13:13 You are completely right about Equipping and Attaching differences. Silent honor Ark and Cyber dragon Infinity work the same way as precedents.
All of the bad DragonLink players coming out for this format I guess.
You have no idea how much i am enjoying this ddd content man
Yeah ikr, its an incredibly fun deck to see
We need more DDD
"Let him enter battle phase because you're guaranteed not to lose this turn"
Loses this turn.
Lolol
After seeing that turn 1 I see why toast was up $50
‘They are using the secret effect!’
Considering these are YGO players; i.e. they do not read cards, every effect is a secret effect.
Wow that was amazing. Recently I just struggled to learn DDD, and boom a good DDD content from DB grinder. Thanks man
16:20 they may have tidying in grave but they cant activate because you can only activate on of its effects per turn and they already bounced a card with it
Yeah
I’ve gotten a lot better with d-links and have been trying different builds and have to say the galactic dragon is very useful in alot of situations. Plus it’s a free vampire !
Watching DB Grinder correct all of the Dragon players misplays makes me moss the days when DB Grinder played Dragon link 😔
46:46 another cool line they had without the Kepler topdeck was to Thomas, get back Kepler, Kepler bounce back Thomas, link seals (which with headhunt is a DD) and Kepler for Gilgamesh go get another 2 scales and from there it should be easy to find lethal especially if they have another Ragnarok in deck to scale up.
Still amazing video as always, none can quite commentate dragon link like you do!
Chaos space putting back striker is really underated. If you don't have black/white in rotation you have to prior banish it for something them recycle for suree
Thanks a lot for that Shrek reference, made my day
BACK AT IT AGAUN WITH another videeeooooo
nah when Grinder saw that Dragonduo get milled ayoo son blew a circuit had to reboot lmao
For the xyz it 100% stays on board. Works the same with number 101. Xyz is destroyed and the target stays on board
Do you have a source for that ruling?
@@Harmonic14 Q: When resolving the Quick Effect of "D/D/D Deviser King Deus Machinex", if "D/D/D Deviser King Deus Machinex" or the opponent's Monster Card that activated the effect is no longer on the field, how does the effect resolve?
A: When resolving the effect of "D/D/D Deviser King Deus Machinex", if "D/D/D Deviser King Deus Machinex" is no longer in the Monster Zone and you control a face-up "Dark Contract" card, the effect finishes resolving by destroying 1 of those "Dark Contract" cards. (The opponent's Monster Card that activated the effect remains on the field.)
When resolving the effect of "D/D/D Deviser King Deus Machinex", if the opponent's Monster Card that activated the effect is no longer on the field, the effect finishes resolving by either detaching 2 Xyz Materials from this card or destroying 1 "Dark Contract" card you control. (Perform the one that can be applied. However, if neither can be applied, the effect finishes resolving without doing anything.)
Official OCG Ruling.

An in-depth battle phase video would be much appreciated
Thank you for clarifying the zero king effect, so people don't get it wrong like me cause of ygopro lol
Keep the DDD content coming! Can't afford the spreadsheet :)
pls dont buy the spreadsheet with ur own money just go on youtube and tryna slowly learn the combo like Jackygo made a rlly good 2 hours on the ddd combo for free
dont waste ur money like that, u have kkid who has the spreadsheet literally for free or just jackedygo who has long videos handtesting or just straight up explaining the combos and deckbuilding
that was dope. Had to get used to your commentary but now i like it. keep it up!
Lets gooo random unicorn play lmao that killed me right there😂😂😂
love seeing both of these decks. every duel seems unique since they have different ways to play out theirs hands
Ddd best deck Lesss go
44:45 ''Meh,We like to attack for 0''
She told me that when i break up
im so torn with DDD right now; the new stuff/build make it seem like the deck can definitely play through handtraps and disruption much better but at the cost of power. perhaps recursion has also gone up. the end field just feels much weaker than previous DDD end boards and while yes, it may be easier to get to the 'end board' now but if that end board is only 1-2 negates compared to the like 5 negates they got a few years back it feels like the deck has moved laterally. i could be wrong; consistency and recovery has definitely beaten out power format after format before
This is a good point. I think it's due to the diminishing marginal impact of interaction. Your first and second interactions are much more likely to be impactful than your 4th and 5th. The amount of times your 5th negate (for example) wins you the game is probably very small. So consistently putting up a few pieces of interaction and having guaranteed follow up has always been stronger than glass cannon decks that are high risk, high reward.
