Dude thanks so much! I was having trouble with that one screw with the retainer clip attached to the fender liner. It just wouldn’t line up. Watched your video and it showed how you reused the original one. Perfect after that. Was struggling for hours with it.
@@jamaljackson9879 waxing the areas under the well liners will help protect the painted parts from moisture and debris that may make its way through or around the liners
Hey, quick question on the wheel liner install. Does that center seam need to be stacked so the front half is overlapping the back half? That makes more sense , then having the seam edge facing the direction you’re driving, allowing wind to push water in behind it. If it was overlapped opposite of what you did, the seam would be protected from water being forced in behind the seam when at road speed. Maybe it doesn’t matter but not sure
I thought the same but the back seam is made to over lap the front. Just got done putting mine in and its designed to fit one way. Otherwise the other holes have difficulty lining up properly
Thanks for the video. Whole heartedly agree that for the price I paid it is ridiculous these are not included. And the install instructions are gibberish!
You video was very helpful. Like you I wonder why Chevy left these among things off of these expensive trucks. I have a 2020 Trail Boss Custom also in white.
BROTHER, AWESOME VIDEO. PICKED UP MY LINERS FOR MY 2021 TRAIL BOSS CUSTOM AND THE DIRECTIONS MADE ABOUT AS MUCH SENSE AS VOTING FOR JOE BIDEN. CAME ON UA-cam AND WATCHED YOUR VIDEO AND IT WAS A BREEZE...........GREAT JOB MAN...........PEACE
Just got a 2022 Sierra and the rears were missing as well. Spoke with the dealer and said they're hard to get, but no reason as to why they're not included.
I made it a point that I wanted a short bed with the rear wheel well liners and factory bedliner. I hate the fact that its an option, it should be standard on all trucks.
The z71 package includes the wheel well liners and floor mats too. I made sure mine were installed before I signed for the truck at the dealer. Why did they charge you extra for something that is included in the z71 package? Sounds like you got ripped off by the dealer.
They aren't standard with the Z71 package. My 2020 RST Z71 didn't have them. It's only part of a particular package. I later went to the dealership and got them.
@@operationaldefect7798 thanks appreciate the info. I'm ordering some for my identical truck I'm assuming the ones on the GM accessories website are the felt ones.
I think he is referring to the fire and aft retainers and bolts. Why remove the retainers if you have to put them back in. My liners didn’t come with instructions from the dealership.
On the cheap with Christmas tree fasteners and rubber washers. Who's the genius that thought up that money saving idea. You need to have them install the fender liner and find out how asinine that idea actually is. Charge a few more dollars and make the install as easy as you claim it to be by providing the easy to install fasteners pop in clips etc....
Every truck is different. You got the cheaper version truck. Like your bed, it didn’t come with a bed liner or nothing. Your grille it’s just black and nothing special. I bet another white truck maybe had other features. Not every truck is the same. I have the 2020 High Country. All different trucks son 🇺🇸
the trailboss, being the second highest trim is the only available silverado with the black grill. and the only silverado that looks good unlike the giant chrome mirror that the front end is on the high country

Just picked up a 2021 LT Trail Boss, now I know what to expect. I appreciate this post. Thank you! Also, nice job detailing the part number.
I had a Line-X bed liner sprayed on and had the wells sprayed on for $150. Looks good.
Needed this - was a 2024 GMC but pretty much exactly the same. Thank you.
Just got one yesterday and the same shit was pissed
Couldn’t figure it out, thanks to your video I was able to get the job done thank you
You’re the man this was extremely helpful! Waxing was a smart idea 🍻
Why wax???

So quick question. So you only have to take out one screw on each flap ?
Thanks for taking the time to make this video. Helped me out a lot!

