Can we just appreciate the fact that he’s one of those UA-camd that doesn’t use crazy ass music in the background and doesn’t waste time with starting the video 😌
I just did these stretches in my room at 1am after spending the whole day in bed from being depressed. This really helped relieve the soreness in my body, and despite being very weak your videos are the kind of gentle encouragement that doesn’t make me feel bad for being so, and to maybe try to keep going. Just wanted to say thank you. :)
Eriko, start doing Wim Hof breathing method, you'll get better 🙏🏼 plus you can start to take cold showers slowly. There's a youtuber that talk about the benefits as he did for 30 days and liked so much he continued to do it :) wish you get healthy asap 🙌🏼🌸🙌🏼
Let's go, start working out! :) 3 things: 1.fix your posture first, there's nothing more important for aesthetics. I got muscle but look like nate diaz, gotta work on that. 2.If I had to chose one exercise, pull ups. So go buy a pull up bar and/or gymnastic rings as soon as possible. Also, look into Ido Portal and 'hanging'. 3. Do (Hill-) Sprints, if you can't bounce on your feet like a boxer yet, do two minutes of jumping jacks a day, that's it. You increase your testosterone, get conditioned, leg mass(especially with hill sprints).
If you only do these three things, you can basically do any sport there is. And you'll be more Aesthetic, masculine(V-Shape, grip strenght, testosterone) , feel better jada jada. Don't hesitate to ask anything
No joke, I was waking up with back pain everyday. Thought it was my bed or just what happens when you get old. Started doing these stretches (couldn't even do the bridge in the beginning) and within a few weeks my my mornings were pain free. Thank you so much Hampton!
Similar story here, but happened a few years ago and my muse was Wii fit. Seized back until twisted roots, cobra pose and sun salutation saved my life! Stretching is so important!

I had sciatica about a year and a half ago when I was only 19. I had to wait like 6 months to feel fully healed. I recently ran across a video of yours that described how the back bridge helps strengthen your back and started working towards that hold. I had to do the easier variations first but my back has never felt better and I even noticed my hips unlocking. I've never experienced anything like it so I just wanted to say thank you and God bless!
Funny enough, I had it when I was 17, but never recovered my flexibility of fitness because I wasn't into fitness. I'm 24 now and am trying to learn what I wished I new earlier. So far, this guy has been an amazing help by making everything approachable.
I've had sciatica since 1993... was bad when I first got it- the Navy had me taking 800mg ibuprofen like candy for about a year. Told me I would need surgery but no way was I letting a Navy doc experiment on my back. My mother-in-law gave me some foul smelling unguent but it smelled so bad I didn't use it until one day the pain was just unbearable so I slathered on the foul stuff... within a couple days the pain was gone... I don't know if it was just gone because of coincidence and it was ready to be gone or if that stuff helped or what but I felt so much better. It still flares up sometimes but I have learned, for me, it usually comes with weight gain- gain weight, strain back- here comes the sciatica. I have also found that when I keep my core stronger I experience it less because I am less likely to hurt my back.
I’m gonna be honest Hampton, I don’t follow your routines. Although, most of your stuff is part of the routines I do follow so I’m just splitting hairs. While I've typically succeeded with exercise regimens, I've always struggled with stretching, because I have sensory processing problems that make it very overwhelming and painful. However, you cultivate the soothing, yet encouraging vibe that I needed. Now, for the first time, I am able to tolerate stretching. Thank you, friend. ❤️

