  • Review from '"Electronoobs"'-Homemade PCBs with ComMarker B4 Fiber Laser - 0.1mm Clearance
The video from our Collaborative UA-camr -'Electronoobs'.
The original video: • Homemade PCBs with Fib...
Amazing quality PCBs using a fiber laser CNC machine and get down to 0.1mm tracks or clearance. Also, add soldermask and smd pads.

One thing to be aware of with this type of technique. Carbonizing the board causes it to become mildly conductive.

Wow. That would be a dream such machine in my desk. 7-8min to make a double layer pcb instead of 40min on a CNC. If it was cheaper I definitely buy one. Here in Brazil we pay twice the price because of import taxes. One day I buy one of this machine. It is still a dream, but not to far 😂. If comMarker give one I make this same review in Portuguese. 😊

Please show the production of a circuit board with through-hole plating, thank you. This is normally a chemical process

when you go to he website there is several different models from UV co2 mopa and fiber the one you are using is Unknown to me and power rating unknown.
also have you tryed using pre sensitized FR4 board in a 455nm laser for the people that dont have 2000usd to drop on a laser
thank you for the great video other wise

For that, it's better to use the etch method. I don't know it it has enough power to cut the copper. To use the etch method you apply a mask, then use the laser to cut the mask and then drop it in an etching solution. Everywhere the laser cut the mask, the copper will dissolve. After that is done you have to remove the mask. It's a slightly harder process but I have seen it done with a diode laser in this manner. The fiber laser dissolve the copper easily so you don't need to etch the copper in this manner. I hope that helps.

@@newmonengineering this is why i mentioned using sensitized boards for more content and very low cost and is very easy to do with even exposure to the sun or florecent lamp teh laser is very good at this even at 5 watts i use this method.

Are you able to make the SMD stencil using the same machine?

What is the power of the B4 you used? Not sure the 20 watt model is powerful enough.

He use B4 20W in the review. But as you know big power, fast speed. Time is also money. So if your budget is enough, pls consider powerful one.😊
