- New truck, new projects. This is how I installed the rear wheelhouse liners. This is the same process for both GMC and Silverado from 2020 on. Watch through to the end as there are some steps to make this helpful. I mention clips you can purchase from Amazon that'll help out. Link below:

You can slide the liner between the the metal and flares if you use a 90 pick and some patience 😅
I have the patience of a caveman when it comes to some things! This was one of those times...
I love your truck. I just purchased a 2024 2500 HD midnight edition I wish I would have gotten roof marker lights on the top. I didn’t know if you were thinking about putting some on there. The only issue I’m worried about is leaking.
If it had come with them, that would have been great! I had a few other higher priority items that I wanted that this truck had so I overlooked a few of the options that were on my "nice to have" list.
I am debating on getting the hard plastic ones how are the felt ones holding up
I had the same liners in my last two trucks. Never had an issue with them as far as durability and I used a 3,000psi pressure washer on them regularly. Personally I wouldn't do the plastic ones just for the reason that even when they're clean, they still look a little dirty. You'll never have that issue with these!
Thanks for the video, I have the exact same truck, color and all.. How did you get the flares off? I ordered the clips from Amazon and a 90 deg pick, the flares seems really tight and just wondering how you took them without scratching the paint.
Hey there! If you've never removed anything like this, it can be scary. You can start with the plastic tools linked below that do a great job of protecting the paint. Basically just move the tool till you find the piece and use leverage to pull the clip out. After you've done a few of these, you can start to pull the trim piece by hand at one end and you'll feel where the clip is. Put some tension on the piece as best you can on both sides of where the clip is and then just give a good tug. The clip will release. When it's time to put it back on, align the clip and just use the palm of your hand to slap them back in! When I did it, I think I only had 3 or 4 clips break.

Do you know the GM part number for this set?
Yes. The GM part number is 85561534.
@@phil_hazzy Thanks!
Think I found them thanks anyways
@@bradnone1945 hey there, I misunderstood. I have the part number listed in the description with the link to Amazon.
What’s link to clips things on Amazon I just tried installing mines and yours right won’t fit without take them off
You only need to replace broken ones when you remove the trim piece. You won't need to replace them all. If you didn't break any, you're better at removing them than me!
@@phil_hazzy when look on Amazon what part number incase i break them im going try it again when have more time
Why a $70K truck comes without wheel well liners is beyond me????????????????????????
I hear ya! Luckily mine had a discount and was less than $60K so it didn't hurt as bad to spend the $150...
@@phil_hazzy Wow, good deal on a 3/4 ton ! I just bought the 1500 Elevation. Came with them. Would have bought them regardless. Cant imagine a truck without them
