Hi, I had similar experience last week.same day of arrival my passport and my Sweden RP card was stolen along with my wife and son passport and RP. I did a FIR, called Sweden embassy, they have sent one page of decision letter of visa, send a mail to indian embassy italy and got a call back to come and collect a letter to prove my identity. So with all doc I was able to travel back within EU. Basically they checked FIR copy having all the passport and visa number in that....other documents are good to have. But in case you have similar situation.you can try with FIR if not able to get other docs.
Wow what a harrowing experience it must have been for you, and especially for your parents, who both looked emotionally and physically exhausted! Ashamed to see such disgraceful attitude of Indian embassy in Italy. Glad to know the situation was finally resolved! But especially commendable is your calm persona through this all. It was so sweet to see your father adapting to the problem and still singing which is such a positive inspiration to all of us. Thanks for sharing!
Hi Krish, The way you handled the situation along with family is really appreciating. This video will be a learning experience for others. Thanks and God bless.
Yeah, it was really a tough week for all of us. The presence of my parents helped me to be strong. Thanks a lot for your comment and good wishes! God bless! 🍀
Thanks for uploading the video/experience. I have also gone through the same phase in Kuala Lumpur,Malaysia. We have lost (stolen) all 7 (seven) pasport of my family members.. We have luckily got helf from our embassy and of Malaysia embassy, received the EC and returned to India in sechuled time. Thanks to the embassy staff. They know that a racket is going on for storing , particular PASSPORT. I understand your problem and remembering our experience. I will definitely share the video, for awareness among others. Please Keep your PASPORT in tact. It's my masage to all travellers.
isn't this the worst? bro i feel extremely bad for you, the way you were treated by your own people in the embassy in a foreign country. Makes you question the work of foreign affairs and the attitude of government employees who are there to work and not enjoy a holiday in a foreign country. It makes sense why people move abroad eventually, I have never seen a US /Euro citizen facing such petty issues. This is purely due to sheer incompetence and lack work ethics of the government employees. Polish embassy wanted to help you, but not the indian.
Hello, this was worst, unfortunate and never expected. I think not all the staff was same. But yeah we had a lot of inconvenience. On other hand, when I visited Polish Embassy, the environment was calm and they were treating people with all the respect they deserve. On a lighter note, this is not the only reason people surrender their nationalities, there are several other reasons and personal preferences. Appreciate your comment and genuine concern.
You share this experience with ministry of foreign affair & you must expose name all employees of Indian embassy in Rome so other Indian tourists not face this type of experience.

Thank you so much my friend. It was a bit tough to shoot the video about the things happening. But I really wanted to give an overview to people to be more careful and positive if by any chance they face such situation. I hope all good your side. Wishing you good luck! 🍀
Even narrating such an incident calmly as you have done, is not easy. Kudos to you and your parents for eventually coming out successful with your efforts.
Oh my God...what a situation you all must be....thank God, the ordeal is over. I appreciate your way of taking things forward and handling that situation...it is very helpful. Thank you
It’s extremely disheartening to hear about this incident that happened with you, but I am extremely impressed how you handled this situation. God bless you and your family.
Stealing is very common in Italy. First time we were alert so nothing happened but next time we were traveling from one place to another of Italy . We parked the car on roadside parking with all our baggages as we were traveling thru Italy to France. We had lunch and when we reached the car , which was rental , the window glass was broken open and the bag kept behind driver seat was stolen, which had at least 10,000$ stuff with 3 American passports. We called the policeman passing by but he didn’t stop and finally we were sent to the police station where they seemed to be very used to such situations and very casually said that to do the formalities and go. Next day we reached Milan , American embassy , where within 1hr n half we got our temporary passports. This is the beauty of being American citizens. No documents were required except the tickets and visa which were on phone .Had we lost our Indian passports it would have been a big catastrophe. An advice to all traveling to Europe , please keep money and passports close to your body . T
Italy and France are the two most unsafe places for tourist . Their are hundreds of pretty women on pawl looking for unsuspecting travellers . Also one has to be extremely careful in bus as their are high chances you might loose your entire luggage . Its unfortunate what happened to you but the situation is really bad out there .
I completely agree with you. What I heard from local people that there are some group of couples who pretend like they are tourists, but they are actually not. I would highly recommend to everyone who travel to these places that always leave your important things in your hotel and even if you have to carry something with you, then split the things amongst your cotravelers/family members.
Bhai aapko salute hai hamara ki aise situations me bhi aapne video banaya. Apka shakal dekhkar saaf saaf pata chalta hai ki ap kitne udas aur hopeless hogaye ho par fir bhi baate kar rahe ho. So Salute hai sahaab bhai🫡🫶
You had been quite patient & looked composed despite the impending crisis. You took it to the end, which shows your mettle & courage. Keep travelling with your parents in the future.
I've not come across an optimistic man such as you. After having lost that document from his own custody you still think the hotel room would have been a safer place.@@maaki3389

