    Questo manufatto (arca, arcone o archetta) è composto da:
    - quattro piedi (peti);
    - una cassa, il vero contenitore, sostenuta dai piedi;
    - un coperchio, bombato e ruotante per mezzo di una cerniera in legno,
    che copre la cassa.
    Il materiale utilizzato per realizzare questo manufatto era il legno. A Pereto
    si utilizzava il faggio (fau), essendo un tipo di albero facilmente disponibile,
    vista l’estensione boschiva di questa pianta nel territorio del paese. La pecu liarità di questo manufatto è: mediante piccoli elementi di legno, le tavolette
    (taulette), si ottiene un contenitore voluminoso e robusto.
    Ogni manufatto aveva una sua dimensione, funzionalità o uso in base all’esi genza della famiglia. L’arca era utilizzata per riporre piccole quantità di
    grano, se la famiglia ne produceva poco.

    Mir gefällt, dass du, wie bei dem Stuhl vor kurzem, dass Möbel wieder in einen gebrauchsfähigen Zustand bringst, trotzdem aber das Alter und die Alterungsspuren sichtbar lässt. Das gibt dem Objekt erst Charakter und Einzigartigkeit. Das macht für mich den Unterschied zwischen Restaurierung und Renovierung aus. Eine Freude, das Video und das Ergebnis zu sehen. Danke.👍👍👍👍👍

      Danke fürs Zuschauen. Manchmal wäre es sogar noch einfacher, sie wieder ganz neu zu machen. Für mich muss das Artefakt eine Geschichte erzählen, zum Nachdenken anregen ... Wer weiß, wie das passiert ist Nochmals Grüße aus Sardinien

    First of all I want to say that I love your work, I love watching old furniture being brought back to life. Second, I didn't know that you were ITALIAN till I heard you speak. I am 4th generation Italian - American, and I live in Memphis, Tennessee. I went to Italy back in 1980 for a month and loved every second of that time. My family is from the area around Alessandra in the Piedmont district. I have always wanted to go back for a visit but never had the opportunity. I hope that you keep up your great work and I will keep following you on UA-cam !!!🇺🇸🇮🇹🇺🇸🇮🇹🇺🇸🇮🇹🇺🇸🇮🇹🇺🇸🇮🇹

      What I used is a stucco with fibers inside, it is a little more resistant than the plaster one, but it changes very little. I applied the stucco, waited a bit for it to dry and then wetted it with the water-based dye that I had left over from before and removed it with a rag.

      Hi Giuseppe, thanks for watching the video. In my opinion there were no longer any woodworms in this box. The holes were all empty and without powder. Generally when there is a live woodworm eating the wood we notice it because the dust comes out of the holes, which would be the woodworm's poop😅. I haven't seen any of this here. However, heat treatment kills both large woodworms and those still in larva.

    • @IlMakerstauratore
      @IlMakerstauratore  18 днів тому +1

      Hi thanks for watching. The liquid used is the water-based dye that I had left over. Even though I had given it a finish before grouting, I noticed that the filler left streaks of color on the wood. Then I dissolved the stucco with the brush and water to make the stucco colorant adhere even where there were no woodworm holes. If I hadn't done this I would have found a piece of furniture like a Dalmatian dog, and I would have had to re-sand everything
