@Smeedia After the turbo replacement. I'm certain a ground was not secured properly. There is a ticking noise coming from the dash on startup, as if the starter is still trying to turn over. Battery is drained atm, so it's disconnected until I figure out why.

Hey tanner! I’m having a problem on my 06 Impreza with with a jdm 5 speed where my wheel speed is intermittent. Could it just be bad sensors and are they on the hubs or the trans?
Could be sensor, I’m fairly certain those transmissions have the speed sensor on the transmission. Should be to the right of the turbo on top of the trans
Looking into it a bit more, spoke with the gentlemen who tuned it prior and I was told we will need an AWD dyno to accommodate the sensors. I’ve only seen online dyno modes for newer models so far
With the DIY exhaust are you going to try and mimic an aftermarket exhaust referring to the routing of the exhaust or do your own? I’m just curious because doesn’t the bend placements and stuff factor into the sound? Also you wouldn’t happened to have found the Konig center caps laying around🥺

Personally, I don't understand the "purists'" dislike of the 996 headlight design. It's still recognizably "Porsche" to me. I guess it's much like the various generations of WRX/STi headlights. Either way, crazy jealous of your acquisition of the other brand of Boxer-engined goodness. The flat-6 is probably my favourite-sounding engine in the automotive world. Biding my time until I can afford to toss an aftermarket exhaust on my 3.6R.
I’ve never understood it, I have no issues with the 996 lights. The only grip I have is the Orange bulb in them. But should be an easy LED Conversion for that. Have heard really good things about the Raptor headers for the 3.6 if you’re looking for a good budget set!
Yes! I've been keeping my eye on those exact ones! Sadly, it's not a case of direct bolt-on, as the manifold and cats are a single continuous piece per bank, so there'll need to be some fab work done to cut the stock pipes in the right spot and have flanges welded on.
Being a 996tt owner the algorithm suggested your channel. That evoms rear box + other associated mods make me think you'll be seeing around 550whp. It's a beast! Congrats.
Mods for Porsche $$$$$ $6000 yikes lol vs you know already the Subaru and Mazda such a difference in price. Excited for the joy you are having with the new toy.
I was shook when I saw that 😂 I’ll dig everything as per usual aside from engine parts we should be able to build or fab anything needed vs buying aftermarket
Are actually buying them?! They dropped the prices in both already lol The white one needs an alignment unless they did it but aside from that they’re both perfect 👌
Also the AWD system saps far more power from the engine compared to RWD. A RWD converted one will put around 10% more of its flywheel bhp to the wheels.
I think the last car I would add to this collection as the ultimate tuner would be an r35 gtr Only if you were going for fun, would be missing a "family daily" if you have a family
I’ve always heard we should keep the oil level right in the middle of the range. You might want to research that a little. I’m sure you’re fine, but you never know
Would not call it a clone, GT2 has basically full GT3 suspension, bigger brakes, different clutch without slave, no TC, wider wheels, various engine improvements+++ Your car is definitively pretty close though 👍
Did you know: Porsche puts there ignition on the left side because back in the 30s-40s drivers would start on the left of their car with it off. Thus porsche drivers could start that car while entering.

