I am a maharashtrian. As a tourist myself & my wife visited Tamilnadu & Kerala.During tour we met many other tourists from Maharashtra & North India. They were laughing, criticising Tamil people in the train, eataries for their accent, poor Hindi. This shows our mentality towards other cultures, language people. My relatives in USA,Canada told me that majority first generation nri, tourists behave in the same way in USA,Canada & airoplane.
We are not like you guys always in mouth gutka and tobacco...in India Hyderabad is the most powerful city bro ... don't comment on others until we are perfect...so many uneducated people are their in North ...

My husband and I (we are indians) went to Thailand recently and noticed some Indians behaving in an obnoxious manner towards the locals. I think this behavior might have contributed to a negative perception of Indians in the country. On the other hand, I also observed that Thai people were initially guarded towards me and my husband, but their attitude changed after we treated them kindly.
Having lived in Thailand for 5 years, I can say that you are partially right. Our culture is of saving . Thai people prefer whites who splash money rather than smart spenders like us
Indians are loved in asian countries but too some extent mostly the baby boomers love them. GenZ not much as they prefer white people coming and spending in their country. However millennial generation likes to learn and know more of india and indians.

I don't think our behaviour plays a part. I recently went to Prague and you will not believe what I have seen British people do there in public. Do not for a second believe that this is nothing but racial discrimination.
I am a pilot and I am pretty sure the reason behind this is the 'behaviour' of our people. When we receive complains during a flight from foreign passengers , it is mostly against Indians who were either being loud or just plainly stalking them or disturbing them . Once in Australia I saw an Indian guy clicking pictures of girls in their bikinis and was later caught by the coastal guards. It is very easy to portray all of this in the name of discrimination but I firmly believe that an average Indian is not as civilised and well mannered as compared to others . This is not my inferiority complex , this is what I have witnessed...
How true!, not that I am again our people, but yes, whenever I ve traveled abroad, I saw Indians putting the exact same behavior as they would in local markets, here at home. Some don't know how to converse in English but are very well versed in abusing, it isnt the discrimination always, but its the core habit we possess which is derogatory for other civilized cultures. This has to come from Schools itself, as I don't see people making up on it on their own.
But the same white woke people kiss and do romance in public isn't it weird .....NOTE:- i am not justifying indian people behaviour in abroad. And the same this like clicking photos and shouting loud by a white skin guy doesn't make anything news but if it is indian then they point out.........
This has nothing to do with visa status…. Foreigners come to india for sex tourism….human trafficking is prevalent due to that, still those countries get respect…. As a person who actually reside in Australia I can guarantee that Italian, other Asian countries are equally loud…
As an Indian I have experiences of Indians behaving rudely. It just doesnt fix itself unless 2 or 3 generations pass by. And it all depends on how we behave in front of others. Another significant factor is how well we respect the culture of the country we visit.
I am currently watching a video from Japan and can relate to what was said. The key takeaway is that we should follow rules and be kind to others. It is widely recognized in Japan that Indians are highly skilled in coding.
I may be called racist but what I observed whenever I go abroad is that dark skinned visitors (not all dark skinned but worst behaviour is from dark skinned) from South India are the worst in behaviour. The comments they make and the way they stare at females are most indecent-may be inferiority complex but outwardly pretending to be confident.
@@GhostsOfSparta and low confidence. here he says white privilege, but do you know Indians privilege white over their own people. I have seen in my own eyes in cities like Mumbai. how come he complains about white privilege when majority of indians have the same mentality?
Our actual problem is our own people Most of us need to learn about personal space and manners and this is only possible by education and interaction with others.
The people in USA or other are not that well mannered, just go and see how many problems these countries have. The thing they are just biased and our people blind listen to there nonsense and praise them
@@Akshay-kh3grThat's the point. However, I would like to add that if one goes to schools, such manners and etiquettes come naturally. Education, manners and etiquettes are the three pillars to maintain a sense of calm and composed.
Our bad habits is the main cause of our weak passports. Recently I visited Thailand with a travel agency with some group of people and some old uncles in our group were talking so loudly, breaking lines and even spitting and littering on the streets. It was really shameful for me 😞
Exactly I went to Bangkok earlier this year and I felt the same problem. Many Indians at the airport were shouting and breaking laws and behaving like as if they own the place. We need to change ourselves first and only then we can question the world. I believe school should start giving discipline classes like Japan and other devloped countries.
@mr.malhotraabro I am living in the UK… Nobody said Indians are snake charmers … it is said that we have snake charmers in our country.. that’s it… but in a good way. Don’t take lessons from WhatsApp university
This video has so much bias lol. Wake up. She said Malaysia is not a developed country from any angle which is completely wrong. It is way more developed than India and has a higher per capita income as well. Also Malaysians have a good rep abroad unlike Indians

