This sign is made from MDF, Hand cut on the band saw. Painted with latex Paint. We used Tap-con Cement screw to screw into the red brick wall (Wall Painted White) The large print out i use as template is printed at FedEx Kinkos for $ 15.

As much as I love your complex videos, its nice to see a simple clean build like this. I watched it twice just to see the G being cut out again.

Okay, so about a week ago I was watching some videos on homesteading and your hatchet video kept coming up. I watched it and was torn betwesn two views. i thought "who is this joker who paints his name on everything, has an action figure and does unsafe things?". On the other hand, every video in general and that video in particular is a 15 minute masterclass. I don't create for a living, but I have learned on a basic level how to do every craft aside from working with fabric and architecture. I am telling you that I was blown away. Free-form machining using a bandsaw? Who the hell does that? Anyhow, I've now watched half your channel and almost all of your shows. Having actually watched them closely, I only have 1 safety issue left and it is on a machine that I'm not familiar with. I think that if an honest appraisal of what the actual risks are, your methods are as safe or safer. You are absolutely the real deal. I wanted to go into your line of work - I really did. But I spent my 20s in college and went into the medical field. In any case I cannot express how much I appreciate your ingenuity, your experience, your love of teaching and your warmth as a human being. I am motivated to create again - just got my forge working the other day. If you want some info on building gas forges, let me know - just dont put it in your NYC shop without some serious ventilation.

Still makes the same amount of sawdust but also means less bin emptying!

What would be the cost to have a CNC shop cut these? They would be dead-on accurate, no cut-ins through letters, and just need minor clean up on the inside angles. Maybe not as lovingly crafted as most of your projects, but could certainly save you some time.
