Nina Simone performs a medley of "Little Girl Blue" and "Au Clair De La Lune" live at Jazz à Juan - the International Jazz Festival in Juan-les-Pins, Antibes, France on July 24th, 1965.
Nina performed twice at Jazz à Juan in 1965: on July 24th and July 25th. This is the full recording of Nina's first concert that year.
Nina appears with Lisle Atkinson (on bass), Rudy Stevenson (on guitar & flute) and Bobby Hamilton (on drums)

IDK for sure what you meant about some of the ‘white’ people’s reaction in the audience as ‘showing their true colors’? I didn’t notice anything that would suggest they were racist in any way. Also, remember WHEN this was done - the mid ‘60’s. As a 70ish y.o. Caucasian, I was raised NOT to judge people who were ‘different’ from me in any sense. But many others were different and biased, having preconceived notions about ALL ‘blacks’ in general.

It was also interesting to watch the audience: their reaction, intense attention, spontaneity...
Spectators of the 21st century no longer behave this way - they are more constrained, they control themselves at _such_ concerts, remembering video cameras everywhere. 🤔