It's about discipline and etiquettes that most of us lacks. Talking loudly & playing songs on speaker in public places, breaking lines, spitting and throwing garbage everywhere are some of the bad habits we need to change. As a citizen, I request and try to restrict people from doing so whenever it is possible. I think we all should do that. This habits gets naturally carried away when someone go to foreign countries.
I am from Thailand 🇹🇭 Bangkok full support to 🇮🇳 India , we as a indian have a major impact in Thailand tourism industry, and we as Thai realized during covid pandemic. last time I go to Thailand the shopkeepers shout to me 😢I was why u r shouting he said you indian bargain too much dont want to sell his goods to indian.
I’m an Indian student, studying at Cornell. I have a valid US study visa and still I got harassed by TSA. I applied for study visa to Austria because I have to go there for research and it’s such a pain (I had to miss two days of classes and had to submit several documents) and even then they have been extremely slow with the processing. I may end up missing the scientific conference that I have to attend because of this discrimination. Update: I got my visa cuz I got my friend to talk to the embassy people in German (he is fluent in it). It was a close call but I could make it to Spain and Austria for my summer projects. This was still a bad experience, I hope India's foreign policy can ameliorate these things slowly by rebranding the image of Indians.
Meanwhile i had and have still austrian gf, who always use to say india is poor country and still says, india is poor. But it's true too that India is poor.

I used to be an Indian passport holder, but now I’m a Canadian passport holder. I can’t even explain the difference I face when traveling compared to before. Now when I visit Europe, they don’t even ask how long my stay is going to be or where I am staying. I hope one day every single person gets the same treatment regardless of their nationality. I know the struggle, so I never take my passport for granted.
You were an Indian passport holder and now a Canadian so they asked you the length of your stay. Because they know that you will not return to India from there. 😝😝
Thank you for covering both aspects of this issue. It is not that only others need to respect India but we, as Indians, too need to maintain a positive image of India when we travel abroad.

Rightly pointed out in conclusion. We Indians really need to change individually. But the sad part is most of us refuse to accept our own behaviour and are ready to defend it 😅😂
The last part in this video about behaviour of some Indians in foreign is what need to show and highlighted. Many Indians don't care how they behave in foreign countries. This problem need to be highlighted.
Unfortunately our people want to go abroad by any hook n crook not realizing the adverse effect it has on its future Travellers. Im myself an NRI living and have seen our own people misusing their systems and exploiting the conditions....
Indians are so desperate to go abroad that they will even go to countries like Nigeria and Angola. Don't be surprised if you find them in North Korea as well.
This is a very informant video, but without much spreading this would not be known to everyone…so spread it and share it, consider it as a duty for an Indian.❤
Hi Abhi and Niyu, I second your point of view. The significant problem with many Indians is their tendency to disregard rules when traveling abroad and in our own country. It is important for them to change this attitude.
Problem is you’re dividing India with north or south. Just to feel superior. I’m North Indian and I don’t think I did any of these things. I have seen so many people doing bad things in abroad who are from south and North India so we need to change whole India.

1. Passport Ranking is the need of the hour - a short visit or tourist visa should not make us go through these many hurdles. 2. Internationally, we are bracketed under the category 'Indian' and it is necessary that we behave like the 'Travelling Ambassadors of the country'. We will get the respect we deserve then...and we can demand for it too..
last year I went to Phuket and there I booked a shared boat ride which used to go to different islands and Phuket being a tourist spot, many people were there from other countries but everyone was so lovely and well behaved but the only misbehaved ppl there were Indians and for some reason, they were proud of that. Not listening to the guide and passing comments to her and showing attitude without any reason and then Feeling proud like other people thinking they are very cool. @glimmerdewdrop7594 malaysia is definitely ahead in terms of civic sense. People are far more sensible, they actually use dustbins to throw litter and don't piss or sh*t openly unlike in india
Visa applications for Indian passport holders can be a nightmare because of the stringent documentation requirements and processing time. No matter how well you are prepared with the document, there are always some complications. I really hope this gets better.

