Here’s the Maths. $100,000,000 jackpot on tv means there’s been about $140,000,000 in ticket sales, the US government takes about 40% straight off the top which is why on the tv you’d only see “$100,000,000”. In taxes from what I learn from an accountant, the federal tax is 37% they’ll withhold 24% so you’ll pay the other 13% at the end of the year, state taxes in California is 13.3% and then if you make over a million it’s another 1%. This is California tax rate for example. That’s 51.3% gone if you win in California. California lies about the 0% tax rate for lottery but it’s your state income tax you’ll have to pay. They’ll love making you read between the lines and punish you if you don’t. And anything after $13.6 million lifetime gift tax is taxed at 10-40% depending on how much you give.
They did shut it down, was too much work and not making enough money. I would just put it in a low risk index fund and let it grow, and never have to work again
One thing I never understand is the whole advice over investments, stocks, bonds, etc because if you didn’t do it beforehand with your victory, why do it now whenever you have that money that is more than enough for the rest of your life? Also I believe that if you’re getting financial advisors, accountants, and lawyers be very careful about that because if you get the wrong ones (especially the wrong accountant) then you’ll lose everything all at once.

They have made some good investments: a huge house with two pools, with all new lavish furniture, expense cars for everyone, a new restaurant, remodeling their original home, private chefs, personal trainer, 2nd wedding (cost?), that's just in the first year.
the Morrisons seem like a great family. I love how close they all are, and besides splurging on the house (which they can afford), they seem like they are just a normal family. Enjoy!

I hope they will continue living like this for the rest of their lives. They deserve it. ❤
Why can't people just embrace they're win, instead of spending ridiculous amounts of money, on ridiculous pointless items, that are just for show!...They were blessed with this win, right when it was needed...After the worry of almost losing, what they worked hard for, one would think, the threat, would have made them humble enough to look seriously at how not to go down that road again!...I'm just saying...Great for them both and their daughter's...I just know, spend to get a float, then spend because you can, then buy that nice moderate home to fit all, the expensive, but practical vehicles, a practical vehicle and modest home for each child, then make that money, make you more money!...It's not rocket science!
@@tiffanyclark7442I agree with you. Also I believe embracing small victories is as important as the big ones as well. Enjoying the little things make the big things that much better.

Why do you have the parrot locked in the cage like that that is so horrible let the thing out to be free.
Very humble family they deserved the blessing.
Mr Morrison should join the 3x weekly training sessions in order to be around a few more years to enjoy the winnings. A private chef helps, too, but Dad seems to be gaining poundage at an alarming rate.
THAT IS ANOTHER THING THEY DONT NEED IS A CHEF MAKING FATTY FOODS. THEY ARE BLOWING THRU THEIR MONEY!
@@JENKEN425 -$65 million dollars said and done. From what was shown here they've probably spent $6-7 million. That still leaves over $50 mil to invest. Can probably live off of interest, and/or investments.
@@JENKEN425 they will end up having acid reflux , esophagus issues , and much more , that's
what happens when people eat Greasy , Fried and Spicy Foods , Stop drinking soda too .
because millions of people end up with Acid Reflux and that's becoming one of the number one
health issues and if they think they have health issues now , it's going to get worse .
And I am NOT joke at all . Process foods is what makes people sick, in many ways.
Process foods has to much chemicals in it , including soda .
Did you know Soda eat the joints in your body, muscles and your GUT .
Soda eat the lining of your stomach and then end up with Gut issues that's really bad .
Great hardworking lovely families, so great to see them relax now and being able to have easier lives to enjoy with their families
that first family. the morrisons... so worthy of that prize.
Lottery winner or not, u have to respect money. People, who have never had money, often buy, big opulent homes, fancy cars, and live above their means. They don't realize, u have to pay taxes, on most everything . If u win big, get a stock broker , like Charles Schwab.Dont spend money extravagantly . U dont need a mansion.
Buy index mutual funds that have very low commissions unlike Charles Schwab funds that charge high commissions.
NEVER GO TO CHARLES SCHWAB OR BIG BROKERS, THEY RIP U OFF. FIND A SMALLER REPUTSBLE FINANCIAL EXOERT AND MAKE SOME INVESTMENTS.
You Are 100% Right . Respect money !!! Sallyclay1974 you are a smart lady.
My plan at the age of 18 years old was long term plans , where I would work hard, go to college.
Then have a full-time job. The stockbroker was my brother-in-law who taught me and entire family how to invest. Did investment, save money, and including 401K , traditional Ira , and fast forward retired early by a few years, debt free, and living below our means just NOT ABOVE.
Get into Fidelity, invest that $6000 Roth IRA yearly. Buy dividends and take your risk but do your DD.
Keep going like they going and they gonna be broke again in a few years 😂😂😂😂
I worry for the last family. I hope they save and invest a large portion of the yearly income. 90k a year til about 53 years old could end in disaster if he’s not planning for the future.
