  • A two-time All-American sweeper for Santa Clara University, Cameron Rast ‘92 shares some memories from the 1992 Olympic games. Known for his steady leadership, Rast had the honor to serve as the U.S. Men’s Soccer team captain at the Barcelona games.
As a Bronco, Rast spearheaded SCU’s 1989 NCAA national co-championship squad which, 35 years later, remains the last Division I men’s soccer team to go undefeated.
Rast’s career includes winning gold at the 1991 Pan-American games and coaching the U.S. Under-17 National team. Through it all, his connection to Santa Clara has gone virtually uninterrupted.
Since 2002, Rast has coached SCU’s Men’s Soccer team, leading his alma mater to eight NCAA tournaments and six West Coast Conference Championships.
