Orbital laser will be your best friend in this game, it does a ton of damage, auto locks on enemies and stays on the battle field for a very long time
but u can only use it 3 times per game and has a massive cooldown its kinda ass for players who do every objective and point of interest in the map
Rail cannon orbital is your second best friend
@@fluffymandy Not really, a squad running 4 lasers is op, it can even close holes, destroy buildings, canons, tanks
it's 3 uses per squad/mission. so even if all 4 are running it, it only has 3 uses.@@itriyum
i wish it had more uses but it is amazingly powerful

At least with the wait u log in u play you enjoy - try waiting in a server queue on Dayz then you go AFK then you come back to 'you are dead' screen lol no w THAT is addictive ha ha ha

Recommend darktide. It's 1st person, but it's past the infinite crash "can't figure out my own software" development mess.. not saying play it instead, just worth a shot.
It is also WAY HARDER and there's not a single question about that difficulty difference. (Vermintide is an even more polished version of darktide, they're both different and both incredible.)
Vermintide I didn't pay for. Went on sale for $0 and I know it's VERY common to go on sale for $5-10 so pick it up when it's cheap my friend. :)
I think being released so early in the year will be the only thing stopping this from being game of the year as people may have stopped playing. Additional enemy species would add to longevity to an already class game.
Server issues and bugs are probably gonna keep it from goty. Also helldivers 1 had 3 enemy factions and there's a huge empty chunk of the galactic map so I imagine there'll be more as updates so if they manage to fix the bugs and add more content and mechs like the first game it'll be my goty for sure.
Elden Ring was released in February but won GOTY 2022
Devs have already teased a third enemy faction and I suspect maybe even a forth. We also know they are going to introduce vehicles/mechs and a third Warbond path so we definitely have more content to look forward to 🙂
There where 3 in the first one, and that didn’t include Automatons iirc. We will get one or two more fronts before long

Helldivers 2 is a lot like DMZ, Activision/COD really screwed up letting it die and adding a zombies mode they had no intent to invest in (S02)

If you don't know "EDF". It's the franchise Earth Defense Force, which definetly had influence on this game.
Yup, lots of Air Raider/Ranger-like EDF gameplay, but a lil more grounded physics and health values and more Starship Troopers-esque over-the-top fascism satire. If you go Arc gun, even get a lil bit of Wing Diver in there.

You really don't understand how good the morter turret is. I upgraded them and can do level 7-9 by myself using it. It can take out any enemy, including the highest level ones. Put it behind a wall, and it still works, but the enemies can't get to it.
I like the look of this game, but as I'm Retired ( at 51 ) I don't have any mates to play with so Solo it would be for a time to level up.
How your friend say you don't get samples from those missions when y'all were running past every rare sample y'all came by😂smh

I'm 5p,and I spent the whole day Sunday playing HD2 with my wife. Tells you all you need to know.
Automatons are way more overwhelming then terminids
Sometimes, the thing about bugs is that the armored enemies are a bit harder because they push faster and the swarms underwhelm you in no time

@@jublingtonfor me, I get in in 5-10 mins. I think it’s random people say it’s a queue, but I’ve loaded up the game while my friends were waiting and got in before them. So strange.

I’m 60 hours in mission time and I’m getting sick of it. Grinding for new weapons when they are all garbage. I’m maxed out of Req points and I bought everything there is. The medals are useless because there’s nothing left that’s good to buy. The only armor worth using is light because the armor isn’t working. Just grinded for the spray and pray and it’s complete garbage. March 22nd is right around the corner though. This is a really fun game but it will get old

How I just love those crybabies that whine about how game is repetitive. The core mission is repetitive. Expiriences, dinamic situations and having a blast of fun with your friends is what makes this game FUN AS HELL. Casuals are destroying game industry imo. Thats why we get gems like these so rarely nowadays. If the game is challanging it has a ton of potential to be ACTUALY FUN. Like Elden Ring, hell divers as of recently and so on...

call me crazy but this game looks like it could get REALLY boring, REALLY fast, same missions, same bugs, same planets, seems like a massive novelty phase game for every fan boy out there right now and they will all be bored in a week or two. I can't see much progression and zero story
It's best played with friends, as wild unscripted moments can happen constantly. If you're running solo queue with randoms a lot of the charm is lost.

It isn't about the bug blasting, it's about the BS you get into along the way.
I was in the same boat, looked... fine. But I tried it out and found that it's more about the challenge that it presents. The bugs are an annoyance. You just want to get your mission done, and the fun is about figuring out how to pull that off without dying too much.
And then your teammates are the other problem. The number of times I've been killed by my teammates is... Phenomenal.
It's fun, more fun with mics, even more fun with people you know

Seriously, how has anyone managed to get 50 hours of playtime? I've owned this game since the 13th and haven't done anything but sit in queues and get frustrated at broken matchmaking. I agree, the game is super fun when you get to play, but people need to stop cheering until its regularly playable and matchmaking works, or game companies will keep doing this sort of thing - just my humble opinion.
The devs said they are working on it you have to realize that this game has had more concurrent players in the history of steam. Even a AAA studio with all the servers couldn't account for that sheer volume

Yep. I have to admit it, the devs did good. I don't and am not willing to make excuses for devs - I don't care what the reason was, if your game is unplayable that's a failure on their end. I'll never understand consumers making excuses for companies. Having said that, I *do* believe in giving them time to fix an issue, and they absolutely did. Matchmaking (even with crossplay) appears to be totally fixed and I've had no login issues for days. Happy to say they have totally made good and I'm a huge fan of this game. Way to go, and good job fixing the issues in pretty reasonable time, devs - that speaks volumes about the level of support this game can expect. Very impressed. *applause*
