For image quality, Sigma is better. But Sony lens has OSS that help you to shoot video & take still image in the situation that required low speed shutter. If your camera has IBIS, Sigma is better choice.
its all down to budget. sigma obviously has much better bokeh, but sony does great photos as well, for half of price. who has money buys the sigma, who is on low budget can buy sony.
