Excellent product. Holds my iPhone 13 Pro Max with ease. Extremely nice piece. Very easy to install as well. I got the MagSafe version, and this installs exactly like the video. The only difference is the actual mount. Charges well.
Just installed mine on a 2017 Mustang with Performance Package. PP has a single connector that didn’t give me any grief. Mount looks like Ford put it there!
It would be nice to see it on the left side too, for those who have another gadget such as a tuner, instead of having the tuner elsewhere like on the windshield. The tuner is something I don't look at, at all times, just a once in while scan, but I think the steering wheel will probably obstruct partial view, I just tried it and it does but still for a quick scan it will do just fine. So the phone on the right and the tuner on the left, they look pretty good and no wires all over the place.
This actually will work on the drivers side but it just does not fit exactly like it does on the right due to the angle of the bends. We have had several happy right hand drive customers confirm this to us.
Just installed mine on a 2020 Mustang. The actual install of the mount was easy. It was the trim removal that was nerve-wracking. I thought I almost cracked the trim in half with the amount of force I was using to pull it off. Otherwise, a very nice product.
just purchased the one with Magsafe charging. is the install any different? also is this compatible with apple car play? how will it work since when I connect the phone with a USB for car play that charges the phone.
The installation for the Direct Fit bracket is the same regardless of the head option you choose. The only difference is you need to power the MagSafe charging head to allow it to charge your phone. It is a charger only as you cannot transfer data through your phones charging coil. You would still need to connect the cable to the bottom of the phone to enable carplay. Your phone is smart enough to only charge via one of the two methods.
this looks pretty neat, much better then all the other mounts I've seen so far a bit shame it's not magsafe compatible, hope they release a magsafe attachment
@@coursemotorsports3146 thanks, I noticed that already, but was on pre-order...now it says in stock so I am definitely ordering one now (my mustang comes tomorrow) would be nice to have some more economic worldwide shipping options, the DHL worldwide express is only few bucks less than the mount itself (not in a hurry so I'll use shipito instead)

I just installed mine but I was already kinda worried I might break something when having to take off the trim piece 😅.. but trying to reinstall the bolt was indeed a pain as I lost it as well. But I didn’t have those special magnetic pens so I had to search up another video on how to remove the whole radio which I managed to do and fetch my bolts and then install the phone mount which was way easier now that the radio was off.
We did not try to fit this on the drivers side so unfortunately cannot say if it will or not. We do not have pictures of the mount with the wireless charge option. We only shoot with the standard non charging magnetic to keep the site simple.
The answer might be too late for you, but I installed mine today on a 2021 and I attempted the drive side. It won't interfere with the turning sign as I suspected but it will make possible to bump your right leg in the bottom part of the phone. I'm 5'11" and I try to keep the back seat somewhat usable, it might not be a problem if you drive with your legs super straight. Also, the phone isn't fully visible for the driver, which might be a problem for you. I've installed the powered magsafe pad, but doubt the thickness change is big enough to make any difference. What I suggest is: attempt the drive side, put the phone on it and sit and see how do you like it. At that point, attempting the drive side first isn't that much work. Another note for people reading this before installing: if you have big hands and you don't have a socket extension that is just the right length, it might force the panel too much to the back. It made the process extremely slow for me. I did the driver side experiment like this and decided to just remove the panel entirely but that requires taking the top of the console out. Sounds scary, looks scary, but it's not too bad. Look for a video on how to do it and have plastic tools in case you can't snap the pieces out using your hands. Keep in mind you don't need to completely remove the console piece, just pull it back a little so you can have access to the little plastic piece covering the panel screws. So far very happy with the mount. It was very scary as I never did anything like this in a car before (and the car is new, my first mustang and all), but turned out to be easy.
@@coursemotorsports3146 it isn't, the base model has a 4 inch screen, the model in this video has an 8 inch screen. I'm curious as to the same thing, if fitment is possible with the 4 inch screen (since the mounting locations are likely not the same between the two sized screens). I'm gonna look into this though and see what's back there to answer my own question, since I understand it's not easy to confirm fitment with every variation of a vehicle out there
@@coursemotorsports3146 okay I checked and the 4 inch screen uses the same mounting points and screws as the 8 inch screen, so it will work regardless of which one you have

This is so insane 🙏
Thanks.
Ratcheting wrench looks nice! What brand?
We are unsure of the brand. It is not something that we sell on our site though.
Can you connect to a MagSafe phone case
Yes, we have MagSafe head options that can be kitted with our products.
Can you disable the light seems it’s draining my car battery
It cannot be disabled but it draws almost no power.

Does anyone know the diameter of the ball?
We use a 17mm ball for all of our head options.
Is the magnetic charging head powered with a USB-C connection?
Alex, All of our charging options come with a 12v adapter and a USB A to USB C cord. The USB C goes to the charging head end.

We sell all head options by themselves in our accessories section of our website. All head options use the same 17mm ball to attach.
Not a bad looking kit... is the magnet still required if you have an iPhone 12 or 13 with MagSafe?
I would like to know this also. I just purchased a 2020 GT and have an iPhone 12 Pro Max and would like something like this mount.
The steel pad is required regardless of your phone being MagSafe or not.
I used the Snap Pro 3 from OhSnap. Very low profile. Low enough to enable wireless charging for my phone AND has very strong magnets.
Will this fit on the base model as well?
Yes.
Hi, I have the ford sync version with the keypad(base model)) and oil pres and temp gauges up top.
Will this work for my car?
As mentioned in the video, the panel comes off the same but there are wires to the gauges that might need to be unplugged.
Can this be installed on the driver side? Do you have any videos of the wireless charger on the Mustang?

I don’t mind the work. I did extra work to hardwire a charging cable behind the dash.
