    That's one I gave up on years ago. They rarely restock, and unless ya have the funds on hand, they disappear once again.
    It's a beautiful knife. Congrats on the gift .

      @8626John I could get one if I really wanted to. I just kinda moved on from it., to be honest that Brisa Kephart has become my favorite knife in years. I really enjoy building them from blanks , I think their Trooper might be on my next project list ...Saves me money and I can make the handle how I like it 😁

    These blades were designed from Mors Kochanski’s stated ideal specs for an outdoors/Bushcraft knife. L. T. makes them for Ben’s Backwoods and in the USA at least they’re only available through him. I’ve wanted one of these for some time, but not many are made and they’re hard to get.

    hybrid design I personally love pukkos have quite a few and that knife is a mix of pukkos with the designer bringing some American traits with full tang trying to beef up the knife because in were drawn to the cutting of pukkos and the beauty and comfort but there's always worry about stick tangs some reason if a knife is not a full tang and you can't beat on it they shy away from it I've watched these guys on UA-cam if it not a full the knife not any good you'll break it and die in the woods I dismiss those people they claim to be all knowing professional there not a student of knife culture or history people in all regions of the world have a knife that has become the knife they know because that's were live I've always tried to understand history of the knife and why there's so many different kinds alot are purpose driven environment and what you need from that knife when I'm out in the woods I'll have 3 to4 different knife and a axe small in size so I like the fact that you never just this no good you seem to find some thought to the design that's what drawn me in and the reason why I subed when you very got started I have 4 ltwright knifes they make some of the best thanks for another great video 😊😊

    • @OldForestBushcraft

      You’ re so right with this being an hybrdid! Just combines many elements from Nothern American And Nordic knkfe traditions.
      I always felt that f.e. Puukkos are mighy strong. I’ve batoned with them always, and never had any problems. Look for example my review of the old Marttiini. Used that knife over 20 yers, and no problems.
      That only full tang knives are strong is a myth.
      Thanx for watching, habe an great day!🌲🔪🌲

    A full, Full tang knife, with a chiol . It has some features of a Puukko, it in my mind it is not Puukko. Might be nice knife but it is not my cup of tea.

    • @OldForestBushcraft
      @OldForestBushcraft  3 місяці тому

      No, would not say its Puukko. But as for American full tang knives goes, the inspiration is pretty obvious. So its not that far fetched.
      Thx for watching, have a great day!
