One thing that KSI said in the Fournier fight was that he couldn't get into a rhythm. The reason for this is because Fournier was interrupting his rhythm, Fournier was just too old and therefore too slow to do anything of note. However, we saw him change tactics in response to KSI, Tommy Fury's ring IQ will be higher than Fournier and due to his age be able able respond properly. This will be an issue with KSI's game plan in which he hopes his wild style will overwhelm Tommy.
This is kinda false. KSI’s rhythm was interrupted because Fournier decided NOT to establish the jab, and instead pivot to KSI’s left hand, therefore making the overhand harder to throw as Joe could just roll the punch.
Then in the second round, Joe upped his volume and intercepted KSI’s jabs with jabs of his own, which was uncomfortable for KSI, as he’s gone from a boring affair, to a fight… eventually, he read joes footwork (jab, feint, 1 step backwards, two steps forward, feint) and then threw an overhand right which landed.
It’s fun to see people calling KSI’s style ‘wild’ which I agree it is… but it’s calculated. Some of you UA-cam kids who don’t watch boxing (I’m not specifically referring to you) tend to take fighters statements as literal without analysing.
I also don’t believe Tommy has a higher IQ than Joe. I believe Tommy is the better natural boxer and has youthful energy in his side, however… he’s still a novice and makes A LOAD of mistakes. He’s open for the overhand right, left hook, he’s relied on his clinch his entire career and he is terrible on the ropes. That being said, I believe he’s better than all of these youtubers.

Tommy has been training for almost 15 years and a lot of that with his World Champion brother. Joe never even fought under a sanctioning body. He was banned and fought under his own because he had the money. He didn’t pick up boxing till he was like , what? 30? And before the KSI fight, it had been yeeeeeaaars since his last fight. You try to sound like you know what you’re talking about but your the typical UA-cam boxing fan. KSI’s “style” isn’t calculated, it’s sloppy, there’s a reason why he landed an elbow on Joe and not an actual punch. He’s sloppy. His wild “style” only looks calculated against the weak opponents he has faced. You put him up against someone like tommy, he folds. I think we can both agree that Jake is the better boxer of the two & tommy showed exactly what happens when you put a youtuber leaning boxing, in front of an actual boxer. Turns out, Jake didn’t really have power. He has enough to KO 40 year olds but not a young & healthy boxer. It’s going to be the same thing with KSI. Then with his lack of defense, which you can’t say that he has defense because he quite literally doesn’t. (He somewhat said it himself when he said he’s all about “taking one to give one” all because he believes he has the power to do that.) the way KSI leaves himself open after every punch, stays on the center line, bum rushes with his chin up, he will get floored, if not by Tommy, by someone with power. If tommy doesn’t KO him, tommy will most definitely keep KSI at bay with his simple, long but quick jab and out box him.

People keep talking about how KSI and Jake are still improving boxers and could eventually beat Tommy… Tommy is also an improving boxer… lol it’s not like Tommy is just going to stay exactly the same and wait for everyone else to get better around him.

Would love to see you do a breakdown on Kenny vs Gib. If they fight, it'll be one of the most dynamic fights in Influencer Boxing history. Gib's not going to be unathletic, uncoordinated, stiff and upright like MyMateNate was against Kenny, nor will he just stand there and allow Kenny to run his offense like Whindersson did. On the other hand, Kenny's not going to be as flat-footed and stuck in his guard like Taylor Holder and Jarvis were against Gib, nor is he as undisciplined as Austin McBroom is. It's a great fight that absolutely needs to happen
I love Gib but I gotta go with Kenny. This fight absolutely needs to happen like you said. Gib's footwork is a bit stiff but his cardio is top notch and he knows how to put punches together. Kenny has an absurd reach which may interrupt Gib's boxing. Gib can win, Faze Sensei has showed Kenny can be countered with overhand rights but I'd favor Kenny

I think one thing that isn't a complex boxing move but is very rare to see in the influencer scene is Rolling with the punches and Tommy Fury is actually quite good at that. This will be the first time KSI faces that so yes KSI might land that perfect shot he wants to, however is it going to effect Tommy or is he just going to eat it lime he did to Jakes.

I dont think ksi has the ability to land shots on tommy, he telegraphs and tunnel visions and has no defense. Hes gonna blitz head first into jabs and heavy combinations all night. If ksi survives 6 rounds thats a win for him in my books

That won’t work, he’ll get jabbed every time. Tommys jab is insanely accurate and fast, ksi has to work on inside clinching because that’s what Tommy is gonna do

I think Tommy wins a very ugly decision. I think the awkward style from ksi will definitely make things hard for him, but I also think Tommy’s experience and timing will kick in the later rounds
Yeah agree. I want KSI to win, but Tommy Fury is likely to win this match. We've seen how Fury adapted to Jake throughout the rounds and grew more comfortable. That's just pure experience and JJ does not have that experience.
Whilst jumping around KSI will catch hands, get exhausted then get pressured by tommy with combinations, at which point either a knockout or stoppage due to KSI not defending himself round 3 or 4 i imagine

Ksi needs to implement combinations on the inside especially against Tommy, he can’t just rely on throwing power shots with no follow ups praying for a Hail Mary.
Jake's style let Tommy use skill to win, so I'm interested in seeing if KSI can really prevent Tommy from landing combos. KSI can land a big punch that's how he fights, but Tommy wants to throw a dozen punches which leads to him throwing few power shots. Honestly KSI's style will do really well here. Considering KSI's fight with Joe was his first time fighting like that he'll have time to improve it.