Thanks a lot. It was really tough to shoot the video for the vlog during that time. Good that my parents were there with me, so I had the emotional support from them.
Very very few indians are concerned about another indian in distress.Such indifferent and callous attitude by indian embassy staff else where have been seen Indian Embassy should be very active and helpful in such cases. Bravo! You deserve all praise.

Undoubtedly, Italy is beautiful but these kind of thefts are becoming very common there these days there. Local authorities have to be more strict to save tourists from all these incidents. As a tourist, we also have to be more careful to avoid such circumstances. I tried my best to put all the efforts to make this video helpful for anyone who face this, also for others to spread the knowledge to deal such cases.
What an awful thing to happen, you have my sympathy. TOP TIP: Never ever carry a passport or other important documents in a bag. Put them in a money belt/body wallet - under your clothing when travelling if you don't have enough suitable pockets.
It's a very difficult time for your family..... now it's a message to all who travelled to other countries... Be safe and be alert of your Bags and all your documents. Thanks to Counselate officer who helped you gat out of it.
My goodness, we don't expect, we could experience something like this, if we lose our passports.. Thanks for sharing your experience..so other travelers be more careful.
I'm truly sorry for your loss and the inconvenience. However, I can't comprehend why people carry their passports when they're on various excursions. No one is going to ask for your passport or where you're from once you've already entered the country. Please remember to always leave your passport in the hotel room safe provided by the hotel. I've visited hundreds of places in Europe and never carried my passport, and no one ever asked for it. I had a close call in Rome, Italy, but luckily, my wife managed to snatch her bag back. I apologize if my comment seems harsh, but I'm genuinely upset. I don't understand why people carry such important documents like passports while visiting places, not while they're traveling between countries.
I really appreciate your comment and concern. I’m not sure why Carried our passports on that day. Usually during travel we always keep them in the hotel room. But unfortunately, as we were in hurry, we completely forgot to take out the passports from the small carry bag after checking in to the hotel. Anyways, it was a lesson learnt kind of thing for us and many others who watch this video.
You are being nice to clerks working in Indian Consulate. They get this posting by buttering bosses and pulling strings. Their objective is - काम ना करो, कम से कम जो कर सके वोह करो। काम ना करनेके लिए गलत बाते बता। As you go up, the officers are selected through competitive exams and they understand rules and laws better, also better mentality then lower level clerks.

Thanks for your comment. The struggle was real. In most of the cases, the authorities advise people to return back to India. This was kind of an uncommon case that I got a chance to be back to Poland. I would thank Indian Embassy to help me to reach Poland.
This is very common in Italy,, France and few other European countries...there are gangs that operate around tourist hotspots...glad that the cops registered your complaint without hassle.
Hello krish, i truly appreciate your equanimity and calmness in such a stressfull situation, i think that eqanimity helps us in taking correct decisions, without getting hyper or tense, bless you ❤