I suffer from physical disabilities and chronic pain but really need to get into better health the best I can. Greetings from Australia. One of my friends recommended me your channel back when i still had registration as an exercise physiologist. Seven years later, I am now working in a different occupation in the Hospital, and I just love your videos! I am deconditioned and looking forward to reconditioning my body so that I can feel more energy and be as healthy as I can for my family! Thank you so much (to you and your team) for the great work you do! You are amazing and you seem to really enjoy exercise and what you do!
You make me want to work out. My motivation for getting in shape has been reborn. With these videos I think I'll finally be able to get in shape. I've been trying since high school and I always end up getting lazy. However, I feel like this time it's a little different. This time around I'm working out using calisthenics. I've always relied on weights and equipment. I already feel my body's weak points and I can now hone in and turn these gennin muscles into the kage they were born to be. Thank you for your friendly delivery of these geodes full of beautiful fitness advice. Everytime I crack one open I end up sweating on the floor. Keep being awesome Hampton.
I have had physical therapists tell me that i need to start stretching after having knee problems causing me to become even more stiff than I already was. I never really could get into it but watching you makes it seem fun. You are such an inspiration and I love what youre doing
I'm literally too fat to do some of these stretches lol. Trying to get back in shape after a nasty injury a while back. Got a long way to go. You and Scott Adkins have inspired me to take exercise seriously again, other than just my pt.
Hey, that's fine! Maybe start with some basic exercises and once you loose enough to be able to do these, you can try some easier stretches.(it's okay if you still can't, just know that it's a slow and long process. Just keep going) and Trust me you're gonna get stronger as you keep going 😉
Hey my dude! It's great that you've made a channel instead. It's alot easier to follow your content and I'll be watching this video daily from here on out now that I'm here! Great to have you aboard. Part of the Ship!
I stopped working out when the pandemic started because I stopped going to my gym (in the fear of catching covid). But I came across your video last month and started watching lots of them. Your content is so wholesome that it inspired me to start working out again at home. Dang, I didn't know I really missed getting my muscles sore after each session. Thank you so much!
As someone who stretches alot, I really enjoyed this video. It was very comprehensive, consice and shows alternatives for less flexible people. But not to mention, your calming voice and beautiful face keeping us all calm.
This is my favorite kind of format for your videos because it feels like going to a class or exercising with a friend, I can pause it, and repeat it also if necessary, also they are great to add to a morning or evening routine. Wish you can do more of these!

Hampton, you son of a gun, your positivity is spreading into me! It's making me stretch and work out again, learning to work on myself. I literally found you by random just a few days ago. Love your videos, they spread such good energy! Thank you, Hampton!
Hi Hampton Love your attitude Bridge- I recommend to activate the shoulders and the triceps more intensely to farther deepen the posture (so palms almost beneath the shoulders) Also it's advised that the elbows will point in a straight line that will form right angle with the top of the met (indicate a balanced activation of the Rotator cuffs and the latts that pull the head of the humerus to the shoulder socket) proper alignment as such will assist in staying in ingery free Keep up the good work and congrats on the new met
Learning how to breathe while in a bridge /hanging from a bar/holding a L-Sit(doesn't matter if butt is on the ground) makes a huge difference in athletic performance. Also if you do Grappling sports it'll help you breathe
Genuinely love these videos. Gives a really relaxed and approachable view towards exercise. I never feel intimidated or like I can't achieve what he's doing. Just light-hearted good old fun!
Yes, I love the bar hanging one the most. Not many people think of doing this when thinking about stretching. I only learned about this when I started practicing aerial circus. This stretch is sooo good for the body as everything is straightened, and tensions will be released. I feel much better every time I do this. My coach also recommended a knee hang (upside down) so you can stretch your neck as well (if can do safely tho :D ) . Thanks a lot for making these awesome, informative and super helpful videos!
Thank you so much man. That difficult cross legged twist really helped me after COVID even 2 months after recovering. This really made me feel alive and appreciate my improved sense of smell after it improved my breathing
I have chronic pain so I needed good simple stretches, especially because I’m starting to work out too. I’ll use this stretching routine, thanks! Your positive attitude and good information are awesome and I feel like this journey of working out will reduce my chronic pain, and the most beginner routine only is twice a week which is perfect for my conditions since I can work hard on non pain days I am just not guaranteed like 5 migraine free days a week :( . Point is, great video, sorry for ramble, this is my favorite channel and positing comment to boost your algorithm to support your content

