My thoughts exactly! I had a feeling their romance, especially from his side, came a bit out of nowhere (maybe due to the fact that I binged the series in one night) but then I just had to watch some vids of them to sooth my broken heart and I actually found him slowly falling in love with her from like the secon episode! Like you said, his eyes, expressions...they say it all!
Yes, he's so intense, so frightened of having his heart broken and so aware that CH is an ingenue and he's not wanting to rush her. The kiss on the cliffs is so measured but you can see how intense his feelings are for her. He's so happy when she reveals that she loves him, too! Only for it all come crashing down! 😭
If these two do not end up together i swear i may start a riot. Can next sunday come quickly please i need more Sanditon!!

This is the best video for Sidlotte, it was one of the first that attracted my attention and is most definitely a favourite. Now we need a season two to fix the angst!
Rose Williams killed it in Sandition, as did Theo James. They have Excellent Stage Chemistry. Sydney was falling in Love with Charlotte from the 1st day he met her. Charlotte was confused, as Sydney seemed to send mixed signals. Sydney needs a woman with feminine softness, strong moral character, the ability to take the lead & Common sense. Charlotte has all of this. I do hope that we see a Season 2. Very soon.

I LOVE this video and how Christina's song fits perfectly here. Definitely my favorite Sidlotte Video. Can't help but watch it every time it hits my feed. Sidney is the part of Charlotte's life that defined the woman who was able to relate to and understand Alexander.

Finally Charlotte was beginning to realise her feelings for Sidney and things were beginning to look up. The ball was lovely until Charlotte saw Sidney with his former fiancee. This was the woman that broke Sidney's heart by marrying an older wealthy man who has since died. She is now a free woman and can reclaim Sidney's heart, the look on Charlotte's face when she realises that she may have lost Sidney is heartbreaking. By the way Sidney's former fiancee is played by Theo's real wife.

Jane Austin always makes a happy ending for her heroines, I never read Sanditon, I’m not sure how much was completed, and how much was filled in by others, but had Theo James signed on for the second season perhaps their story would have been different. The second and third season were done well but I really love Sydney and Charlotte together. I wish their story could have ended better.

Why though- Sidney sucks he did the same thing to Charlotte that Eliza did to him without a second thought. Everyone knows how unstable he is- the right guy for Charlotte is the Scottish carpenter guy. He never wanted anything from Charlotte he just wanted to protect her and was always there when she needed him the most- when Sidney was yelling at her, when Eliza showed up at the event, whenever she was in trouble that guy baled her out. Sidney is just there for the control and attention. He can't keep a wife he's too tainted. The carpenter boy is pure and loved Charlotte for who she is, even when she doesn't give him much attention. He's the perfect husband.
@@ThingsILikke Honestly, I can't argue with you there. True - Stringer was so sweet, he knew he liked Charlotte from the start and showed it. Sidney on the other hand (being as hardheaded as he was) took much longer to figure his feelings out. But the thing is that Charlotte developed feelings for Sidney (not Stringer) despite his very flawed character and brought out a good side in him. And I'd like to believe that past that cold serious exterior, Sidney was starting to show his feelings for her as well.
@@debjmarques I think Sidney was interested in Charlotte as soon as he saw her- he flirts by ignoring and acting annoyed. I know because I flirt the same way- it is how you get someone to care about how you see them and make them work for your attention. Ester and the West Indian girl both warned Charlotte about Sidney, but Charlotte is too inexperienced to listen. This is his game- older men that have the power do this with underling women all the time. I had a boss that did this with me when there was a 15 year age difference- I acted like I didn’t notice and played up my “kid sister” act and it made him treat me with a lot of respect and he was very protective of me. He was sleeping with at least one other woman there and I knew he flirted with every attractive girl at the company, so I played dumb and innocent and it worked out very well for me. I wasn’t interested. Charlotte hasn’t had a boyfriend and lives on a farm so she doesn’t understand what is going on. It’s very easy for a handsome man who has the money and the power in the situation to get what he wants- he just has to show up and give the girl some attention. He doesn’t have to fight for her because someone else has her attention (if Charlotte were smart she would have used Stringer as the antagonist and gone out on dates with him) and he doesn’t have to spend any money or time on her- she’s already there it is convenient. If Stringer and Sidney’s roles were switched and Stringer was the boss, Charlotte would be way more interested in him. Sidney keeps ending up seated next to her at brunch, pops up wherever she is, makes like he can’t stand her- it’s a game. Too easy.
@@debjmarques And honestly, that whole Parker family really ain't shit. Johnathan tried to make a vacation spot out of a pretty cold and crappy plot of land and he can't run a business at all, seems incapable of telling a good idea from a bad idea and has terrible credit, Sydney is only seen as a certain way because Gerogianna's dad died and took a liking to Sydney first, the youngest brother is sweet but doesn't do anything and the sister is the same. No one knows yet why Georgianna can't stand Sydney and there was a hint that Sydney did try to get at her initially but Georgianna wasn't interested. They live in Sandition off of Lady Denhem's money and inheritance- none of them are particularly successful or qualified to do anything-they are only in their positions because of their parents. And even then, they aren't successful. Stringer is a hard worker and runs the business of the construction because he works hard and in smart, and he's younger and taller than Sydney and more innocent. If I knew a man hooked up with prostitutes and had terrible credit, I would lose all interest immediately. Sydney's just a ladder climber like the rest of his foolish family.

Nossa e tão lindo mágico os cenarios os personagens a história sou fan de orgulho e preconceito e razão e sensibilidade essa autora escreve com tanto amor estava a frente do seu tempo e época nas suas obras literárias percebe se o quanto a mulher e exaltada e desbravatora de seu destino estou atorando poder conhecer e saber mais sobre essa linda obra deixada por ela uma pena que não deu tempo de conclui la adorariamos saber mais e como ela terminaria essa historia tao linda provavelmente os dois personagens terminariam juntos eu acho mas claro antes teriam que vencer suas próprias personalidades e temperamentos tao diferentes um do outro mas como dizem no final tudo da certo por que um completa o outro
