So, the stars my destination, is basically count of Monte Cristo, but Tecno?
Lord of Light is an AMAZING book. One of my top 10, and probably top 3.
I was hooked by the opening paragraph, many years ago:
His followers called him Mahasamatman and said he was a god. He preferred to drop the Maha- and the -atman, and called himself Sam. He never claimed to be a god. But then, he never claimed not to be a god. Circumstances being what they were, neither admission could be of any benefit. Silence, though, could.
Top 1 for me, Zelazny also became my favourite author quite quickly in reading his works
This guy...
We’re never going to get WOW or A Dream of Spring! He left the show which ruined it so he could focus on the books. That was what 5-6 years ago now? And he’s written what 5 chapters? He goes to cons and celeb parties and is working on a bunch of shows.
I mean come on George we want the books! Stop reading and start writing! I just want someone to lock him in his house take away his TVs, his internet access and make him write lol.
I’ve read the books like 5-6 times each now and am reading through again because I love them but we need WOW at least!
He didn't leave the show to focus on the books. It is documented that the showrunners quite literally stopped taking his calls. It was their fault the show turned into what it became by specifically excluding george from the creation process
Go read all the books he reccomended in this video while you wait for the next asoiaf
