I am so happy I love your work, your personality, and your tips, Edyta. You are a beautiful person, I ran across a video of you and your husband at Quilt Market and I loved the stories you shared about your life with Mike, getting ready for the show. And all of the wonderful stories about his grandmother. So happy to see you finally doing you tube videos on your own terms, now no one can rush you through tips and techniques when you are explaining how to make a block. Thankfully now we get have one on one with you. The quality of the video is very clear, and I really liked the inset. Please keep them coming. And thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to share your talent with the world. Much appreciated. :)
I find it much easier to use the four-at-a-time no-waste method for making flying geese. There are charts on the internet for making any size flying geese. And best of all, no bias edges to worry about stretching.
I have the Aurora pattern. I am new to making flying geese. My confusion is 1 7/8 cutting a half square triangle. I see the diagram but am not sure what size the initial block should be. Perhaps I need to be more experienced at quilting to understand these directions.
I have subscribed and thank you for your videos. Meanwhile I feel compelled to say your camera person and friends may be doing you a great disfavor. There is no such word as geeses. One goose, two geese. No matter how many geese you make, they are still geese, not 'geeses.' Trust, me I know all the sides. I have been in your shoes, second languages are hard and English is not an easy second language to grasp. Moreover, I know a person simply cannot learn any language, first, second, third or subsequent without making mistakes. I applaud your courage in making mistakes to communicate. I also know it can be a real bummer for people to point out all the mistakes. Meanwhile, I also know that if no one points out the mistakes, one never learns. Thus, with compassion and understanding, I aim to simply say 'geeses' bite my nerves. You can have a tea party with one woman friend or two women friends, but it just makes no sense to have a party with three womenses friends. There, at that party, you may dance as loose as a goose, and the three of you may dance as free as geese, but there is still no such word as geeses. After all, if you have seven flying geese in a block of a quilt and eight such blocks, do you then have fifty-six geeseses? Then you make another quilt. Would that be geeseseses? Yes, I know, JRR. Tolkien wrote about one jacket as jacketses, but only in the voice of Gollum, illustrating how far Gollum had gone from civilization and association with people (humans, elves, hobbits and others). I also get the idea, the uses of geeses was an immigrant joke. No, not here. I like your videos. I think I understand your aim. Clearly I am in the minority, the horrid language police. Still, please use the word geese, not geeses.
Tout ce que vous réalisez est fait de façon impeccable et avec une telle minutie. Vous êtes une passionnée et vous savez transmettre votre amour du travail bien fait. Félicitations.
I love sawtooth star blocks. They are so versatile. You are such a great teacher. One construction method is to use the 4 at a time flying geese method with squares v. cutting individual triangles. It is a great time saver and doesn't split any prints in the goose body allowing greater harmony to the eye (if 2 HSTs are used instead of a goose as some do)
Excellent tutorial by one of the most talented quilters on the Net. The complexity of ES's quilts are fascinating. Check out the 8 Point Star video, via FQS, which is exceptional.
Какая милая женщина.Без фальшивой жизнерадостности,без лишней болтовни очень спокойно все показала.Лайк!