Truly valuable info provided and someone staying in Singapore for many years now, I think a key point you addressed is that when we travel abroad our behaviour should reflect that we are brand ambassadors of our country. I truly agree with the point that breaking lines, talking loudly with zero respect to that country’s cultural ethos is seen and we really need to hold ourselves responsible and accountable! KYUNKI INDIA KO FARAK PADTAA HAIN..JAI HINDI!
This is one of my favourite video! Something I wanted to shout aloud to my fellow Indians. Going to float it everywhere so that people cultivate some awareness.
I believe there may be hesitation to improve the visa situation due to concerns over potential brain drain and the accompanying challenges such as an increase in the issues of individuals stuck in foreign countries, including those who may get into jail due to lack of local laws or those residing there illegally.
Last week I was denied a visa for France. An the ironing in this is that I'm a French teacher since 3 decades. I was going with a group of other French teachers for a training program. All the other 22 participants from Delhi,Mumbai,Chennai and Bangalore got their visas and 3 from Mumbai were denied the same. We had an invite from a French national who was conducting our training. All participants gave a same documents to the Consulate except our personal account statement and ITR.
My daughter is a UK citizen.....They have Visa free entry in 186 countries...She decided about US trip in the First week of August and they are back to UK after a 3 week US tour already when we are in the first week of September....
We as Indians are also responsible for this. For example Australia just put some north indian states like Punjab Haryana UP and Gujrat in a high risk category because somehwere around 80% of the applicants are sending fake documents to apply for Visas and the one who do provide correct documents over stay their Visas or go illegal.

Congratulations on such a great video. I’m in Australia and took a long while to decide and take Australian citizenship. Most of my friends who renounced Indian passport had this same valid point shared in your video that eventually convinced me. I also wish Indian visa and OCI formalities are all more flexible and Indian external affairs ministry strives towards strengthening Indian passport.
Reason: If we are given Visa ,we are ready to leave our country permanently due to our huge population and lack of opportunities. This is not the case in countries like Venezuela, Malaysia etc etc..
Excellent Abhi & Niyu....the second problem can be easily solved by proper training and for the 1st problem we must work hard to make the Indian passport stronger
I’ve travelled to more than 30 countries and all 7 continents in the last 1 year on an Indian passport and my biggest frustration while planning my travels have been to manage and coordinate with the dozens of visa issues! I just hate this problem about the Indian Passport. I have honestly felt like a slave in the last 1 year many times..
I got goosebumps seeing video. Since me and my husband are working away from country, and we very well understand the importance the value of passport. Trust me it feels bad, looking at passport, as am Indian i feel proud.
India should itself be developed. We should lure people abroad into coming to our country. We should make them dependent on us and destroy their economies, like Russia did by controlling gas, and Saudi did by refusing to sell oil. We have to pool of best skilled people, we have the best tourist attractions and one of the best medical services. Here in Melbourne, we have to wait for 50+ minutes, if we miss a bus, internet speed is poor and to meet a doctor you will have to wait for 20 days. In India, you can get cheap fares, buses and metro works really well in big cities, and you can cheaply visit a doctor as compared to here

What you said is very true…. When we go to abroad they look at us as indisciplined and messy hygiene habits we have naturally without giving us any benefit of doubt . It’s so sad that most Indians treat all public places as their birth right to travel and end up throwing waste food and bottles. I have witnessed it so I can totally believe it 😢

