For the second time in three weeks, Dallas and New York face-off in the NFC East. With Lawrence Taylor at less than full strength due to a pulled hamstring, the youthful Cowboys are hopeful of pulling the upset.

Giants played Dallas twice in three games. Then immediately played the redskins twice in three games. Starting the next week. Crazy scheduling back then. Some times teams not in the same division would play twice.
Play @41:14 tackle by #77 DE Eric Dorsey and #58 OLB Carl Banks, holding their ground well, fighting off blocks, getting to the running back.
Play @27:11, #73 DE John Washington, held His ground well. Shades of what was to come vs the Bears later in the playoffs in the divisional game on that goal line stand.

Not a surprise. The Cowboys stunk that year, and the Giants were headed for a date with destiny.
@@classicgalactica5879 Right, because two years later the Cowboys would go on to win back to back Super Bowl's and play in four straight NFC Championship Games in addition to winning another Super Bowl in 95.
@@classicgalactica5879 they were 1-15 the year before. The Cowboys did go 7-9, but they were 7-7 until the last two games that they fell apart in. This is when the Walker trade was paying dividends and getting the right people paid off. In 1991, they went 11-5 and won a wildcard game. Then the Cowboys got future starters like Kevin Smith, Darren Woodson, and Jimmy Smith who later be good for the Jaguars in the draft.. Then the Cowboys got Charles Haley that was the final piece of the puzzle. The Giants just declined after that Super Bowl until the 1993 season. 8-8 in 1991 and then 6-10 in 1992 with Ray Handley as the head coach. The Cowboys were just not good enough to compete in the NFC East until the next year going 11-5.
