You're missing one 18th trick: Destroy ennemies things Loki's totem, Peni Arachno mines and "mine-creator", Moon Knight anks, Namors turret... All these things can and must be destroy to simplify the game for your team Ps: there's also do not go out immediatly by the front door and if you can, use one of the other doors
it is a very good idea to learn multiple characters of each roll but in reality don't bother learning duelist. you'll never get to play duelist if you are the one willing to flex.
Im a support main, tank secondary. Namor is my dps (if ever) as hes the easiest to play/learn. Just gotta learn turret placement and play defensively, just as a support would anyway
BONUS TIPS from a sup player 1) At this point in time, Luna and Mantis (Cloak&Dagger to an extent) have ridiculously powerful defensive ults. They can heal people through entire ults like; Punisher, Psylock, Star Lord, Spider-Man, just to name a few. HOWEVER, they can not defend against nukes like Iron Man and Scarlet Witch, Even Hawkeye can kill her mid ult. 2) Option 2 is to pay attention to when they ult, and see if you can bait them into burning it when they dont need to. Example: Thor has a weak ultimate when compared to Star Lord. His ult fairly slow and VERY stunnable, but if he positions right, he can secure kills. Use this ult right on top of a Luna or Mantis with their team (hopefully without their stuns), and they will likely pop their ult to keep their team alive. When that ends, they will be open to a more dangerous Ult like Star Lords. 3) If you dont have a Luna or Mantis, Magneto's ult pulls in ALL projectiles, this includes Star Lord, Punisher, and Iron Man ultimates. 4) to counter this as a support, uh land your stuns lol and always be placed to either run away and get cover quickly. If you can stun a Thor instead of burning ultimate then that's a win. Cloak can also briefly make him and his team invisible and invulnerable to nukes with his secondary fire. However his team needs to not shoot while this is happening or they will exit the ability and DIE. 5) Rocket, Venom, Spidey can run on walls, make sure to set it to run in the direction of the cursor and not always up. 6) A lot of characters have animation cancels, like Doc strange melee inbetween shooting. Magik has one as well with her primary and her "melee" . And so does Adam Warlock, holding his primary while repeatedly using his secondary can cause a constant stream of attacks. However note, Adam's primary is hitscan while his secondary is not and has travel time. 7) always be wary of Doc strange Portal, the moment you hear the sound que, be ready for a suprise attack from an unexpected angle or room. Maybe even a scarlet/iron man nuke or Punisher ult from the sky.
Main rule for new players (to Marvel Rivals or hero shooters in general) regarding the different heroes; don't be intimidated. You want to play them, but not sure you'll totally vibe with what they're putting down? Go for it. If you hate them? Mentally scratch out their name and try someone else. Worried about not playing well as you're learning the ropes? As long as you're not trying out a brand new character in ranked, what does it matter if you suck? Everybody sucks to begin with, you only get better with practice. Play everyone, find your favourites, learn their intricacies.
Much like Overwatch upon its release (and well into its life cycle), I've frequently experienced every misstep this video admonishes made by other players: The trickling in, the ones who think they can win a 1v6, and perhaps the most common: NO ONE WANTING TO PLAY SUPPORT. I've numerous games where I'm the sole support character, but with heroes like Cloak and Dagger, such a situation is tolerable.
For the "seasonal bonus" that's not a thing. Those icons show that a team up can be activated with that character, and those buffs are ONLY activated if the team up is activated. For example, Venom HAS to have Peni or Spider man on the team for that buff to activate
As much as I enjoyed this and hope you make more for individual heroes.....I'd REALLY like you to make another Helldivers video on fighting Illuminate and how the newer War Bonds stack up. WINK WINK.
To clarify, I believe the seasonal buffs are specifically for when you are using that character in a team up. One character gets the team up special ability, the other the seasonal buff
@gacrazy65 that might be a bug, i saw a video comparing iron fist and spider-man's seasonal buffs and it seems to work how the op said. then again, THAT might be the bug
@@dankerbell Another reason to nuke the system from orbit. Seasonal buffs like this are going the make the game less fun and more diifcult to balance, they don't need to add poor implementation.
the seasonal bonus isn't seasonal I think, it's a team-up bonus for the anchor, the other part of the team-up gives your other related characters a special ability (or you) which benefits them in battle.
how generous to hand out a free skin! Also, on a more serious note : these are very usefull tips. Some are well known, but some are new, thanks for that!