90'000 A YEAR ISNT MUCH MONEY IN 2024. IF IT ENDS WHEN HE IS 53 HE IS IN TROUBLE. HOPE THE CIGAR SHOO WORKS. HE NEEDS TO INVEST .
Hopefully he Will play His house in the first several years and the rest put it aside
So they won 165M took the lump sum of 102M but only got 75M after taxes!?
That's insane. It's still alot, yes. But congrats to the IRS for getting the rest
Here’s the Maths.
$100,000,000 jackpot on tv means there’s been about $140,000,000 in ticket sales, the US government takes about 40% straight off the top which is why on the tv you’d only see “$100,000,000”.
Then the lotto company takes half of that so the winner only gets $50,000,000.
But the winner has to pay tax on that which could be as high as 50% so that leaves the lotto winners $25,000,000 from $140,000,000… that’s how many times they get robbed. It’s pretty sad.
@@krisb-travelthat's simply not true. Not sure why you keep spreading misinformation
@@robert7838 I love how you’re counter argument included all the reasons why it’s not true. You made a great point. Sadly it is true. Learn some maths
They got taxed at 55%
In taxes from what I learn from an accountant, the federal tax is 37% they’ll withhold 24% so you’ll pay the other 13% at the end of the year, state taxes in California is 13.3% and then if you make over a million it’s another 1%.
Story number 2 (the farm)....and they say "money doesn't buy happiness". This guy was smart in how he handled it.
Freedom for that bird
EXACTLY!
Thank you so much for uploading these episodes!
Who ever advised this guy gave him bad advice!! Guy won millions and doesn't need to pump millions into a restaurant that probally isn't open today.
@@lakerskid2013 THEY CAN MAKE CONSWRVATIVE INVESTMENTS L IKE CDS, U DONT NEED A LAWYER OR A CCOUNTANT FOR THAT.
@@lakerskid2013best to go to university yourself to teach yourself like Shane Missler. Then start off trading to get your hands dirty. The financial advisors take a huge chunk and pay you like a 401k. 8% on the safe side. Teach yourself to reap the benefits and learn to get average return on 15% instead.
I’m next 🗣️🙏🏾🤞🏾
That's the best you can do for that poor bird!!! It is STILL IN A TINY CAGE!!!
Yes I agree! They seem like really nasty people, but of course that's just my opinion
Having a personal chef, a personal trainer with no other income coming in, you’re gonna go broke fast
you are 100% correct . If I won, I would NEVER want a Mansion because it cost a lot of money,
just with the Upkeep on the home. I am a practical person, I rather live below my means and NOT ABOVE . debt free is the best , like I am now , I worked for years , saved , invest and never lived in
something fancy and drive a simple vehicle with 300,000 miles .
Live like Warren Buffett. Live house and drive a vehicle that will not break the bank .
*These are the BEST KIND OF WINNERS* !
The winner that comes to mind are the couple who Moved out of their home Overnight , neighbors didn't even know about it . They kept it Quiet. And no new who the winners were and their NAMES were NEVER TOLD, NOT EVEN TO THIS DAY. These are winners who can have a quiet life and live simple .
Wow, you're living like Kimora Lee the famous model, always keep God in center of your life
Phew! $27,000,000 in taxes! In the UK one wins the WHOLE amount. One only pays tax in the next year on the profits and interest the principle and investments accrue.
If I ever won I would live in a small ish manageable home . No bigger than prob 1,500 square feet . On 5 acres in the woods, in the mountains. My biggest splurge would be my outdoor living area. I would have a nice pool and a jacuzzi . An awesome deck. Beautiful flowers . I would also splurge on landscapers and pool maintenance. I would still drive my Toyota Sienna I have now . I don’t like the newer models . They are starting to look like spaceships . I would prob take off in the winter months for somewhere warm and tropical . And on that trip I would just relax. No shopping or fancy restaurants. I would prob have a tummy tuck and a boob lift . Not gonna lie about that lol . But I wouldn’t change much . That’s for damn sure . The less I have material wise, the happier I am . And I would stick to that
Yes, keep your Toyota , why because Toyota holds there Value . They are good vehicles.
I have a Toyota and it has 300K miles , just keep up with the Upkeep on it .
Have to agree newer models aren't pretty in style ,etc . Have to agree with you ( look like spaceships ).
Becareful on the changing of the body . Make sure you become Debt Free, Save money for your older age because it's going to take more $$$$$$ to live longer . Invest "some" of your money .
Sounds like you have a GOOD PLAN . Just remember Uncle Sam looking for his money each year.
That big old house they lived in before; you call that poor? Please!
Winning a Lottery would solve several of our problems that's for sure.
Thanks again for the upload’s!!!😃
Muchas felicidades a todos los ganadores de las diferentes loterías un cordial saludo para todos ustedes aquí en este espectacular programa ATT. FREDDY ESCOBAR
Lovely families, glad they both won. 🏆 👏👏🍀
Thank you so much for uploading these!
