as a Latter Day Saint, just clarifying, in 18'00's the early days of the church Joseph Smith (the prophet) sent an apostle called Orson Hyde to bless the land for the return of the Jews way before they gathered after the 2nd world war, so yes we definitley believe in Israel as a literal gathering place for the Jews.

That's wonderful. However you should consider believing in God's finished revelatory product, The Bible and avoid filtering it through new revelation. The Bible says we are positionally made righteous, ASIDE from works, ordinances, and obedience to the law...it's only by faith in Christ alone (Romans 4:5). Know you're a sinner, men are not good and are naturally inclined toward sin (Romans 3:10,23). Faith in Christ determines your final resting place and nothing else .

As someone who is Israeli and Jewish, I sincerely appreciate you and would like to extend an invitation for you to visit Israel. In regards to your statement about the intelligence failure, I respectfully disagree. There was documentation of Hamas training near the fence, and while we were hesitant to start a war, our focus on defense was not enough. Unfortunately, we have lost many lives as a result. It is clear now that there is no room for weakness in the Middle East. Even Bibi has acknowledged finding an attack without the backing of the United States. While there was certainly an intelligence failure, I believe there was a much bigger failure in our perception of the situation (they will not attack...we are strong.... And etc).

This was a great discussion. We don't all have to agree 100% but being able to defend your position and belief in a rational and logical way is wonderful, and refreshing to hear from the younger generation. Totally respect that.
The guy is wearing a Megadeth shirt -- one of the albums deal with religion, war, and government corruption. A song from that album is called Holy Wars.....Punishment Due. Megadeth is a very Conversative Heavy Metal band in support of democracies in Israel.
Dave Mustaine who wrote the vast bulk of the music has always been anti-establishment not necessarily conservative. "Foreclosure of Dream" mocks George H. W. Bush, rightfully so, but in later albums he also mocks Obama's "Hope and Change". He really just calls out BS in government where he sees it. However, I would say he leans conservative especially now.

Charlie claims that God has a covenant with Abraham to bless his children and the nations with the land, Israel. Through faith in Christ even gentiles are made children of Abraham (Gal 4:28). Throughout history the Jewish people disobeyed God, were exiled and restored many times to the point of rejecting His Son. Israel will be restored when Christ sits on the throne in Jerusalem, and as it currently exists, the nation state of Israel is in disobedience to Christ our Lord. Even non-zionist jews recognize that Israel will be restored spiritually, not just physically and politically.
Yes and no Jews should be against a European Christian homeland/culture and homogenous society, just like how Israel wants in its borders.
But also you shouldn’t blindly follow / support something that is actively making bad decisions.

As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, I can tell you, that part of our doctrine is that Israel would be restored to its ancient land. So, Charlie's beliefs and LDS's beliefs are in harmony on this subject. I think our young scholar has not read his scriptures or missed his gospel doctrine classes.
They both really need to look into the “religion of peace”.

Everyone seems to want to gloss over the part that Assyria isn't a country currently, and that the Assyrian people are spread all across the world due to all the war going on in the Middle East. And given the fact that the Israeli's are on the sides of the Kurds and NOT the Assyrians in ensuring that land goes to the Kurds and NOT the Assyrians, I'm guessing that the "end of days," should that ever be the case, isn't going to happen for anywhere from 200 to 2000 years from now.

Latter-Day Saints believe in the literal gathering of Israel, which includes the physical gathering of Jews in Jerusalem. It's a doctrine that has been emphasized by our prophet in the past few years, so I'm not sure how a Latter-Day Saint doesn't understand why the Jews should be in Jerusalem.

This was a nice conversation to watch and I learned from it.
2 things to consider, Charlie:
1. The only time in the History of our land when all religions worshipers are free to practice their fate is under Israel. Between 1948 to 1967, Jews were not allowed to get to the Western Wall in Jerusalem as it was under Jordanian rule.
2. Up until the creation of the PA in 1994, Christians were 65% of Bethlehem's population. 30 Years later, under Muslim PA, they are about 25%.
I would add another-mormonism is not Christian

Me being an Israeli: absolutely stunned by how people view us. First - we wanted a state to prevent a second Holocaust. That’s the only reason we are here. Because of violence against Jews.
I’d say most of us think religion is a poison that makes the world a horrible place. I wish we could’ve have a two state solution but the Palestinians just want to leverage it for another October 7, it happened so many times before, we handed over a piece of land and we got terrorism in favor and not peace. So yes we should occupy it all (just because of security, not that I desire to oppress anyone)

The one thing that I admire about this student is too have a peaceful and rational discussion about a very controversial topic. No screaming, yelling. Just a verbal dialogue where they can agree on somethings, but not all things. Most of the time and unfortunately Charlie Kirk is being yelled at or attacked by aggressive students. This was refreshing.
Weird. I’m also a Latter Day Saint and I definitely believe that the foundation of Israel is a part of the prophesied restoration of the ten tribes.
