Thanks Gordon. As a single dad I am learning and practicing your teachings with my kids. We are eating better and bonding over your teachings. Thanks man!
I used to think he was a loud mouth show off but I've been watching many of his kitchen disasters and how he fixes the problems. I have questions about how he accomplishes so much in 5 days but he gets things done- the right way. I get a kick out of some of the restaurant owners/chefs/cooks who say Gordon doesn't know what he's talking about. With restaurants in 4 countries and multiple shows on tv (cooking competitions, the hotel and kitchen disasters series)he certainly knows what he's talking about. I really do admire him and have learned alot to use in my own home kitchen. Thanks, Gordon
Me too. I always thought he was too good for anyone and throwing his weight around, just because he could. But now after binge watching his shows....what an incredible Chef/person he is. What an amazing experience it must be to have the privilege to have Chef Ramsay cook for you. Best in the world.
I think he yells because it brings in more viewers and many of those people who are supposed to be professionals really should now better. Notice that he is very quiet and underatanding when he is working with kids or total amateurs.
0:10 - "This is a soft herb, so treat it with some respect. Like people go mad chopping herbs, all the goodness comes out on the board, I want the goodness left inside the basil". Imagine Christopher Walken saying those exact lines.
Most of the time people know Gorden for his harsh and direct personality lol, but yeah he is actually quite nice and sweet when nobody is acting like an idiot sandwich
He doesn't look like he has to take a piss, he looks excited. He really loves his art. Whenever I get into a boxing match, I jump around like a madman too because it's what I love and cherish.
So true. Ive been telling people that for years. When gordon is jumping around like that means he is very excited and passionate. And most of the time he films these videos early in the morning before his wife is awake. That just goes to show you how healthy he is, with so much energy in the morning. Gordon works his ass off. And he is very hands on with all of his restaurants. Unlike most chefs that are on tv.
If anyone is wondering why Gordon's nails and cuticles look damaged, it's because they are. Being a chef myself the only way to learn is by repeat, repeat, repeat, repeat! and unfortunately you do cut yourself a lot at the start. I've cut through my middle nail at least 10 times. I've even cut the tip of my for finger off lol. but now ive trained for almost 10 years and no longer cut myself (as offen) Takes time and years of pure dedication to be a quality chef. Anyone who says Gordon isn't a quality chef is clearly jealous or blind.

JoeytheJoeyX3 exactly! He's a dick to chefs who are supposed to be industry professionals. People who are learning? He legitimately wants them to be good at it.
To be fair, being featured on Kitchen Nightmares was almost always a death knell for the restaurant, even when it greatly improved. No one wanted to go to a place that had been shamed on TV, so they all went out of business after being on the show.
Hmm I think I have an idea. It might be that the explanations for complicated and/or difficult techniques are always explained simply. He uses lots of verbs like, chop, roll, practice that motion, all at once, giving the message, “do, do, do.” He’s an expert so not only is the audio short, fast, and simple, but the visuals are too. He has masterful technique in everything which makes it take very little time to do some challenging things. If it looks and sounds easy than you’re more motivated to try it but I’ve tried and since I have no cooking skills it’s hard AF

"You can always identify when you've bruised the herbs when you've removed the herbs off the board and there's a big green patch...." [lifts chopped coriander out of a big green patch on board] "...Mmm, full of flavor and none of the goodness is left on the chopping board."
Actually you haven't. There might be different ways to do it, but what he does is complex and wasteful. Cut the pepper in half from top to bottom, take out the seeds by hand and start cutting the two half sides of the bell pepper as you want to. Is what i do, leaves no waste behind just the seeds and is easy to cut too.
@@honestly1451 And for any seeds left instead of picking them out individually give em a quick rinse and the seeds are gone. Not the big clump just the stuff left after ripping that out.
Proper cutting is what I'm teaching my 5 yr old daughter atm, she's wanting to cut things more in the kitchen and we practice with a rigged child's butter knife. I'm hoping by the time we're up to knifes she at least have the skill down and we have no accidents.

It's all in the wrist Action! I remember my teacher speaking about RSI (repetitive strain injury) and all of us (16 at the time) absolutely lost our shit and couldn't stop laughing haha. he was raging!
This man is just precision 👌
this must mean that my mom is an amazing cook since she does all this
2:38 where does Gordon get such juicy lemons. I get a whole lemon and barely get a teaspoon while he cuts parts of a lemon and gets a cup 😂
Put a little pressure and roll your lemons on the countertop before you rinse and cut them. It releases all the juice from the pulp.
Well. Thank You Recommended. Here I am watching this in 2019 and reading all those comments from 3 years ago.
He is an inspiration to do more of cooking!
Can't believe he rolled the bazzle.

Your literally my favorite cook EVER!! My dream is to go to one of your restaurants!!!!
Me: *dose lemon trick realizes I have a cut*...AHHHHHHHHHHHH
I think the spice from the peppers should have already burned your cut😂
Animal Love dose, nice spelling
Good PR move for Ramsey to show a masterful, yet softer side of his dominance on the culinary arts skills
omg i should have watched this 15 years ago. i would have been a masterchef by now with those tricks
after watching this, I'm ready for HELL'S KITCHEN....Wish me luck.
did you get kicked out yet?

:) I learn from the best..To insult me is like insulting Ramsey himself...Next season hasn't started yet. Tryouts are in 3 weeks..I'm preparing.

Thought he was going to pull out a lighter and smoke that basil
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Chef, allow me to take the liberty to say how 'effin' good you are. Pure genius!
Chef GORDON is the type of guy that in his childhood his parents had to hide the olive oil instead of the cookies
"You can always identify when you've bruised the herbs when you've removed the herbs off the board and there's a big green patch...."
[lifts chopped coriander out of a big green patch on board]
"...Mmm, full of flavor and none of the goodness is left on the chopping board."
More videos, please!

I love learning from Mr. Ramsay when he isn't yelling or cussing someone out. Great videos.
Never forget: It's all in the wrist-action!
I've been cutting bell peppers like a complete idiot my whole life lol
Accidents are likely to happen to everyone at some point, but you're doing a great thing by getting her used to the techniques early.
Valerie Wood Good job!!! Keep teaching your daughter how to cook...so that by the time she gets between 8 - and - 13 - years of age, she can try to compete against other talented young Home Cooks in "MasterChef Junior".
Cool. I wish my mother had been like that.
I love hearing Gordo talking about herbs and "Bazil" lol
The Brit accent is pretty cool