Thanks for covering the most awaited and ignored topic which is need of the hour but unfortunately being overlooked and ignored. Special thanks to AbhiandNiyu for taking this up and highlighting it, which no one has attempted. However, I like to differ on 2 of those 3 points you mentioned. Our economy and stability is much better than any of those developing and developed countries but still their rankings are way higher than us (Eg. Argentina & Venezuela from your own examples) which is a bit contradictory. I believe there must be something different we are missing here. But yes, diplomacy we have failed miserably. I recently traved to Egypt for vacation. Not only was i not eligible for visa on arrival but was also asked to get my passport stamped one more time after entering egypt .. i mean who wants to stay in egypt ??? And still they had such tough laws for an indian passport holder My german husband and daughter had literally no visa issues and ny husband was flabbergasted at the amount of paperwork we Indians need in order to travel. The cherry on top was that the reosrt we stayed at had a guest coordinator who asked me if indians eat unhygienic food. She apparently saw tiktok videos of indian street food which was all cooked without gloves and stained nails. I felt so low standing there and trying to explain not all of india eats like this. But at the same time i myself know that these videos are all too real. I also experienced working with IT crowd that comes from india for short term projects. They dont even get haircuts to save money and their clothes smelled a lot too because of not using deo or simply not airing their apartments after cooking which is a must in western houses because they are too insulated. Some of the employees even complained about it to the HR. Even if indian passport becomes stronger it would probably not do much in terms of respect we get as indans abroad. Each of us represents our country when we are abroad so its a must that we act like we are from a civilised society before we even think of the passport rank.

Yeah, I heard. I think India is having a population growth that causing some problems with density in the country hampering development. Also, lots of countries have re-instated visa requirements for Indian citizens due to skepticism of illegal immigration as a result of some individuals taking advantage of the no permit travel privileges offered by countries.
Honestly speaking, there is nothing to be proud of being Indian. I mean what's there to be proud about a nation which has a low gdp per capita, hdi rank of 130, low rank in innovation and competitiveness, high corruption, weak passport, disunity, religious disharmony, brain drain and many other never ending problems. In reality, people will truly feel proud of their country if it gives them economic prosperity and top quality life. Culture, history and all that crap are secondary and don't pay the bills. The overproud Indians who brag all over the internet of being proud of being Indian will dash out of India faster than light if they get a foreign visa. Talking about the army, most people join the army and other govt departments just to make money and get benefits, not out of patriotism.
We as individual while travelling abroad must ensure that we maintain highest level of dignity. We had gone for scuba diving in Thailand and had a Australian coach. She said we are first Indian she had met who were patient and sincerely learning without yelling, panicking and scratching her and having etiquettes to behave. She said that's why i am always reluctant to take indian learners This praise made us feel shameful
Illegal immigrants is a very serious problem. I live in Australia and here some Universities refused taking students specially from Haryana and Punjab because they don't study on student visa but do all other things..😢
Great content.. it's very important to be considered as a priority in International relations. I hope government takes steps towards it in near future. 😊
Note the fact that Indians are also the people who do the highest donkeying. This is one of the biggest reason our passport is looked upon with a lot of questions. I’m studying in Australia and most of the Indian students come here just to work and not study.. This is the harsh truth and it hurts people like me who genuinely want to study but don’t get the right people around. We are always looked as someone who is here just to work and earn money and not to study. I have been laughed upon by my Indian friends because I’m focusing on my studies and not on earning money. Whenever i say, I’m here to get education and not earn money at the moment, they just laugh and make jokes about how rich I am. So it’s not easy to increase the ranking if the non genuine people keep getting visas while the genuine ones keep getting rejected.
It's also not their fault, it's indian government fault because in India there's so much unemployment that results people moving to abroad for studies as a excuse of doing work. I think if their is less unemployment & more job opportunities this graph will decrease with time.😊😊 &as our population is growing immensely, in future their will be hardly jobs left to fullfill everyone need. & in future there will be lesser job opportunities💔💔it's life which is getting harder day be day