Yup, the rear has to fold over the front
Thanks for making this video. I agree it looks much better! I plan on doing the same to my 2020 RST
Best video out there for liner install!!!!!!
Great job bro that's for the information nice video I had to 2 months to get them.
Thanks for the video. Whole heartedly agree that for the price I paid it is ridiculous these are not included. And the install instructions are gibberish!
Just finished mine up thank you great video !!!
I know the same feeling....Front liners stock and rear liners optional....Really on a $50,000 vehicle.....Chevy's a brick shy of a load!!
Ford and other manufacturers are doing this as well man. It’s not just a “GM thing”.
thanx! my 24'LT didnt come with them I ordered a set from RC

Hey at least you got the opening center console I have the 2019 where the center console does not open
Hey! Got my summit white 21 Trail Boss from Glynn Smith as well. Loving it so far!
Are the liners symmetrical? Does it matter which one goes on the driver vs passenger side?
Installed husky liners, they are sweeeeeeet 😊 I like the rough country also.
WHERE CAN I FIND THE AMIGO HARDWARE KIT FOR A SILVERADO CUSTOMS 2021
What is the purpose of removing the fire and aft retainer clips? I am doing mine now but had no instructions included.
well done!!just ordered mine today

Not another dragged out video. To the point and done. What it should be.

Dude just got one, thanks so much. 1👏👏👏👏 good vid
Nice video! I need to do this for my 2500.
Does the set come with one or 2
Awesome video and step by step instruction. Only question I have is what is the significance of waxing the wheel well after washing? Thanks!!
Why not?
FYI, if you bought your 2020 Silverado 1500 truck with fender flares, you do not need to remove them. Try to get it on the screws first.
Inexcusable these are not a factory installed item. My 2017 Ram Big Horn had them. GM seems to always be cutting corners.
Just ordered mine today
Great Video! Anybody that waxes the wheel wells is my kinda guy!
Why would you want felt wheel well liners? Should have went with the Husky or Rough Country wheel liners.
I made it a point that I wanted a short bed with the rear wheel well liners and factory bedliner. I hate the fact that its an option, it should be standard on all trucks.
I understand if you have a w/t to not have them, w/t are supposed to be cheap. But at 50k for ANY trim level over base, come on.
Does the front already come with liners from the factory?
Yes
Yes I got to get some next month also makes the truck look bad . Yes you would think they would put that in a expensive truck
Do you have a link to where you bought it from ?…
Just ordered mine
Yeah exactly 60k truck wish it would’ve came w them
Mine came included. But wish the wheel liners were plastic. Makes washing so much easier
Did you buy preowned or brand new?
@@leir2005 brand new
Yeah, felt doesn't seem like the right type of material.
Great video man thanks!
I thought the lts come with it but not on the custom.
I'm going to install some in a week or so. Thanks

What made you buy a felt instead of plastic liners won't the plastic last longer?
The felt ones are oem and they match the front.
Also I read the plastic ones are really noisy.

You can’t even order them anymore because of the back order I am writhing a letter to General Motors and do a complaints
Nice video
How dose the felt stand up to water and mud ?
They’ve done really well actually
Question. The two holes on the bottom of each side what are those supposed to screw to?
Which holes are you talking about?
I think he is referring to the fire and aft retainers and bolts. Why remove the retainers if you have to put them back in. My liners didn’t come with instructions from the dealership.
Does it come with all the nuts and bolts from the dealership or do you need to buy them separately
I just the kit for my 2500hd and it came with the hardware
How much did the OEM cost you?
$150
For real and they are $100 to install. I figured i use my chevy points and use the coupon got it for $87
Dont feel bad i payed 62 and didnt get them either.. and that stupid slit down the middle kills me
Mine was so stiff that it didn’t align perfectly
Is there way to make more money ..
Perhaps
I know I can not find them
Where did you get them

Mine were included but mine had every option for 58,000
If yours were included they probably charged you way more than $150 for them
That pissed me off I paid for some and never gotten them
I think are the cheapest trucks in the market everybody got one in my block
Dodge has that reputation here.
Foreal man, pretty annoyed they didn't fucking include it. or the bed liner
55k 2021 ram doesn’t have them either wtf!
WHY WAX?!?
