    I'm currently modifying a j4r with some new springs and high lift cams. Would love to see these videos with English subtitles. Thank you and keep up the good work.

    Hi, thank you for sharing so much information.
    I have a Xu7Jp4 project and i have a doubt.
    what is the best option, changing only the cams for the xu10 or changin the cams and also the cylinder head?

    • @CitroenXantia

      Hi...
      The variant I liked best is the one with the RS inlet camshaft and J4R outlet camshaft. You can leave the rest as it is........The cylinder head of the XU7JP4 is identical to that of the XU7JR.....So it can do quite a lot. What Au in any case still achieves a good result is the conversion of the large throttle valve......The camshafts in connection with the throttle valve make a huge difference.......try it out......oh yeah ......you don't need the exhaust manifold from the RS....it destroys performance

    Hi. How much more power on stock xu7 engine with xu10 camshaft you gain?
    I have ported and polished cylinder head. But gains are not huge think i will benefit more with xu10 cams?

    • @CitroenXantia
      @CitroenXantia  2 роки тому +2

      Hello .... the effect is clearly noticeable with the inlet camshaft of the XU10J4R and the camshaft is relatively cheap on the market. I think that the XU7JP4 will then have about 120-130 PS because we must not forget that the performance of the XU7JP4 is reduced and the engine in the series already has more than 110PS (112-118)

    evtl. ist das eine optische Täuschung dank der Kameraposition, aber im Video sieht es fast so aus als wären die Räder der RS Nockenwellen kleiner als die der beiden anderen, ist dem so, oder täuscht das wirklich nur? Weil demnach müsste ja auch die RS Kurbelwelle ein anderes Rad dran haben, was ich mir kaum vorstellen kann.
    zum Sprichwort "Gleichbaunockenwelle" hiesse das, dass man eigentlich die Einlass und die Auslassnockenwellen vertauschen könnte ohne einen wirklichen Unterscheid zu haben, oder gibt es da unterscheide bei den Befestigungen der Nockenwellenräder?

    • @CitroenXantia
      @CitroenXantia  3 роки тому

      Moin,
      Also die Nockenwellen- Räder sind in Größe und anzahl der Zähne identisch....das liegt an der Perspektive. Gleichbau im Sinne von das Hub und Gradzahlen identisch sind....man sollte sie trotzdem nicht vertauschen und sich an den Zahlen auf der Platte orientieren....gegebenenfalls kann man die platten untereinander tauchen jedoch sollte dann geprüft werden ob die Absteckpunkte noch passen ( absteckpunkte im Verhältnis zum Stand der Ventile). Davon rate ich aber ab....also am besten so einbauen wie es vorgesehen ist! Das adaptieren des alten Systems auf die RS Nockenwellen funktioniert auch nur da sie sich verstellen lassen.....Einlass passt in jedem Fall sprich Platte mit der Prägung 1 .......und zu dem rest gibt es dann ein Video zwecks Einmessen in OT und adaptieren der Platten...:-)

    Hi! First of all,awesome videos!! My question is,would the Xu10j4r simple valve springs able to handle both intake and exhaust cams from the Xu10j4rs? And what if i raise a little bit the rev limit to 7000rpm? Oem xu10j4r is about 6500rpm. Thanks from Spain,love your stuff!

    • @CitroenXantia
      @CitroenXantia  2 місяці тому

      If you don't increase the speed it's fine. I think 500 more revolutions won't be a problem. But you can hear it even when the funding can no longer manage it
