- I am Ian from www.iantaylortrekking.com I am here to help you on your journey to Mera and Island Peaks. I have climbed Everest to the top, Island Peak 20+ times and Mera Peak 7+ times.
If you are heading to Climb Mera or Island peak or both peaks, here is the equipment I would bring when I am climbing Mera and Island peaks. This is not a one size fits all. Everyone is different and you may need warmer boots, more layers, warmer down jacket, better gloves etc.

Hi. Thank you for the video. I am going for my basic mountaineering course this August and will be planning for Mara and island peak soon. My hands and my feet gets very cold above 4500m . Can u suggest me a good pair of socks and gloves or the models/links of the one you have shown here. Thank you again
