"Visions from the Darkside" the masterpiece of Morbid Angel taken from their debut and legendary album "Altars of Madness", printed in 1989!!
As usual these tracks are not so easy to find by ear, because Morbid Angel create very complicated song parts!! Think I have done my best.........

@@zAvAvAz Richard was a good guitarist and all but Trey was the main songwriter in morbid angel and there would be no morbid angel without him. This is why he is mentioned more often than richard. But no one has forgotten him so don't worry lol

Also this is when Vincents voice was unique which helped make Morbid stand out from some of the other Death metal /Grindcore bands at the time
Heck yeah, it was trey also, on the newer version on covenant of angel of disease the higher pitch voice is Omazing

Thanx dude, well I never thought about this, but certainly Morbid Angel influenced most of the Deah Metal bands of the early 90's and the Swedish ones too, cheers

"...Morbid Angel's Altars of Madness changed everything [about the Swedish scene]. Before that there was no clear distinction between death, speed, or thrash among regular metalheads. It was just brutal metal. But Altars of Madness opened people's eyes, and made us realize something new was going on. Everybody bought that record. Everybody. And thrash was executed by it - the whole genre just disappeared."
I playing guitar since i'm 8 and now i'm 42 ...so i can say you are impressing me to find all these solos. I know how much work it is. I play a lot of songs that you play. I play on bass guitar too. It's interesting to see the way you play some songs compared the way i play it. Sometimes i notice some diferences, very little of course.

This powerchord shifting what Trey does is hard to pull off. Respect.
Not to mention the octave chords he throws in, even his fastest riffs have a groove to them. The way he jumps between tempos, rhythms and time signatures is just mind blowing. Riffs like these could only be conjured with the arcane mind or an eldritch deity such as Azagthoth
Like the opening riff here.its like a trill bar chord on 4th and 5th frets.

Yeah but like do you lift your fingers off the strings and replace them into the new position or just drag them over the strings to the new chord?
I lift if I don't need to slide , it has a different tone

What effect(s) is he using on the last solo besides the harmonizer, if you don't mind me asking. This is on of my favorite Morbid tunes. You really are one of the best on you tube doing what you do and I hope you are better now.
Hello dude, thanx for writing here....well as I wrote on the description menu of this video, I use a Zoom G7.1ut as effects for my guitar. On the last lead I just added an "octave" effect on the patch that I use for my leads, and I usually do this when I need to sound closer to the original solo tone, sometimes I add flanger (for the Chuck Schuldiner ones most of all), sometimes the "octave", sometimes "wah wah", but the main sound I have for my leads are a composition of effects that I created as a patch for my Zoom. Cheers.....
Well, what can I say! It depends on many things.....first of all the guitar must have really powerful pick-ups (I have EMG 81-85 on this guitar), then a good amp and a good setting of your pedal effects!

Don't you have at least rythm part tabbed somewhere? There's already a tab on Ultimate-Guitar, but compared to what you did it's very inaccurate.

You're supposed to downpick the powerchord once and then slide it one fret lower.

Dude, so sorry, but really I don't use that stuff....only my ears. Play the video slowly with VLC video player, it doesn't change the tuning and I think you'll find most of the parts....cheers!!
