    You are so right. Another prayer, Aleinu, also done obligatorily and quickly, but is very deep and emotional.

    Something I have been thinking about a lot lately, and potentially a bit of a hot take, but, when you get down to it, atheism and monotheism are just two different ways of describing the same infinite and eternal monism.
    When I was young I used to believe in God. As I grew older I became an atheist. Now, looking back, I realise that I never changed.

    What I despise is when the Rabbi is more interested in making political statement or comment on common news stories subject of his homily rather than giving more in depth commentary on the Torah portion.

    My kids start Memorizing Psalms in Old Hebrew and Aramaic my Ex Wife she is A Syrian Jewish Lady Memorize 150 Psalms in Old Hebrew and Aramaic
    Iam not Jewish but my kids chose Judaism when they were kids and i supported them i was secular Muslim in that time but my kids speak better Arabic than an Arab from the Middle East because they they understand some secrets in Arabic language most Arabs font understand because they are from Aramaic origine and they speak better Hebrew than most Jews
    My ex wife Family sre decented from Levites
    We live in Netherlands
