I was a a teenager in Texas in Pharr, Texas when I heard him he was fabulous. I love his music. He’s from Corpus Christi. We were workers in the field, but we were always wanted to hear him all the time.
i am so proud to say that it was my father Juan Hernandez. who died 27 years ago. the one that made that song. the real author. have all the story as what inspired him on writting this song.
It was my son song Las Nubes and I will remember him barbecuing and playing this song now he isn’t here anymore he passed away that is my favorite song loved ❤❤
Yo tenia unos 9 años estaba con mi papa en El area de Modesto en California cuando esta cancion la escuche en la radio hoy tengo 58 años y estoy llorando como un niño
I love Little Joe's music..for many years, because when I was little my Dad had both legs amputated so he'd sit on his bed, listen to the radio and I remember when this song would come on he'd listen very quietly and just stare into space..maybe thinking what if things were different 😢
Man,I was a very young man who along with his siblings and mom worked very hard in the fields lil joe with all his great music helped un chingos arriba los campesinos no hablen mal de mi Raza sin nosotras se mueren de hambre
I understand your sentiments well. But compesinos did not put food on our tables and it came from the supermarket. I know where you are coming from. This is America! You can be what ever you want to be! We all struggled in our life’s to achieve our goals. I feel that the only one that holds a person back is the person itself! The opportunities are endless and nothing can hold you back. If you make just a little effort to educate yourself, you will see the world in a very different light. Only you can make yourself a dark place. I pay my bills on time. I don’t want to sit here in the dark!
The song that never ends. I've dance to this song more than any other song in my life. LOVE it! I can run off the dance floor, go get a drink, go to the ladies room, hit the dance floor and same song is still going.
Lo conocí en el Hollywood Palladium por los principios de los 70, quedé fascinada ellos cerraron el concierto. Que felicidad oírlos de nuevo en aquellos entonces en mis 20 o 21. Gracias por compartir !!

Well, here in Houston the city got flooded with people from south of the border and practically killed la onda chicana. The Houston rodeo stopped hiring tejano bands for " go tejano day" years ago. Due to the fact that it would not sell tickets. Instead, they're hiring Banda style bands from Sinaloa Mex. _ ,Go figure. Saludos from Htown.

I grew up listening to Little Joe music and I will not stop any time soon. I have seen him live many times and he never ceases to amaze me. My grandmother, both my parents, and one of my brothers are now gone, and some of this music brings back great memories of them.