Hi Abhi and Niyu I am a frequent traveller (been to 66+ countries) and a travel blogger myself. You have missed THE MOST IMPORTANT factor that decides visa-free access - RECIPROCITY. This is the major reason that prevents visa free access for Indians. Most visa regimes work in reciprocation ie if you allow my citizens visa free access, I will provide the same for you in return. In case of India, till very recently India had a very tough visa application process which involved tons of documentation (including justifying your reason of travel, hotel bookings, return tickets, itinerary etc.), shitty long wait and very expensive visa fee. This came from a general governmental fear and mistrust regarding foreigners and their objective of visiting India. Therefore, most govt demanding strict visa regulations for Indians as well. A few years back, India enabled fast, cheap and easy e-visa (with no hotels and tickets demanded and almost 100% success) for many nations. In response, gradually many countries are reciprocating with e-visas, easier stamped visas and visa free access. I agree that the process can be expedited via diplomatic measures but that will still take time. For eg Russia (whose citizens get that India e-visa, since the start is yet to implement reciprocal e-visa to Indians despite the govt having very positive view on India and Indians and already many Indians going there and that's not because the Indian govt hasn't done anything to push it, just that Russian govt has been slow despite repeated promises of a strict implementation timeline and not just for the Indians, for multiple other nations too!). Comparing, the previlege on Ukrainian passport in relation to India and calling it a "White Previlege" to evoke the negative sentiment to help your video is either a poor judgement or lack of understanding. As I said, the positive change for India will take time despite all diplomatic efforts and same for the downgrade of Ukrainian passport. Again, for your due understanding, Ukrainians already don't get the visa free access they had in UAE and in Vietnam, Indonesia and Thailand. Many other countries are reconsidering their visa previlleges for Ukrainians too. The thing is simple - Any country wants "good" tourists to come in and by "good" I mean the ones who can spend well and those who don't overstay and seek employment. While the spending power of Indians is going up, we are still far behind in per capita incomes and these decisions are not taken based on number of billionaires a country has but the general average incomes of the masses and FYI Ukraine, despite the war still has better per capita income than India. And the other factor is the overstaying, that's the biggest problem with the Indians going abroad. I have personally met tons of Indians at the airports and land bordera of even the poorest of countries whose sole motive of being there was to cross over or to stay in X country illegally or without proper documentation and seek work. With that, no matter what the govt does, it would not help. Again an example, Serbia (in Europe) enabled one month visa free access to Indians, thanks to the efforts of Indian Ambassador to Serbia. Within three years, they had to close that! Reason - Too many Indians were using that entry to illegally cross into the Schengen Zone - so much so that not just the border control personnels but even the average Serbian citizen thought that an average Indian he saw walking across the street would be here for illegal crossing into the EU (experienced that negative sentiment myself personally while I was there). I even did a story on my channel of a guy I met while in Ukraine (yes the same Ukraine who is supposedly much worse than us according to you) who came into that "shitty fucked up" country of poor war ravaged white people (as the video seemed to portray) to cross over into Poland and was caught by the border guards of Ukraine and put into prison and those white guys were kind enough to let him go on a humanitarian grounds owing to his young age and not keep him incarcerated for the rest of his life. And yes, many Ukrainians are overstaying in other countries right now as they can't/don't wish to return home and emare even choosing to work illegally in their short term adopted homelands and this is already backfiring for them and would so so further in the future so it's not about being white but the kind of behaviour one exhibit as a tourist (following the rules of your visa status). Unfortunately, the poor behaviour of that small segment of overall Indian travelers, creates a very negative image and unfortunate difficulties for the others.
That was really well written, but I do wonder why only Indians are the one who misuse free visa access, what I mean is in the video they said many more poor countries are there who get free visa, but don’t they also misuse this? Genuinely curious.
@@lucyfer17. From my understanding, it's because of the (already big and growing) nexus of "agents" which are basically crooked thugs with political backing (and thus can exist despite complaints and operate with brazenness to the extent of open advertising).
Hi guys, The main reason for us not being given the fair rights as other countries is because of many factors. One of the important factor being is the behavior of the people. Some people spoil our countries name and reputation by misbehaving in other countries (especially they think that they own everything). This creates a very bad image among foreigners and hence they lose respect towards us. As a Indian community, we need to respect other countries that we visit or stay as student or as an employee. I have been living in New Zealand for the past 10 years and have acquired New Zealand Citizenship. The main reason for me to get the citizenship and give up Indian passport was due to my bad experiences while travelling on Indian passport. To be frank, the experience were very distressing and thus I concentrated to get an overseas passport. For me a passport is just a booklet which helps me make my travelling easier rather than going through all the distress and drama. I do have huge soft corner for India and our fellow Indians. However, it will take a long time to improve the Indian Passport in the passport index. Have a good one!
Not getting a visa does not only hamper tourism but also businesses. Imagine a small businessman trying to internationalize his business to make more profit.
Most Indians are ill mannered in western standard. That is a reality..