These are Indian educated, it gets 30 years ago. We know 50 years ago, we know 20 years ago. We know you always keep your Passport copy if you're traveling and leave your Passport in a room. When you traveling? And have a one Passport, copy back home with somebody family your own. Education that's occasion having money, it's not. Your smartness is the most important thing to survive in real world anywhere. Good luck
Bhai ye same Saiman says youtuber ke sath hua Rome mein recently colloseium meinhi... Passport, camera, bag 3-4 sec mein apni back palatne mein ho gya... Embassy se temp. White passport mil jaega... Choro ka ilaka hai Rome
My son too lost his bag in train when we were returning back from Salzburg to Munich which had his passport n power bank... we immediately had contacted the officials in the train n after sometime one officer came to us with his bag which was thrown in dustbin outside the railway station, his passport was safe n they had taken away the power bank... That's nothing bcos he had got his passport back.. though we were so careful, still these kind of things happen sometimes...
I was in Rome for 5 nights, traveling in Europe, in July. I always carry my handbag cross the shoulder and in front, handbag, Purse Flipover, so nobody can open and still.anything. leave passport in the Hotel in the Safety locker box. I travel in Europe every year, I carry all documents photocopy.
Flix buses mein drivers ke paas ticket and passport/Visa check karne ki authority hoti hai. Agar travel documents proper nahi hain, to wo bus se utaar sakte hain. Humare case mein bhi aisa hi hua.
@@ContinentalKrish ok ok kya vo applicant ke macimum number of days visa issue country me h ya nhi vo bhi check krte h?? aur agar mere paas German se approved Schengen visa ho to kya me Amsterdam se Brussels ki flix buss me travel kr sakta hu ?
It's not new 😅, I lost mine in 1989 .stayed at Embassy for three days as a guest .Khalili was the ambassador at that time. It's a normal in Rome dear.😊😊
I like the patience and attitude which helped you in the end. It can happen to anyone, i lost in Manila the Philippines 🇵🇭 but I was lucky to get back after 1 hour.
When we have our elders around us, we definitely feel calm and become ready to deal with any tough situation. :) Glad that you got your Passport back in an hour.
Before this incident, I also had the same impression. Carrying your passport along with the RP (or a valid visa) is mandatory to cross the border of any Schengen country.
Hello, I called on the given number for Italy on the insurance document, it was not in use. Then I sent the email to the people I know from the insurance company. They sent me a form which I will need to fill and send back to them. During my discussion with the local Indian customer care, they mentioned that fill the claim form and send, we will see if anything can be claimed. I will keep updated in comments for the processing of insurance, if I will get any support from them in coming days.
Bhai . So sorry for you … we were in Rome for 3 weeks ago.. boss I can imagine for 4 people 7 days in Italy with struggle both mentally and monetary pain .. aaram se 5-6 lacs of INR ja chuka hoga

One main reason could be, they maunhave non refundable tickets from Poland back to India. As it is they are suffering, not only will they lose that ticket they will need to buy new tickets from rome to India. Total monetary loss of at least 2 lakhs. Not very affordable to all.
Hello, surely I will share my experience in coming days about what formalities I had to do in Poland and what kind of additional formalities my parents had to do at the airport in Poland as well as in Delhi.
Nice to hear that you got back to Poland. Indian embassy is good but sometimes they confirm genuine case & then support. Overall Indian embassies across the world have become very cooperative.

Bhagwan apke jitni calmness sabko de
It was an uphill task to get back to Poland. Congratulations to your patience till you got the required documents.
I watched the video and I feel that you struggled quite hard to get the passport, I would have given up and had gone to India in such situation!
Thanks for your comment. The struggle was real.
In most of the cases, the authorities advise people to return back to India. This was kind of an uncommon case that I got a chance to be back to Poland. I would thank Indian Embassy to help me to reach Poland.
Seems you struggled a lot but by the grace of God all things are better now 🙏
Excellent💯 It admirable to see how calmly handling the situation.
Thanks a lot. The presence of parents helped me to deal with such tough time.
@@ContinentalKrish God Bless🙏
Appreciate your efforts in that situation.A lot of people have traveling in that country, face the theft and mafia problems.Careful there.
Even this worst situation you are so calm bro👏👏
I tried to be. When we have our elders around us, we definitely feel calm and become ready to deal with any tough situation. :)
Very good and important information given by you