Thats not necessarily true. The way I look at it, it's a function of bricks, and linearity of your combo. DDD seems so robust right now, and it's boards are very versatile. Headhunt, Patent License, Siegfried, High Caesar, Fleur, And Machinex. They basically cover the entire scope of the game. That and they have a floodgate that is searchable that beats PK.
I dont know the deck that well but if i remember before you did not wanted to be locked into D/D/D that early with the Link like now, before you usually make some Halq play making Crystal Wing,Savage then go for Link which was a way cooler board but the deck is way more consistent now.We saw the guy was running Nib,Lancea,Ash,Gamma and he bricked only once for 7 games the deck looks strong.
The consistency is great; it has gotten more resistant to handtraps; the recursion is good; you can run 9+ handtraps without hurting the consistency too much. All those factors outclass the "old" end board which ends on a few more negates. Besides, the only version which can do that is the Needlefiber variant, which is quite fragile against handtraps, and overall just worse.
It's dependent on whether or not you got for a pure D/D/D build or not. Generally speaking, Pure D/D/D's had a problem with setting up turn 1 boards due to their lack of interaction, which is why builds that just opt for every generic negate in the extra deck were so popular. I'd say both pure and non-pure are now both perfectly viable, but whether or not it can compete confidently in this current banlist has yet to be seen, but I'm optimistic, especially since a lot of the big meta decks got hit hard.
47:40 db grinder pep talk lets go
8:45 Define "scaling it up"
pend scales going into zones
My dudes forget that Chaos Emperor can't send cards from Extra Monster Zone. Lotta text
it can send their extra monster zone just not their own
Unbelievable. How can you be so bad at Dragon Link and be willing to play for high stakes? Terrible player, just stating the facts. Easy money for Toast. Good for him that there are people out there willing to throw away their money
Ddd is solid tier 2 this format
Played birds last format bc I feel like if piloted correctly it won almost every time. Is D/D/D the same this format? Seems like a much higher skill ceiling/floor tho
I think it might be overhyped a little
DD have a higher skill floor because they punish even simple misplays.
There is no skill ceiling, you cant be too good with a deck. So let's say potential instead of ceiling.
Birds have way higher potential even compared to post-support DD, and were only held back by Protos. Compared to birds, Swordsoul seem like casual (not even rogue). If they didn't get hit, they would be the undisputed tier 1 deck to beat this format.
DD now perform quite well and for the first time they have main deck space for staples + good in-engine interruptions. That's why they are overhyped. They are still rogue, with a potential for tier 2 depending on the format
@@babrad funny you say held back by protoss when the dude who got second at NA ycs said he never hit birds with protoss once lmao
D/D was and is still very hard to pilot
@@CM-tv2bu just because at 1 event, 1 player (even if they got to finals) didn't use Protos on birds, doesn't mean the card was bad in that matchup.
Breaking their board with Protos guaranteed there would be no followup, while games 2/3 it prevented Omen/Access on top of forcing them to deal with the rest of the board.
Toast drew so insane every game wtf 😂
Game one he drew 2 soft garnets that you normally search, not insane
13:13 it would go to gy, your chain link 2, but they would still get the effect off.
14:18 Levi eff resolves
Question, at the first Game around 5:25 werent the dl player, locked to dark? And they summoned a light from spheres or i remember bad that attribute ?
they made seal before using that effect
@@TheDBGrinder Yeah, i mean the summon from sphere effect, the seyfert, you are still locked by tracer true?
@@Parejo00 tracer only locks you into DARK extra deck monsters
Damn i don't know vampire and spiral dragon are kinda the standard for dralink now, i play those card a while back on edopro. I'm kinda proud that i did the right thing lmao
29:21 If he make quadboorel and destroy dharc then he can go into a borrelsword, change the position of baronne and then go for game
If a Dlink deck plays one seal, u doing something wrong or just don't care about nib game 1. Good way to start my morning with Dlink content 🙏
True, i feel u only play one seal if ur roberto or maybeitsdestiny if ur insane with the deck and know how to play it too its near max potential but even then you wouldnt for obvious reasons; its just too good of a card
Both 2 best decks playing against each other damn that goes hard
40:40 I don't know D/D/D D well so I thought that hand was insane lmao. Looks really good to me going first but I guess not.
Me too lol! I thought it was full combo from what I saw before during the video. 😂
your face at 4 minutes made me fucking cry bro im so dead u were so shook by the thunder dragon lmao
Dragon player just throwing money away
Can we start watching db matches with players who actually know what they’re doing with the dragon link deck lol?
