Armor Chomper is somewhat misunderstood now that I think about it. Armor Chomper is a mostly defensive-style Chomper with the ability to kill enemies in fewer bites and stick an enemy in place.
EXACTLY! People complain that they can't flank and shit but my brother in christ, you are an immovable object. Armor chomper with a sunflower can pretty much defend the point on his own, at least in the first game.
I dont think armor is even comparable to chompers like toxic to the point that I think he's one of the better chompers in upper bracket for sure. People dont know what they're saying when they say he's the worst character.
As an Armor Chomper main I agree
“zombies can unload whole clips and youll be fine” *reg soldier doing 10 headshot damage and can deal 200 hp in 20 shots with a 35 clip*

@@xray8012 its kinda hard to miss a lot of ur shots and besides its rare youll see a full hp armor chomper. hes an easy target since hes ofc close ranged and slow. and if u do miss most of ur shots just rocket jump away and reload or zpg

As someone who has mastered armor chomper and uses the damage upgrade on armor chomper I can confirm that destroying imps has never been easier.

You can destoy imps as any chomper so it's not really that special

Armour chomper was my 4th chomper mastered right after the main characters he strongly requires to play the character correctly be stealthy IT WORKS
I embraced the oddball nature of the armor chomper. Sprint burrow, spiky, spikeweed, and chomp Cannon make for a monster in defense.
When playing this chomper, remember that swallowing opponents isn't the key, biting them is. All you need to do is use bro to get close.
Alternatively, you can combo with the champ Cannon. Either open with it and then bite for a quicker takedown, or vice versa.
I Find him most useful in gardens and graveyards Because all the zombies will have to come to you.
That paleontologist might’ve been running the health upgrade (trust me, it’s super useful on characters with 100 health as it makes moves that do damage in increments of 50, which there a lot of, and thus you’ll die in an extra hit due to the fact those moves are often slow firing)
Yea that's how it's supposed to be used, people shit on it when it can be really usefull

0:28 simple man. Both Toxic and Chomp has an exploit that allows them to get a higher dps than usual, just by smashing the attack button (the exact same reason as to why Roadie Z is so busted). Meanwhile Armor doesn't. Chomp Thing also has the regen ability, so if you (somehow) win a fight, you will be ready for the next one.
Also he is probably the easiest Chomper to snipe against.

The only case that these 2 are actually better are in speed.(and only 1 character is slower then armor chomper)
Well chomp thing can recover from fights faster than any other character in the game and toxic chomper compared to other spray chomper's is outclassed I would say due to a reason or two

I feel like people misuse Armour Chomper alot, she's more of a ambusher than a rush down and murder type of chomper, you need to take people by surprise to actually make it good because of how slow it is.

Finally respect for my favorite character
Played armor as my main in GW1 and he SHREDS in defense since he can tank and act as a blockade for some paths. The burrow is also broken as you can get close and boom, half their hp in 2-3 bites. Loved that thing and never understood why I saw him much less in later GW games
I like the Armored Chomper a lot in Garden Ops, as he is insane to just be a walking tank against bosses and hordes of zombies, most notably all 3 of the Gargs where he can just sit there, tank all their smashes and keep biting away at their health. Baron and Zen Sensei aren't hard either, and Disco is very easy (though the spin move can be scary as this chomper since its hard to get away). It only sucks against the Yeti but...the Yeti's a chomper killer (unless you're the Yeti Chomper, perfectly named might I add lol), just leave him to your teammates.
I feel like it is very underrated partly from that and also just...not easy to use, but I like the playstyle of being able to just sit there and tank attacks so hard.

I know a guy who knows a guy who knows a guy who master and mains armor chompor
Another one of my mains, hes more fun than effective at times, and speed ghosting helps with that. it just requires a whole different playstyle that you learn over time, which is probably why its hated. if you want to play into that playstyle more you can use damage and double health upgrade, usually your biting so the digestion upgrades are usually not needed. with speed ghosting you dont always need the speed upgrade, and even without speed ghosting you can play more like an assassin, and taking advantage of gamemodes like gnome bomb, where you can tell where the general flow of the fight is and is going to be at, and suburbanation, because the spawns are determined by the points captured and you can tell when a plant/zombie is on a point while its being captured along with how many of them.

The reason people hate him is because most chomper players forget you can bite while playing chomper. They forget you are the stealth AND the melee plant

armour chomper is currently my only chomper variant (unless you count normal) and I like him
When playing Armor Chomper, In the wise words of Anakin Skywalker, "If you can't cross their lines let their lines cross you." - you have to play to his strengths by using his healthpool to sponge damage for basic melee kills instead of rushing in via flank routes. Plus his swallow isn't as much of a death knell if you're caught out of position during the digestion since Armor Chomper can potentially live to tell the tale, since both HP upgrades gives Armor Chomper a combined 235 health; enough to even survive All-Star's Imp Punt-Future Dummy combo.

@@johnbiff2664 I think Chomp Cannon isn't really that bad on some Chompers, but biter Chompers def need Goop or Super Goop instead for the utility. I like Chomp Cannon because it opens up a decent ranged option.
@@Left4Sharkbait It's always far and away worse than goop on any chomper, goop is just so universally strong and central to anything you do as well as how you can support other people. It's also just drastically more consistent when you only gotta splash it and there's no windup.
Also don't use sticky goop, just has more cooldown, does less damage, and doesn't restrict turning as much (if on console) so it's a pretty bad alternative

Speed is what makes a chomper a chomper, they are flanking plants, not necessarily a tank like iron citron and speed let's chompers flank easily
i personally dont care for armor chomper, but like jade cactus, if you get the speed upgrade, hes not that bad