Keep in mind in the training for Jake Paul vs Tommy Fury, Tommy broke one of his hands and rested that hand for most of training to mend it. Tommy's main focuses from the Jake fight will also be defence and punch power, this could therefore end embarrassingly for KSI. As he's fighting a better Tommy than Jake, due to general improvements, but possibly a non injured Tommy as well.

0:15 I don’t appreciate how you think KSI is fighting the same Tommy Fury that fought Jake Paul cause i know for a fact that those opposing KSI saw won’t be available anymore cause i am sure that Tommy and his team looked through that fight footage to patch up those holes KSI saw.
I believe this fight isn’t a one sided affair. Amongst boxing watchers and us who attend boxing gyms… the majority are aware that Tommy belongs in influencer boxing, because he’ll never be a British, continental, European or world champ. Hence why his fight against Jake was closer than someone with his hype should’ve had it.
I’ve noticed Tommy is susceptible to the overhand right, although he tries to pivot to roll the punch, he always gets clipped. You can see this from even as early as the Krajevskij, Grant and Taylor fights. He’s also open to the left hook… and for me these are bread and butter punches for KSI and I believe KSI can unload on Tommy and possibly even put him out.
HOWEVER, the skill gap between Tommy and the influencers is there. Tommy can simply just jab and clinch all night… it could be an easy night.

I think Tommy's strengths are perfect at beating Ksi because Tommy has great timing and a great jab to stifle ksi's fast movement earl on. Tommy is also way more experienced in the clinch while ksi has basically never had to fight someone experienced in the clinch. Yeah logan clinched a lot but it wasn't effective clinching, it was just clinching to take a break in my opinion Tommy on the other hand is very slick even in the clinch and lands good shots and sometimes even uses tactics to make it seem like he's not the one holding in the clinch when he really is.
I think Tommy's gameplan in this fight should be to use the first three rounds as time to think and see what ksi does because he is unorthodox. Once tommy has the blueprint, he can start getting more active in the last few rounds and be more aggressive while in the earlier rounds, he can stick to the jab and clinching ksi and outbox him
Edit: Also, I am pretty sure ksi's main tactic is overwhelming Tommy with the power and landing the over hand right but we saw in the jake paul fight the exact same over hand right that ksi loves to throw was not able to land effectively a single time. The only punch that hurt tommy were the check hooks from jake and the jabs and I believe ksi has nowhere near as much technique or precision or even power with his hooks and jabs. Ksi will probably expect tommy to not be able to take his shots but once Tommy takes the shots and dodged ksi's over hand, there isn't much left for ksi's gameplan for him to beat tommy in my opinion and at that point it's a much easier win than the jake fight

I think the key was exploited to beat tommy in the jake fight, jake caught tommy off guard hands down like u said, not a traditional guard, ksis jumping around and then rush in might work in that regard, and if it isnt just a jab like jake threw and its a hook tommy will be rocked.
A problem for tommy may lie in the fact that its 6 rounds, for a boxer its hard to win a fight in fewer rounds as if u get knocked down u cant really gain many rounds back if u already lost one or two. Thats why tommy wanted 8, but chose to make KSI come up in weight, which gives him more power and less rounds to hold that power. Everything for me says KSI can definately get the W

Why are people in the comments acting like this fight is a complete mismatch? Tommy got a split decision against jake paul. Tommy won but it was a competitive fight, look at tommys face after it, full of plasters and cuts.
Im not saying ksi is better than jake paul but its different styles. Jake tried to play tommy at his own game by trying to box him and he had some success. Just a little breakdown of a fundamental aspect of JJ's style and why Tommy will win because of it:
Traditional Boxers usually stay right on the cusp of their opponent's range and take small steps to get in range to land their punches. Because of how small of a distance a fighter has to travel to hit their opponent, it makes it harder for the opponent to time their attack and counter them. JJ's "karate" style ditches this concept and instead he relies on being WAYYY outside of his opponent's range. Because of the large amount of distance he travels to land his punches, Joe was able to time him and land clean hits. If old, slow Joe Fournier is able to easily time JJ with jabs and right-hands in the 2nd round of their fight, then a fast-twitch Tommy Fury will easily jab JJ's head off by throwing stiff jabs as JJ lunges into range.
I still struggle to understand how JJ's delusional fans think his karate style will do him any good against Tommy Fury, let alone any decent professional Boxer.
