Eminem's mom, Debbie, has Munchausen disorder so she was always giving Marshall medicine/pills and making him believe he was sick. Eminem has plenty of songs about his mother or songs where he references mother, and I'd recommend them all, but for the next eminem song you should listen to Leaving Heaven. It addresses his father directly which is something Eminem doesn't do.
If you listen to “The Apple” Em even said that she made up a fictional lil sister he had that fell out the window but obviously she made that up too…VERY FUCKED UP!🙇🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️💯

I wish the music video didn’t cut it out. I feel like the video is so important to watch because it gives the song that much more meaning.

EMINEM is one of my favorite rappers, artists, people in the world, so I love these reactions. Nate Ruess is the lead singer for “Fun” it’s an amazing band I definitely think you should react to. :)
It's also important to point out that during those first years (1999-about 2004) he was so hateful towards his mom. So after he almost died of an overdose and came back in 2009 and then this song in 2013 it was very emotionally, for his fans also that had been with him since the beginning. The music video is great and you should watch it, it was directed by Spike Jones for heavens sake. :D Great reaction.

I’d love to see you react to “going through changes” he talks about the drug addiction and the overdose that almost killed him after Proof, his best friend, was shot and killed. It’s a really beautiful, heartbreaking song.
The fact that he willingly adopt a child of his ex-wife twins who died on Drug abused , and also willingly took his ex-wife's child from another guy as his own ... Giving those children his last name .... 😭😭😭😭😭
Nate Reuss is one of the best songwriters around. He's the frontman for Fun. and The Format, and has a solo album from a few years ago. He's also a brilliant lyricist. You should add him to your spreadsheet. You'd love his work. He wrote his part years ago, then Eminem wrote his part when a producer brought him Nate's song.

I relate to this song so much it hurts to hear it. A few months ago I sent my mother this song because it explained so much more that I could. The next day shut was calling my adult children saying we reconciled and I told her I loved her.. which just showed me she didn't actually listen at all. I can't have such toxic in my life. I suffered for 30+ years before I realized I love her, but I have to AWAY from her

the part before he says he will love her from afar he said the plane is crashing and in case he is NOT dreaming and the plane is really crashing (and he dies) he will love her from the afterlife and that he hopes she will get this last message **i think**

Rewatching this, glad you did the audio version. The video doesn't have that last part from Nate and it upsets me when people don't hear that beautiful part of the song

No actually Nate wrote Headlights and some how Eminem got invovled and they made this You can watch the Interview with Nate Russ about how this song came to be
Nate and Em done the chorus, nobody writes Em's verses, he writes for others. Em said that he considered Nate for this track as it was a recommendation from Pink who has collabed with him.
My whole life I've had moments where I just cry for my mom and than something causes me to think no you don't really want her she didn't even take care of you or love you like you loved her but that was the bad guys mental magic keeping me from my mom still. I cry for my mom because I lost her as a child and people have lied to me my whole life.

It's cool to see someone discover Eminem. I didn't realize he could be so deep until I started watching reaction videos during quarantine. Now I'm definitely a fan. You should check out Toy Soldiers, The Way I Am, White America and Darkness. Especially Darkness. It took my breath away when I figured out what the song was about. BTW, loving your reactions!