This is very common in Italy,, France and few other European countries...there are gangs that operate around tourist hotspots...glad that the cops registered your complaint without hassle.
Hello krish, i truly appreciate your equanimity and calmness in such a stressfull situation, i think that eqanimity helps us in taking correct decisions, without getting hyper or tense, bless you ❤

When you traveling? And have a one Passport, copy back home with somebody family your own. Education that's occasion having money, it's not. Your smartness is the most important thing to survive in real world anywhere. Good luck

May I know where's that shop you have filled the form
It was very close to - Chiesa di San Bernardo, P.za S. Bernardo.
Approx 200 meters from the Embassy.
Kaunsa insurance tha Bhai batana hum log bhi sajag rahe
I was in Rome for 5 nights, traveling in Europe, in July. I always carry my handbag cross the shoulder and in front, handbag, Purse Flipover, so nobody can open and still.anything. leave passport in the Hotel in the Safety locker box. I travel in Europe every year, I carry all documents photocopy.
flix buss se kis ne utara? kis ne check kiya aapka passport and visa??
Flix buses mein drivers ke paas ticket and passport/Visa check karne ki authority hoti hai. Agar travel documents proper nahi hain, to wo bus se utaar sakte hain. Humare case mein bhi aisa hi hua.
@@ContinentalKrish ok ok kya vo applicant ke macimum number of days visa issue country me h ya nhi vo bhi check krte h??
aur agar mere paas German se approved Schengen visa ho to kya me Amsterdam se Brussels ki flix buss me travel kr sakta hu ?
it is good for indian embassy that they are helping.. but eventually they helped . thanks to the good officer.
It's good that they helped lately. I am thankful to them.
It's not new 😅, I lost mine in 1989 .stayed at Embassy for three days as a guest .Khalili was the ambassador at that time. It's a normal in Rome dear.😊😊
Thank you so much for your comment. I can imagine about your situation that time.
I like the patience and attitude which helped you in the end.
It can happen to anyone, i lost in Manila the Philippines 🇵🇭 but I was lucky to get back after 1 hour.
When we have our elders around us, we definitely feel calm and become ready to deal with any tough situation. :)
Glad that you got your Passport back in an hour.
Poland and Italy both are Schengen countries. Why do you require to get travel documents ? Can’t you directly travel back to Poland ?
Before this incident, I also had the same impression.
Carrying your passport along with the RP (or a valid visa) is mandatory to cross the border of any Schengen country.
Then what’s the point of the Schengen Agreement? Visa free travel between countries? Makes no sense
Maybe it is only valid for EU passport holders
Very informative videos. Did insurance company paid all expenses after your passport lost??? Please provide more details of insurance cover ???
My question is if you have lost your passport then the first thing should be to get a new one or instead you are insisting to go to Poland, WHY
One main reason could be, they maunhave non refundable tickets from Poland back to India. As it is they are suffering, not only will they lose that ticket they will need to buy new tickets from rome to India. Total monetary loss of at least 2 lakhs. Not very affordable to all.
I am very sorry to see your situation. Take care God Bless you
Ab Poland pahuch gaye ho to uski video bana kar jankari kon dega yaar Krish 😊
Hello, surely I will share my experience in coming days about what formalities I had to do in Poland and what kind of additional formalities my parents had to do at the airport in Poland as well as in Delhi.
In Roma these thefts are very common. In the wishing fountain thieves on motorcycles comes rushing around. They are so skilled and swift.
For similar incidence I recommend an english movie Grand Slam 1967 you will get shock to see the end.
I feel so bad for you
It is so tiresome when you lose something important abroad...
Nice to hear that you got back to Poland. Indian embassy is good but sometimes they confirm genuine case & then support. Overall Indian embassies across the world have become very cooperative.
Yes they are co-operative and helped me to provide the documents to enter Poland, instead of going back to India.
Useless service by the Indian embassy. Just worked like the stereotypical government office
Thanks for making this video. Very informative.
I had to go through this process in USA but it was not this painful. You were calm and patience throughout the process.
Police don't do any thing. At least 20 cases reported every day.
Did your parents have PR too in Poland?
No, they don’t have Poland’s PR.
