Wow. Hyundai Elantra N is insane.
god bless you and your car 🥰
*** The weather conditions were really good for a top speed run. The car cannot reach this speed every time. Its conditions are written in the description ***
Damn Elantra N is insane! I believe Hyundai will beat BMW and AUDI one day
NICE!
Why speed started going down when shifted to 8?
For several reasons :
In seventh gear, at 282 kph, the engine speed is 5500 rpm and develops 276 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque. In eighth gear, at the same speed, the engine speed is 4400 rpm and develops 242 hp and 289 lb-ft of torque. What's more, the gear ratio is 0.88 in seventh gear and 0.70 in eighth. This makes eighth gear harder to turn than seventh, and the engine develops less horsepower because of the lower rpm. To get to 282 kph, the engine gives everything it has, and by shifting into eighth gear, I take away some of its power. The obvious result is a loss of speed.
*(I have a JB4. The specs I wrote are the stock specs. I don't know the specs with the JB4)*
@ENnoobz But, shouldn't it go at the same speed at 5.5k rpms in 7th gear as 4.4k rpms in 8th gear just like other gears?
I don't know what you mean. I'm sorry
Most of the time, the last gear(s) are designed for fuel economy. They have no performance objective
@ENnoobz I mean, for example, if you are going 80 km in 3 th gear at 3500 rpm (just imaginal numbers), when you up shift to 4th gear, rpm drops to 2500, but speed remains same. Doesn't it work with 7th and 8th gears like that?
will you do a tuned pull?
Same setup as in my other videos. The only things that change are the weather conditions
@@ENnoobz i thouht map means stock tune
Map 0 = Stock
Map 1 = Between 1.5 and 3psi more