I started off by at least learning one character in each role. Moon Knight, Venom, and Mantis. Then I started learning Bucky, Spider-Man, Magneto, and Peni Parker. Genuinely love learning how to play each character I’ve tried so far
Happy to see other Destiny creators I enjoy doing something else besides Destiny. I thought we were all going to leave after we killed the witness since at the start of the journey bungie said it was gonna be a 10 year journey. They delivered and we loved it. Time to keep it moving.
Tbh they have the difficulty ratings wrong for some characters, like they rate Psylocke as one of the hardest characters, but tbh I learned her kit in my first match, while having a hard time with Venom
fr, from what i've seen most people don't read that he gets more bonus health with symbiote resilience the lower his health gets, while psylocke is definitely not harder to use than someone like cap or spidey, although i forgor what their difficulty rating is
@@SavvyMon4 Whatever the dude's happy with honestly. Can't blame him for steering away from uploading nothing but D2 given the state of things right now.
Oh man I missed this dudes voice...😢 haven't heard it since TFS cause cade telling me I was always his favorite was such a good ending I can't bring myself to log back in. And so I naturally fell of the d2 youtube side of things. Plssssss do more rivals content
Another tip: Prioritize objectives. The game is not designed to win by doing many kills. Many players don't stand within the objective/convoy square which is very frustrating.
You don’t need to do that especially on payload maps if you take control of the payload it moves on its own, increasing speed with people on it up to 4. With it moving twice as fast with just one person on it but it’s not really worth stacking more people on the cart for the speed especially with all the team-wipe ults in the game. It’s way better to have one person with range like Hella or Hawkeye on cart with the rest of the team pushing up and taking space looking for picks to stagger the enemy team.
been playing a bit myself black widow is fun so is cloak & dagger especially when i use a dark teleportation to counter alts like my favorite shark jeff 🤭
Number 1 tip - Don't play ranked, a lot of people are still running around in ranks they dont deserve to be in, either they are way better or way worse. Gotta say that coming from league, starting in bronze 3 is really dumb, there should be some sort of placement games
no its a seasonal buff, it even says so in the menu, its just listed really weirdly. people have tested it with and without the needed character for the teamup and it still applies
Disagree about easy swing on venom. With his play style often needing you to quickly swing to escape needing to make sure you look for an anchor point first could lead to death.
@@maurooldani4036 I second this. Being able to control your swing leads to better escapes after practice and also quicker releases imo. Meaning bombarding enemies can become quicker while being more efficiently placed and also allowing you to dodge more bullets when escaping because you didn’t hook on to some random place that forced you to stay in the air longer being an easy target.
this is basically tip 14 where my teammate used doctor strange's ult to stun the enemies right as i used maximum pulse to delete 3 of them, it's so satisfying to do stuff like that

Some are just outright overtuned like Iron Fist and Hela. And some kits play like absolute garbage. It’s hilarious to think that a hero shooter could have worse balance at launch than Overwatch, but here we are. - Maps. There are only about 3 maps per game mode, and they almost always have terrible flow. They’re either hilariously open or filled with so many choke points. This is made worse by the abundance of flying characters. - Controller support is a shallow ocean. Not good when trying to cater yourself to casuals. So many options but no matter what you change, many characters feel terrible. This leads to extremely cheesy team comps and an influx of blatant Xims and Chronus users. - Sound design. It’s flat out terrible. Voice work is great, VAs are solid. But that gets destroyed when you can’t tell you’re taking damage - and the setting for it is burried so deep it’s crazy. - Hit Boxes - theyre shifted to the player’s left. I want to love this game but right now it’s a huge mixed bag. They need to make some changes over the next month or so if they want to keep the good will going - in my opinion. So 6/10…
To play really well, if you see everyone lock in damage characters, join in. All damage teams are really great! If the whole team thinks they don’t need healers or tanks, who are you to disagree! (I wish people would play more than just Duelists, as a Vanguard main)
"stop playing just dps" mfs when you tell them that there's double the amount of dps in the game than the other two and they all have far more interesting kits than the tanks. i mean i love playing doctor strange but nothing comes close to the satisfaction of using bucky's kit well or melting through teams with moon knight ricochets. you just stand there and get shot for your team and maybe your healer will consider making you immortal because healing is overtuned, maybe they won't.
@dankerbell you clearly are the person who just goes dps. Healing in the game is incredibly fun. Try cloak mantis Luna and Jeff. I constantly top kills as groot and penny parker. You have 0 idea of what you are talking about and obviously don’t know how to play either role.

I played Squirrel Girl
Im a support main, tank secondary. Namor is my dps (if ever) as hes the easiest to play/learn. Just gotta learn turret placement and play defensively, just as a support would anyway