Isn’t the summon of Seyfert at min 4:53 illegal? bc tracer pop eff locks into darks
tracer only locks extra deck
9:20 why do you still take damage after placing gol with the gilgamesh? knowing this now is annoying because i lost in time to d/d/d because my opponent said they didnt take damage after placing the scale
its scale effect isnt applied there , i cant remember why exactly off top of my head but i know thats how it works
Why are some people running phantazmay now?
idk
Yup dd stuff good stuff!
Remote dueling man paying a lot while learning Dlink.
My gosh it was near to be 6-0
Bro Toast is such on such another level. His replays are always gas
I have been playing YUGIOH for over 3 years and I dont remember a format that Dagons were really bad i can probably say the combos while im sleeping. TBH i just skip the video to the exciting part when i see dragons
at 13:19 you are correct
D/D/D or swordsoul will win the next ycs imo
Shoutout to my boy Toast, a firm believer in the spreadsheet and A friend from my personal server
How many defensive cards can D/D/D realistically fit?
@@ishaanjakhar7541 for handtraps and the like its 9 flex spots
@@ishaanjakhar7541 9-12
you can only use one effect of tidying once perturn
Nothing like a little grinder to help the mornin start
I definitely think if the D-link was piloted better it would have been a little more even but do you think DDD is just a better overall over all Dlink builds?
As a DDD player i think Dragon link is most likely a stronger/more consistent deck BUT i also think dragon link is an extremely hard deck to play optimally. DDD is also a very hard deck but personally i think dragons are even harder.
@@cooldes4593 As a DDD player myself i believe DDD is a little harder than d-link, but d-link is much stronger. The problem is that current meta is full of Droplet and unfavorable matchups for d-link, where DDD has mixed interruptions (patent/headhunt), more streamlined anti-nib combos and a better followup.
It's just that d-link isn't "solved" for this format, i wouldn't be surprised if a new approach makes this again tier 1.
@@babrad I personally disagree. I think that d-link is and has been working with some extremely broken cards (quick launch, chaos package, seal/tidying etc.) and their combos are usually doable with like any two dragon monsters. Meanwhile for DD our combos are very draw dependent on what we can end on. This makes me feel like dragons are more consistent, which leads to more wins over a long period or a higher placing in a tournament for example.
@@babrad totally not a biased take lol
@@cooldes4593 And how you disagree with what i said? Both of us said that d-link is stronger. DD combos are more effective for the current meta (at least the "pure" version) while D-link's are a lot more "flexible" (your example of 2 random dragon monsters). Dragons are actually more consistent, completely agree on that, but the seem very fragile in this specific meta.
I really hope to prove myself wrong but i believe older meta decks like d-link and vw will have more success because they abuse staples much better than us. The big change with this support is that we know have more "in-engine" interruptions + 12 main deck spaces.
I have played both decks, and pre-support just Levianeer was a game winner for D-Link vs pure DDD in case i didn't drew negation in the form of Droplet/Imperm/Chalice/Veiler. While decks like VFD VW were a very good matchup because Siegfried + Eternal Darkness was GG.
what’s the lore behind chaos ruler being called pepega ruler i’ve been wondering since i started watching the channel
deadlyb7 called it that and it kinda just stuck
Never understood these money matches. Why do they just keep digging deeper and deeper, who gets to decide when it's cash out time?
a lot of people are okay with that cause they can make more money and if you wanna you can just cash out anytime really
More DDD pls Mr.DBGrinder
Destiny is best d link player on db like 6 months ago when I started playing again I would watch him play the deck and he made me make it lol
Ayo this Dragon Link players is killing me !! T_T
His ruling really good o.o
How you gonna wager and not know how to play your deck, let alone not use dharc ef
Emperor doesn’t send for cost and main decking nib in this deck is bad.
btw deos DRM even know how do play Dlink?
Nope
Upper moon 3 caught
Love ddd
Well, I think if the dragon player is not Roberto or MaybeItsDestiny them we are going to see some non optimal plays 😓
You have any links to their gameplay? Would like to learn more about D-links
@@nickmccauley8009 you can go to ygoscope and search their nickname to see the replays i think (never used that tbh)
Yay hat Gang 🧢
I’m sick, is this why they say dragons are bad? Cause of this guy?
Bruh dragons ain’t hard to make god board keep it simple make the seal bow mistress plus savage red hot
"bow mistress" lmao

I need to know how many beanies you got DBG
like 10
@@TheDBGrinder Be careful bro it's bad for the hair loss fr fr
Why can’t you use droplet during damage calculation but you can use forbidden chalice??
Cards that modify stats can not be activated during damage calculation, only at the start of the damage step and before damage calc. This includes forbidden chalice and droplet
