They are lovely sounding, and looking instruments. Loved the intro, had a gauzy GAS atmosphere. Landforms segment sounded lovely too, again shades of GAS, but also a bit reminscent of Basinki's Disintegration Loops and Aphex Selected Ambient Works. If you haven't checked them out, have a listen to Felt Instruments too. For me, if I'm not going to use hardware, it's these types of hybrid sample/processing instruments I like. And there are some great desktop and iOS granular processors too, that I use a lot. Though I plan to get a Tasty Chips GR-1, Tempera or similar. Loved the outro. Beautiful music from delicate sounds. I realise Spitfire blew themselves up, but Tundra or the affordable Spitfire Originals Cinematic Frozen Strings would pair beautifully with Landforms. Because it has a lot of intimately focused delicate detail in the high-end. Or Dan Keen's Soft String Textures is something I would love to have, when close warmth is what's needed.

Do you think the Torso T-1 would be useful in this context - specifically with Choreographs? I have Choreographs and I've seen you using the T-1 quite a bit. I guess what I'm wondering is if the functionality of the T-1 would be additive to the S+A plugins or if it might feel more redundant.

Thankyou so much - do slate and ash plug-ins chew up a lot of cpu

These S+A plugins feel like hardware to me. What I mean is that they are so unique and powerful and can't really be replicated by anything else. I really enjoy them.

I cannot get my Push 3 to control Auras using MPE 😢 not sure what I’m doing wrong.

I have only Choreographs (for now) and I love it, I'm usually not a big fan of Kontakt or multi-samples as I like to have more expressive sounds coming out of experimentation and how I feel at the moment, but these devices & NI playbox really changed my mind, I used them in a combination of pedals (chase bliss mostly) & with a bunch of m4l sequencers all connected to a sensel morph and a K Board Pro-4 and it sounds amazing every damn time!

I have them all now (thanks for the discount) - the finest instruments in my collection for exploration and inspiration (well and the most expensive 🤭)

Just came across this video now after being introduced to the S + A stuff on another YT video. Just an observation on your midi controller, I love my Midi fighter Twister, as it give 16 knobs with LED feedback, that are switchable into four banks by toggle buttons on the side. Your controller has more knobs, but I really enjoy having the feedback on the controller, and they have customizable colors that can be linked to your software also.

I like the midi fighter, I am thinking on getting a yaeltex controller tho, similar approach but lot of customization

@@OoraMusic The Twister comes with some basic but very reliable for me software which is very nicely designed which allows you to customize the color swatch under each knob, and assign the custom colors to each of the four "layers". Then I use Bitwig, which detects the controller fine, to access each of the layers with custom midi assignments which change automatically based on active context in Bitwig, from plugin to plugiin. It's a really good system I think.
My next self-assignment is to set up a custom layer for multitrack recording control which includes using the push-in functionality of the knobs to control the record and transport controls, so I can have a set up for looping, and recording and playing loops of four tracks...
The push functionality also controls a "fine" setting for the knob range, which I think you can customize easily in the supplied software, but I have never needed to use that, as the range of the knobs has always been fine for me in Bitwig.
I'm always on the lookout for controllers, I'll check out the one you mentioned, thank you. I'm thinking of also setting up one of the new bespoke "keypad with knobs, keys and buttons" units from classic computer keyboard community for midi control also - they offer customization through a couple of different softwares.