I was crying a moment ago because of my shoulder and back stiffness and how it was making so much sound while moving and I was afraid because I am only 19 but doing these exercises actually helped a lot ..now they are not making that much sound and i am feeling improvement in my stiffness 🌟🌟
had some awful lower back pain that made me stiff for a long while, and these stretches really helped with loosening that area quickly! usually it would take me 30 mins to feel at least normal but I don't always have that much time. thank you so much!
Thanks a lot for this, I was having really bad lower back pain yesterday so i decided to take a break on my normal exercise and did this instead. Today the pain is completely gone and I did way better in my exercises today!
Thank you for all of your positive content. I’ve recently found your videos and decided to try some of the beginning suggestions this last week. I had stopped much of my activity and stretching unintentionally. It just sort of happened over the last two years. I am diabetic and my A1C has been creeping up. Just a few days of the beginning exercises you suggested has made a huge difference. It’s been so easy to already see that I am getting significant benefit. I also took a look at your Tai Chi videos and am excited to try. You make it all look so easy and attainable. THANK YOU!
No matter how i feel, i can always get myself on the mat to start with a stretch at the least on hard days....the benefits of stretching usually makes me feel motivated to exercise afterward. incredible lazy hack!
I'm one of those people that stretches for at least an hour a day, but I'm making it ten minutes longer because this is very different from what I'm used to. Really nice!
After starting with weightlifting a while back I quickly gained strength but I stopped making progress because of a shoulder impingement. Doing hangs and some other stretch and recovery work was enough to fully give me back my strength and mobility in the shoulder. Any day that I do not do my hangs for a few minutes at least I know that I am one day closer to injury. Plus hangs help with strength in the lower arms and hands.
The bridge is so cool. I'll never can do that ☺️ And I appreciate very much, that you're including the breathe routine during the exercises 👍 Thanks for sharing.
I like your vibe, the humour and the natural way to express yourself. Calm and fluid, that's enjoyable so much. Thank you bro from another country. Send some love !
I only recently discovered your videos and I just love your work! Your messages are on-point, even for those of us over 50. You are wiser than your age. :). Thank you!
I couldn't do the bridge 2 days ago when I first saw this video, I've been doing the other stretches and now I can actually lift and hold the bridge for like a fraction of a second, where before, my head wouldn't even come off the ground, that's really motivated me😭, thanks man
Hampton, thanks so much for posting these videos! Fitness is something I've struggled with a lot. Growing up I quit everything I started. Now as an adult I want to be excellent and commit to things worthy of my time. Thank you for helping me in my fitness goals! :)
I have a lot of difficulty doing gym or physical activity in the daily life.... it has been like this since I finished high school... there is no longer a teacher who forces me to play sports... it's been a few weeks since I came across your videos and saw the Exercises on your website, at first I thought it looked too easy.. and I just tried.. It's been a bit of a pain, but it means it works, It seems to be just the muscle, normal pain..... It's been two weeks since I kept the routine.. Anyway.. Thanks for making it easy... helped me a lot
like your content, business model, and the way you think. At my age. 66, I have combined some of your excersises with some physical therapy exercises and do get asked how I stay healthy at my age. takes about20 min for my stretching
Each stretch (besides hang) is 3 holds of 5 deep breaths bridge/upward dog each side twist holds each side twist holds with leg in each side twist holds with leg in and hold hands thru the space between legs (try to be upright) downward dog keeps heels on ground, back straight, push arms out-compensate by bending knees bar hang 60 secs
I have been suffering from lower back pain periodically for years, the cross leg and twist variations gave me almost instantaneous relief. It's a shame I can't just plop down on the office floor and do that stretch when my back starts up at work.

Also it's advised that the elbows will point in a straight line that will form right angle with the top of the met (indicate a balanced activation of the Rotator cuffs and the latts that pull the head of the humerus to the shoulder socket) proper alignment as such will assist in staying in ingery free
Keep up the good work and congrats on the new met
“I’m not a yoga instructor at all” he said in a very yoga-structory way. You’re doing great work!
Hampton is a whole mood 🤩 It makes me excited to do what he says we must do. This is the kind of fun, positive instructors that work for me.
I'm very stiff and lack mobility in my posterior chain, I'm going to try this for a month maybe. Thanks for the short great info. 🙏
Hows it goin so far
Your voice is really calming you should totally do a sleepy time video
Thank you so much man. That difficult cross legged twist really helped me after COVID even 2 months after recovering. This really made me feel alive and appreciate my improved sense of smell after it improved my breathing
I want to know your secret behind that healthy hair of yours

