  • Brunel was engineer to the South Wales Mineral Railway [1857-63] that chiefly brought coal from the collieries in the upper River Afan Valley down to Briton Ferry Docks that Brunel also engineered. This video was recorded at Incline top on the Ynys Y Maerdy Incline on eastern edge of Briton Ferry.

    Thanks for sharing such interesting informational stories about Brunel's work, which we would otherwise have no idea. It looks a beautiful woods to ramble in.
