Can you share how you incorporated the Lonestar Adhesive? Did you have it pre-applied to the leatherette? At what stage did you add the adhesive? Love this and can't wait to try it out!!! I have lots of leatherette and many ideas I can't wait to try. Thank you for sharing.
I buy with adhesive already applied! I do have rolls of it as well to apply to my plastic - put it on the full sheet of material and press on the flat heat press for 12 seconds (can’t remember temp) then ready to cut. Glad to hear of the code use! I don’t get any kickback from it - just asked for a coupon to help others find the product I love and test it.
Could you print a whole sheet of the logos with some targets on the sheet, apply the whole sheet of logos to a whole sheet of leatherette and then use print and cut in lightburn? Not sure if the DTF can tolerate two pressings, one to apply to the leatherette, and another to apply the patches to the hats.
I see from comment leatherette already had adhesive applied. What kept the adhesive from being activated when you did the DTF heat press in first step? Why did it not stick to your press?
Did you design your colored logo yourself? If so, what program did you use to do the designing and who or how did you get the DTF finished product to adhere to your leather? Did you outsource that step to create the DTF's?
I had someone at a marketing company I used to work for design it. I have someone with a dtf printer print them for me, then heat press them onto the leatherette
I wonder if you can go ahead and do them in a sheet and then use Lightburns camera and print to cut function. That a way you don't have to fiddle with the allinement. 🤔
I don’t have a camera, would have to purchase one. I’m trying to think of ways to press first then cut. Was thinking of the prints could but done on an exact same size sheet of the leatherette and then I know the exact spot and can add the border to cut?
What is the rubber sheet or silicone sheet you put over the top when pressing the hat. I ordered some and they get extremely hot and ruin the DTF print and stick to the platen. I feel I may have bought the wrong kind. Can you hit me with a link and also have you tried butcher paper or a teflon sheet?
These are on my to do list. Great vid as always.
Thank you very much!

@@davidrayle3140 yeah you can!
Is that just a little sponge or pillow under that hat? I've had trouble getting them perfect without wrinkles, and that seems to be a great idea!
Looks like a cornhole bag
It is a mini Cornhole bag
@@SodaCityBoards I see tons of sizes on these mini cornhole bags, is the one you're using 2" or 3"?

Yes, there is a paper backing to it that won’t allow it to activate. once you take that off and press it would activate

What thickness is the silicone mat you used? And is that a pressing pillow? I'm tryin to figure out the size of that as well.
It is a mini Cornhole bag. As far as thickness I’m not sure - it’s the same sold on Lonestar adhesives website

It is just a silicone sheet that I use (it came with another press I purchased so I don’t have a link) - check out amazon for silicone sheets!
What’s under your hat? I’ve been trying to find the right then to put under mine
I was just using a mini Cornhole bag under it
When I tried to do dtf on the leather patch once I put the patch on the hat the dtf peeled off the leather. Any idea to the fix for that?
Leather or leatherette?
@@SodaCityBoards leatherette.
