Started going to minehead in 2001, mainly for butlins have been going every year as it feels like home to me and is where I have many happy memories with my dearly departed mother
We took our son and his friend to Butlins here about 30 years ago. Visited Minehead for the day a couple of years ago and loved it. It’s got a nice vibe and it feels like a proper seaside town. Nice to see it again.
More of the awesome countryside of Somerset and Minehead is another awesome town with a lot of nice shops and other great attractions to see as well as places to eat and drink which is the best part of exploring a holiday town like this and of course the seaside area of the town with the beach, Somerset really is an awesome place to visit and explore until next time thank you. 🇬🇧🎆🎇🎆🎇🇬🇧
Thank you for this lovely tour around Minehead. It has bought back such a lot of good memories for me when I worked at Butlins in my youth. I had a good five months there, and it’s good to see it again and to see not a lot has changed. Thanks it’s nice to go down memory lane😊
My husband and I were only there last week. Having stayed in a beach chalet at Dunster. We like Minehead, because there are enough people about to give it an atmosphere but it isn't too busy.
Visited Minehead for the day today absolutely beautiful and the Somerset countryside had a peaceful walk from the beach to the harbour had a look at all the boats and paddled twice had fish and chips on the seafront I recommend you try Dana's there it's the fantastic and the batter was tasty and crunchy definitely the best seaside in Somerset
ANOTHER, GOOD VIDEO. My Dad's home town. Boy has it changed since I went there in the 1950's😀 HOW about Watchet? Used to drop a net down the sea wall to catch Crabs and Shrimps.🙂 Dad had a small sailing boat and my Watts family had a shop. Needless to say, Dad joined the Royal Navy in 1939.
I wonder 🤔 if that's Gimbal Walks TV? 🙂 I'd definitely come over and say hello and thank you for making my life better Neil 👍 Minehead looks really nice. Lots to see and do. Great beach etc. I've been told it's better than Weston Super Mere but 🤷
Do you have plans on visiting Ireland and Northern Ireland? I'd love to see their most famous cities and the most beautiful places too! 😍 Greetings! 🌻💝
Another great video why do they always put the seats so low people like me who are bad arthritis in my knees very painful to get up from those type of seats

❤️❤️❤️❤️
I love visiting Minehead, I travel from Australia every couple of years to visit my family, thank you for allowing me to visit again.
Forgot to mention I love walking over the mountain through the forest past the old hedges and walls
Thank you for showing me dear old Minehead. I worked at Butlins in the summer of '75. Great memories. Sad to see the Lido replaced by flats.
I feel lucky to live here . Love that we are surrounded by hills and the sea

I sometimes come to Minehead for a day out from Exeter where I live.
It was amazing to bump into you and actually meet the man behind the camera three times no less …
Likewise!
Was really great to see you!
The railway is great fun and the kids love it. I'd recommend a ride up the line and back

I was in Minehead yesterday 20/7. The WSR where celebrating there 150th anniversary. The weather wasn’t so good, as it is on your clip.
I fell lucky on my trip for sure

Can any Minehead locals tell me what the white buildings in South Wales you can see across the channel? I'm guessing it's Cardiff Bay.
@@markcollinson5665 you can see Cardiff Airport over there.
You didn't mention the cinema
True