There's a reason why most of the world considers us Indians as slumdogs. And rightly so.
Indian men are extremely creepy
But the same white woke people kiss and do romance in public isn't it weird .....NOTE:- i am not justifying indian people behaviour in abroad. And the same this like clicking photos and shouting loud by a white skin guy doesn't make anything news but if it is indian then they point out.........
This has nothing to do with visa status…. Foreigners come to india for sex tourism….human trafficking is prevalent due to that, still those countries get respect…. As a person who actually reside in Australia I can guarantee that Italian, other Asian countries are equally loud…
To get Indian VISA is also very difficult and bureaucratic. Also good civic sense among Indians is very rare.

2 very important factors govern the strength of passport
1.) How the foreign people feel in India
2.) How Indians behave abroad
As an Indian I have experiences of Indians behaving rudely. It just doesnt fix itself unless 2 or 3 generations pass by. And it all depends on how we behave in front of others. Another significant factor is how well we respect the culture of the country we visit.

I may be called racist but what I observed whenever I go abroad is that dark skinned visitors (not all dark skinned but worst behaviour is from dark skinned) from South India are the worst in behaviour.

We were 73 in 2013 we have been declining since last 10 years.
Love from India Karnataka 🇮🇳 I am proud Indian

I love my Indian 🇮🇳 passport ❤
But Indian passport is weak..

She said that's why i am always reluctant to take indian learners
This praise made us feel shameful
Illegal immigrants is a very serious problem. I live in Australia and here some Universities refused taking students specially from Haryana and Punjab because they don't study on student visa but do all other things..😢
This is because most countries are worried some Indians will never go back on their own and just end of staying
Can't believe China is ahead of us then Malaysia ranking & even argentina & venezuela. Our external minister need to do more work on this.
They do not have as much population in poverty trying to escape.
External ministry should work not only the minister

Great content.. it's very important to be considered as a priority in International relations. I hope government takes steps towards it in near future. 😊

What a wonderful topic you guys picked up. Thank you so much for highlighting
I think if their is less unemployment & more job opportunities this graph will decrease with time.😊😊
&as our population is growing immensely, in future their will be hardly jobs left to fullfill everyone need. & in future there will be lesser job opportunities💔💔it's life which is getting harder day be day
@@Doodledreamer618 this is because we Indian are obsessed with govt job, only if we develop skills and explore opportunities rather than running after govt tag
@@Doodledreamer618 I would partially agree with your point, it’s not the government’s job to give employment. The problem is that the population is so huge that accomodating everyone in the workforce is next to impossible unless they are working in labour intensive industries like manufacturing, farming etc.
India is growing in the manufacturing sector, slowly but steadily. But we need to improve our agriculture industry. If that gets organised, we can definitely aim for the stars..
@@kapasayskonichwa6646 not everyone wants a government job.. The newer generations want money in hand instead of job security. So many are leaving their government job dreams and going towards private employment
Try to earn money instead of wasting age upto 30 for studying 😂
Students applying for July or Sept intake in foreign universities know how much of a ‘sar dard’ it is 😂
That's true. 😢
We as students should leave our bad Indian habits such as taking cleanliness lightly, etc
I’m from Goa and we can apply for a Portuguese passport, but i choose to stay in my country and make my country better than I found it and not surrender my citizenship… we as Indians have the potential to achieve big things but we need to set the politics and selfishness aside and work as a whole to make it a better place, Jai Hind
keep trying.

Watching from Europe. I appreciate this content and your efforts to make this video.
Gov is not giving attention to improve passport ranking because government is hoping that people should travel within India. It will help in improving local tourism and local economy.
Passenger paramvir s video on crossing Honduras and entering Nicaragua is a perfect example of this failure
Hi Abhi and Niyu
I am a frequent traveller (been to 66+ countries) and a travel blogger myself.
Also the fact that Bollywood, which drives the perception of many, paints a very unrealistic picture of "foreign countries"
Such a unique yet very very important topic. I hope this message reaches everyone and hope to see change in near future
Hi guys,
The main reason for us not being given the fair rights as other countries is because of many factors.
For this, he needs to travel to other countries to seek out potential clients. But this is hampered by not getting a visa. I had tried 3 times for a Schengen visa for the same but finally managed to get it for the third time...and yes it was a business visa that was being rejected
It will also help upsc aspirants. You both are great❤.
we people do not admit that we pollute our country, we can't admit for other countries, this mindset has to be change, it takes time but I'm doing it.
