You can tell he’s nervous, he played way more quickly than the song calls for, but he still did a very special rendition of one of my favorite songs of all time. When the cameras zoom in on people in the audience, you can see how much of an emotional effect this song is having on them.
I don't think he was necessarily trying to do the exact tempo. He was doing an Ed Sheeran campfire type version of it and assume he practiced it many times over. But ya, of course he would have been nervous.
