Love all these Reva & Kyle clips! My fave all-time soap couple! Isn't the episode where one of them is dreaming about dancing with each other at the country club (w/ fog for special effects) posted on YT somewhere? Thanks for posting the vids!
I totally disagree with the way the writers decided to end the Kyle/Reva story line. If you didn't know what had preceded this scene you would think that Kyle is the bad guy here and he isn't. They should have thought of a different way to break them up. Kyle & Reva were much better than Josh & Reva in my opinion!
You’re so right I don’t get how Kyle was the bad guy in this storyline. He “did the right thing” and married Maeve at Reva’s insistence even though everyone including Maeve knew he loved Reva. Then when Maeve realized he wasn’t going to stop loving Reva she pretends their baby died? Maeve let’s the man believe his baby died and she’s the victim? I actually liked the Maeve character she made Fletcher actually interesting. But they ruined her for awhile when they wrote that this strong woman would marry a man that she knew didn’t love her. Then there’s Reva who loved Kyle so much she tried to kill herself when she lost him. Yet she gets over him literally overnight and is back in love with Josh? None of it made sense. Reva and Kyle had 100 times more chemistry than Josh band Reva.
@@la73sh19 I did enjoy the whole Sonni/Solita storyline. Josh was always more interesting with someone else Annie, Sonni, Olivia. Same with Reva I like her much better with Kyle, Alan, and especially Jeffrey. Josh always seemed to look down on Reva she was never quite good enough for him similar to Ridge and Brooke on the Bold and Beautiful. But without the intense chemistry that Ron Moss and Katherine Kelly Lang had.
I get so f’ing angry watching his ending on this show. It gives me PTSD. I was sooo mad that when Kyle left, I left. Great timing for me in leaving GL… as I swiftly moved to Santa Barbara at the time and caught the (3) best years of SB where they swept the floor in Emmy’s. Kyle was not this madman these last clips show him to be. Larkin carried a lot on his back for 2 years filling in the power spot that Alan was and the lover spot that Josh was… as both Robert Newman & Chris Berneau both departed the show when he came on. Reva softened this man up, made him vulnerable & NOONE held a candle in the Romance department like Kyle. Kyle truly loved Reva. Kim has said multiple times that Larkin was her most Romantic lead. There are (2) actors that I thought Kim Zimmer played best opposite… Larkin was #1 & Tom Pelphrey was #2… she did her best work opposite them both earning her Emmys. Larkin was robbed, should have gotten an Emmy on that bridge with Kim. RIP sweet Larkin, will always love you.
Now THAT'S gut wrenching soap acting and writing. Very well done!
I didn't know this was how Kyle & Reva officially ended. They were supposed to be epic. They went out with a whimper. Interesting. Thx for the upload.
So sad about Larkin Malloy RIP
The GOOD OLD DAYS!!!

Reva and Josh were my super couple.kim Zimmer and Robert Newman are my favorite 4 ever and always.
Kyle....Josh is back now get your ass to All My Children
I miss guiding light so much
Talk about destroying a character,?
Yes Kyle was moody and temperamental but he was not a psycho
kyle + reva ended too abruptly for me. the writers just totally shut them down without EVER looking back

I remember watching this in elementary school, and I thought Kyle was a creep!

@@TheMaggiesDad, sounds like a spell of bad writing!! I didn't start watching until Marah was born, and it got way better, from there.

I agree they messed up the ending of this for sure!! but I still ended up watching guiding light until the end..
Kyle Sampson/ Travis Montgomery were the leading man to two of daytime's leading ladies. Reva Shayne (Kim Zimmer) and Erica Kane (Susan Lucci)
And of Raven (Sharon Gabet) on Edge of Night. Major divas, all.