They gonna go broke all this spending what’s gonna up keep this lifestyle
Do you have any proof? 100 mil in cash is impossible to go broke
3 KILLION DOLLAR HOME HAS BIG TAXES.,PLUS LAWNCARE,,MAINTENANCE,,,,,,,ETC.,,PLUS A CHEF..........
I love to see like the Farmers win.
What a wonderful family. She did a great job with the interiors but would love to help pulling her style together 😃 💋
With the farmer that won $1M looks like the only thing his wife got was to no longer have to slop the hogs. Did she get anything out of this other than a new kitchen to work in while he's driving his convertible?
You can tell this was in early 2000s based on the furniture
the tax is baffling
That personal chef is getting some action from someone in that house 😊
😂😂
WELL THE 39 YR OLD CHICK SEEMS TO BE THERE ALOT L OL
*lol@ you are funny* 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Gratitude is an attitude it seems they have mastered. Nice people.
Sad first one didn’t help out the goldfish in their pond. Says something about them.
YES THEY BROUGHT THE FISH TO THE NEW HOUSE.
This was a great interview. Ghost you are also doing a great job with the positive messages you are sending to these individuals.
I know the universe and god is blessing me to win the lottery jackpot and Carla and me can get married and have a happy and joyful family life.🙏
❤hope they have made some good INVESTMENTS.
They have made some good investments:
a huge house with two pools, with all new lavish furniture, expense cars for everyone, a new restaurant, remodeling their original home, private chefs, personal trainer, 2nd wedding (cost?), that's just in the first year.
I wouldn’t call that investments. Investments pay you back. How long will the money last?
the Morrisons seem like a great family. I love how close they all are, and besides splurging on the house (which they can afford), they seem like they are just a normal family. Enjoy!
I would of fixed the old 🏠 & sold it not let it rot i wonder how they are now
They said they were fixing the house to give to their eldest daughter
I wish they had more shows like this. I think I've seen all done so far and I'm catching up on the lottery dream home. It's enjoying to see the people's adventures.
Good for you I love a happy story. Now I know I have a dream coming my way. Love love th😅s story.❤❤
Please give that bird some friends or something
Being by itself like that hurts even me
God bless you for wanting helping the homeless.
When i won it changed my life. I didn’t have to sale my time with my kids anymore. I got to really live.
If I win the lottery no one will know. Period
That's because you're smart!
Agree with the commenter. Very wise!
In a lot of states you have to disclose who you are at an award ceremony.
WHAT A BLESSING. HAPPY FOR THEM !!!! GOD BLESS !!!
I am praying to win the lottery to do good in the world. Dear God and Guardian angels: my mother and my father are both sick and dying. Please protect my family. I would love to win the lottery to help kids with cancer. Please pray for me. Your prayers as a collective would help. ❤
Morrison ‘s families deserve this winning .
That’s right , why would she have to pay back for the money that she never took?
Damm country city .smh
One day it'll be me and my family. I just gotta start buying the lottery. Lol that precious daughter that told her mom to buy the lottery, she is their life saver, their greatest blessing.
I'm glad a family in need desperately won. God bless! ❤
Thank you God for blessing these beautiful people 🙏🏿🙏🏿
I love the farm couple they spent it wisely
Going from 165 to only 82 million when I was flat broke is a problem I’d be thrilled to have to deal with.
John really blessed my heart with his business minded modesty
Wow wow they deserve it.
I think they are very good people and the girls
Wow beautiful home 🏠 im in Canada and i think about how expensive it would be here just to heat it in the winter loll cleaning well i guess they have someone to do it for them. So as cutting the grass and the maintenance... Etc... Thats a lot of money. I know they have 75 million but its not and endless pot of money. I hope they will continue living like this for the rest of their lives. They deserve it. ❤
WITH 6 KIDS THEY ARE GONNA BLOW THRU THAT MONEY FAST.
When you flaunt your money, people dislike you…
Why can't people just embrace they're win, instead of spending ridiculous amounts of money, on ridiculous pointless items, that are just for show!...They were blessed with this win, right when it was needed...After the worry of almost losing, what they worked hard for, one would think, the threat, would have made them humble enough to look seriously at how not to go down that road again!...I'm just saying...Great for them both and their daughter's...I just know, spend to get a float, then spend because you can, then buy that nice moderate home to fit all, the expensive, but practical vehicles, a practical vehicle and modest home for each child, then make that money, make you more money!...It's not rocket science!
It looks like they barely put a dent in that 75 million to me...
Yup until the money runs out they acting like celebrities
won 165 million got 75 wtf
Would u seriously complain? 75 million better than nothin to me.
@@tiffanyclark7442I agree with you. Also I believe embracing small victories is as important as the big ones as well. Enjoying the little things make the big things that much better.
Taxes got a big chunk of the prize!
April 17, 2024: Congratulations! Wishing your family all the best. P.S. The large picture of cherubs....my Mom's favorite too. Love, KATE
The Chef got my approval!!!!
I would buy a modern size house. Because I am single. I would start a landscaping business that does not rob people for their money and give them the best job for their money. And I would help family members a few friends. That helped me when I was homeless and I would do my donations that I have always wanted to do
