Funeral held for 3-month-old baby killed in wrong-way crash on Ontario’s 401 highway

- The family of a three-month old baby killed - along with his grandparents - in a wrong-way crash on Ontario’s Highway 401 last week gathered Wednesday to say their goodbyes.
At the funeral, the baby’s aunt said although his life was cut tragically short, he is woven into the fabric of their lives forever.
The collision happened after a police chase that began with an alleged liquor store robbery.

I know what it's like to lose a loved one, my 55 year old grandmother had come to this country on a vacation for 2 weeks, when a drunk driver killed her instantly, she was ejected from the back seat because at that time their was no seat belt law at the time straight thru the windshield up in the air and landed on the ground, broken neck because of alcohol.
It's disgusting and it's totally scentless. May God 🙏 heal the broken hearted. And give them faith, to keep strong and try never to give into the Devil 😈. Pray Pray Pray. And keep GOD close. I will say a prayer for the families and the Mom and Dad that lost that beautiful little baby. And the grandparents. But we must never forget that the baby is with the Holly Spirit because he loves all his children. And Mom and Dad will One day see him in heaven.
The vehicle was travelling the wrong way on the highway. I think there would have a tragedy chase or not. Let's blame the criminals.
..... No. That's not true. Speed would have been reduced. Which in a head on collision is a key factor even if it was 30km/h less in lives being saved.
I have respect for every single officer that work hard to protect the people they serve for. But this is beyond reckless. Clearly there was an alternative altercation involved with an officer at the sense of the crime where they lost all common sense. You see one division (opp) all on one side of the highway, and another division (Durham ) on the on coming side of the highway.
Do the math.
@@hhealy7199 its standard protocol in MANY places for police to stop pursuing an individual in a high speeds chase if said pursuit is becoming increasingly dangerous, as engaging in such a chase is, at that point, too dangerous. instead, priority is put into monitoring the suspect vehicle until it comes to a point where its once again safe or reasonable for police to attempt to apprehend the suspect. This is why, because when things are done recklessly, innocent lives that should have never been taken are lost.

The wrong way chase was unnecessary. What did the police think was going to happen? The person was going to drive recklessly to get away from police. They should have let the person go, and pick him up later. High speed chase is bad enough, but chasing someone going in the wrong direction?
I totally agree .these departments of law enforcement need to rethink how they do police chases

The Family that’s left need to Sue the Police Force it was the Police that didn’t shut down the 401 or use their helicopter to take photos from air of the driver and the plates.
It happened so quickly and the police did the best they could.

We saw Police ask residents to "Leave car keys by the front door to avoid home invasion" , not to follow if a car is stolen nor they turn-up on-time to distress calls related to stolen vehicles..We saw their heights of inefficiency came to light with the recovery of $34.5M worth of stolen vehicles in shipping containers in Montreal... in 2022 the auto-insurance paid $1.2 billion in theft claims.. see in billions.. and these senseless men in uniform chased killing innocent lives for a store robbery! What an absurd act 😖😩

Rest assured, they won't even be demoted. In the end, after a few multi-million dollars inquiries, the verdict will be: No one was at fault. It was a procedural error, which was since rectified. Face saved. Canada is still NUMBER ONE!

The crimes you listed, sounds like a drug addict, which you see everywhere specially on the street in downtown Toronto.. Not murder or rape, or terrorism. Your using racial profiling to try to prove points.
The laws and bail reinforcement is the law, part of charter rights and freedoms. But you know all this as when it comes to the defense of the officers same will be applied. Bails will also be gratred. (God forbid you end up in jail with all the people you put on right?)
