Taking the Ferry + Bus from Buenos Aires to Montevideo, Uruguay via Colonia on Buquebus

We're taking the Buquebus ferry from Buenos Aires, Argentina to Colonia del Sacramento, Uruguay. From there we're boarding a bus to take us to Montevideo. This is how we arrived at the Buquebus ferry terminal in Buenos Aires, went through check-in, security, and immigration, boarded the ferry to Colonia, boarded the bus to Montevideo, and found transportation to our accommodation in Montevideo. We also talk about what it's like onboard the ferry itself and what services and restaurants are available.

Sounds like faster, same price to just take flight to MVD.

I did this in 2008. Didn't know about the little paper thing one needs to keep for immigration back to Argentina when I went. Only cost a nominal charge to get past that ($17 or so).