I have chronic pain so I needed good simple stretches, especially because I’m starting to work out too. I’ll use this stretching routine, thanks! Your positive attitude and good information are awesome and I feel like this journey of working out will reduce my chronic pain, and the most beginner routine only is twice a week which is perfect for my conditions since I can work hard on non pain days I am just not guaranteed like 5 migraine free days a week :( . Point is, great video, sorry for ramble, this is my favorite channel and positing comment to boost your algorithm to support your content
Update, 1 week later I'm able to hang from bar 40 seconds no problem after struggling with 15. This routine op af
Huge. Thanks for sharing the results! I feel better about committing to this routine now. :)
Doing 12 "Surya Namaskar" in the morning does wonders, speaking from experience as it was mandatory in school here in India, perfect warm-up and stretching yoga.
Downward-facing dog is my favorite stretch to do the day after deadlifts. It just opens everything up and gets ahead of the stiffness.
I love how he's just stretching in JEANS as if it's the most natural thing😂😂😂
Those are good special stretch jeans he mentioned in one of his videos
Go home swabian
I've been using a large exercise ball to get into the bridge. I hope to one day bend all the way back.
I'm so glad I found your channel
A guy who does exercise with jeans, he can be trusted 😂🥰
THANK YOU!
Great starting routine - I had done yoga for 50+ years but became limited after a bike -car accident. Your progressions are great for injuries!
There's something that I feel good about this guy's video...
Men just watching you, make me relax and feel good.
No matter how i feel, i can always get myself on the mat to start with a stretch at the least on hard days....the benefits of stretching usually makes me feel motivated to exercise afterward. incredible lazy hack!
Your content is "simply" the best I have seen so far. Thank you 👍
Thank you, im into calisthenics now.
I'll never can do that ☺️
And I appreciate very much, that you're including the breathe routine during the exercises 👍
Thanks for sharing.
:). Thank you!
I was just thinking about how I need to stretch more then you upload this 🙏
Ik this guys a werewolf. He’s definitely hiding being a werewolf every time I watch his video
And what made you think of that?
And why?

I couldn't do the bridge 2 days ago when I first saw this video, I've been doing the other stretches and now I can actually lift and hold the bridge for like a fraction of a second, where before, my head wouldn't even come off the ground, that's really motivated me😭, thanks man
Ty for a no bullshit approach to instruction and fitness. Really appreciate it
I have seen for the first time a person doing bridge wearing jeans 😳 I love your videos they are to the point and logical 🙏🏻
Hi from Brazil
Just discovered Hampton a few weeks ago and recently subbed, will be here for the new vids that come. Loving the content and hope you keep it up
This is the best workout I’ve had in months. Not overly intense but still challenging me. Thanks so much man!!
4:56 Dammit, Hampton, you cracked me up and I untangled myself, laughing

like your content, business model, and the way you think. At my age. 66, I have combined some of your excersises with some physical therapy exercises and do get asked how I stay healthy at my age. takes about20 min for my stretching
This is very informative and at the same time enjoyable to watch unlike other workout channels out there. :/
Thanks for the upward facing dog option. I can do a bridge but I have vertigo so I prefer to not move in ways that could trigger vertigo. Thank you.
I'm happy to help you discuss and decide on gear. I have G.A.S. (gear acquisition syndrome), I've definitely researched the space a lot.
Each stretch (besides hang) is 3 holds of 5 deep breaths
bridge/upward dog
each side twist holds
each side twist holds with leg in
each side twist holds with leg in and hold hands thru the space between legs (try to be upright)
downward dog keeps heels on ground, back straight, push arms out-compensate by bending knees
bar hang 60 secs
I love the honesty “you don’t have to swing I’m just doing that for fun” lol
I have been suffering from lower back pain periodically for years, the cross leg and twist variations gave me almost instantaneous relief.
It's a shame I can't just plop down on the office floor and do that stretch when my back starts up at work.
Wow! These stretches are exactly what I've been looking for.
I absolutely relate to the jeans bit. Stretchy jeans are amazing
I recommend not giving up! I love watching your stuff!