@Smeedia After the turbo replacement. I'm certain a ground was not secured properly. There is a ticking noise coming from the dash on startup, as if the starter is still trying to turn over. Battery is drained atm, so it's disconnected until I figure out why.
I don’t even think my truck held that much oil, holy moly that oil flow was crazy
It just kept coming 😂😂😂
@@Smeediashe was gushing in excitement of you taking her for a ride
Hey where would you guys recommend getting individual parts from? I wanna build a motor for my brz but I’m not sure of a reliable shop to source individual parts
Hi yo tannn that car is wild , happy for you coffee man 🎉🎉
Thanks buddy 🎉😁
There has got to be some kind of dyno/test mode you can put the car in
Looking into it a bit more, spoke with the gentlemen who tuned it prior and I was told we will need an AWD dyno to accommodate the sensors. I’ve only seen online dyno modes for newer models so far
I'm so stoked you got a Porsche 911..
Been loving this thing 🥳
Loving The Seats
They’re pretty comfortable surprisingly for long distance driving 😅
With the DIY exhaust are you going to try and mimic an aftermarket exhaust referring to the routing of the exhaust or do your own? I’m just curious because doesn’t the bend placements and stuff factor into the sound?
Also you wouldn’t happened to have found the Konig center caps laying around🥺
I’ll try and mimic it the best I can but we will see how close I can get it 😅
I thought I sent those to you a hot while ago? 😩
Usually removing the fuse will disable that future , just an idea 💡 , looks like a puzzle to work on Porsche
I’ll try that next time, I’d assume it work work? 😅
@@Smeedia I’m a Master tech for Volvo, 😅 if something you want to by pass, I always remove the fuse to do what ever I need to do 👍🏻 I hope it works on Porsche, by the way, I got new engine installed at Subaru on my Subaru under warranty 👍🏻, I just checked online, you are 100% right, your Porsche looks exactly like GT2 except some small stuff.
@@Atlan_tisglad to hear that the engine was covered 🥳🥳 definitely seems like the prior owner had a goal in mind for this thing being as close to a GT2 as he could 😅
@@Smeedia I will give an idea 💡 😁 please check where is Sami truck load scales in your area and do the weight check, I’m actually curious now if the weight of your car close to GT2. 👍🏻
That spoiler is sickkkkkkk!!!!!
I was shook when I saw its fully adjustable too 😅
Renton Mike here! Killer ride dude! But!!! It freaked out on dyno becuz its not 4wd anymore... duz that mean NO BURNOUTS??
On the road it’s not an issue, only really came up in the dyno. 😩
I'm pumped for this adventure
Going to be a fun one 🥳
@@Smeedia 😎😎
Def don't want to be at the top of the oil check. 2 bars below the top line is ideal on these.
Noted for next time 🫡🫡
Being a 996tt owner the algorithm suggested your channel. That evoms rear box + other associated mods make me think you'll be seeing around 550whp. It's a beast! Congrats.
@@ruuster13thank you! Been absolutely loving this thing and quickly becoming one of my favorite cars I’ve had 🥳
Maybe you should slap the front diff back in so it doesn’t kick out and make you feel it wants to kill you.
If I can find a diff and axles for a decent price I might pick em up 😅
This man is living our childhood fantasies
i’m boutta buy a white 22 wrx u traded in at a dealership along with a 23 blue wrx did you do anything to the white one to mess it up😜
Are actually buying them?! They dropped the prices in both already lol
The white one needs an alignment unless they did it but aside from that they’re both perfect 👌
@@Smeediai noticed the alignment imma get that fixed at the subaru dealership i work at, but im only buying the white one, or trying to😂
Eyyy keep me posted!!!!
Wonder why awd got deleted ? Was it wrecked or something
I guess it’s a fairly common thing that people do on these things
It saves about 100 lbs/45kg and some people like the 2wd experience better
Also the AWD system saps far more power from the engine compared to RWD. A RWD converted one will put around 10% more of its flywheel bhp to the wheels.
I think the last car I would add to this collection as the ultimate tuner would be an r35 gtr
Only if you were going for fun, would be missing a "family daily" if you have a family
I have some Dogs, they normally just hang out in the back seat though 😅 eventually I’d love to snag an R35 black edition
sick pc bro!
youre livin the dream, make that shit right!!👌👌
Thanks buddy 🥳🙌
I’ve always heard we should keep the oil level right in the middle of the range. You might want to research that a little. I’m sure you’re fine, but you never know
Couple techs told me to aim for 2 bars under full 😅 next time I’ll dial it back a hair lol
That front bumper depression is really getting to me lol. I hope there is a way to resolve that?
Front bumper depression?
@@Smeedia it looks sunken in at the very front and center. Possibly needs some rear support?
Would not call it a clone, GT2 has basically full GT3 suspension, bigger brakes, different clutch without slave, no TC, wider wheels, various engine improvements+++ Your car is definitively pretty close though 👍
remove the abs fuse and it should let u do dyno runs
I’m try this 👀
@@Smeedia yeah and if you cant find it unplug speed sensors lol
4 drain plugs ain't that bad, imagine changing oil on the veyron, that thing has 16 drain plugs!!
16?! Where tf the oil holding in that thing 😅
I guess the W16 and 4 turbos are always thirsty lol...😅
Yoo!! That 911 interior 😍👌🏽👌🏽!
Thing feels so comfy to sit in 😩😍
Cool to see some euro action!!!!
Excited to play with something a little different 🥳
“We’re going to dyno the car… [next 5 seconds] we can’t dyno the car” LMAO
Lmao I tired 😂
Did you know:
Porsche puts there ignition on the left side because back in the 30s-40s drivers would start on the left of their car with it off. Thus porsche drivers could start that car while entering.
Someone did tell me that, kinda cool that they kept with the theme of it 🙌
Measure the oil with the dipstick not the dashboard 👍🏻
There is no dipstick on the turbo 996
Like John said, there is no dipstick lol
Well I learned a thing. My 4S does have one
Front and rear wheels need to be traveling at the same speed or it will limp out on you.
I found that out 😅😅
I would just weld a fewcut outs into those exhaust pipes
That’s not a bad idea, but I’m already committed now 😂 plus I wanna swap to the G sport cats as they’re a bit more efficient
Damn man this is SO COOL I cant wait to own a 911 someday, subie daily/porsche race car 😂
Perfect combo, I’ve supposing seen a couple cheaper ones pop up with bad engines 😅
