I'm beginning to think that 99% of horror games on the internet look like they're made for the Playstation 1. For some reason, horror game devs are obsessed with the PS1 look.

Fishing on a dreary day is actually a pro strat. The fish won't expect it. Also, while you may be miserable, so are they. This increases your chances.

its a good look for horror imo.
Because its great for horror, the muddied textures obfuscate things so your lizard brain has to fill in the. Blanks which is always scarier
The sad thing is the PS1 never looked this good. There's none of the jittery stretchy textures or draw distance-obscuring fog that it's known for.

Lake Ophelia was better imo, just deeply misunderstood by Tomato
some things were better, but that ending was dogshit. Especially when it bugs out like my ending did.
