My wife grew up in nearby Ocean Falls, people there envied Bella Coola because there was a road out. We spent a week there in 2022 and did a day trip to Anaheim Lake, spectacular country.

The road in this condition is like the best ever......i went down this hill when it was still only single vehicle width wide and the odd widened parts to let people pass each other and if not one vehicle had to back up to the wide spot or the start of the switchback

My son took me on this trip in the summer of '21. It was amazing and so beautiful!

Well, yes it is steep, but not the whole way. I drove this road down and up on the same day, in the winter, rear wheel drive only and studded winter tires, no chains, no problems at all.

I ran this in the summer of 2019 pulling a 26 ft travel trailer (not 5th wheel) behind my 2018 F150 5.0
Good thing I had 4x4, had to use 2nd gear in low range to hold it going down the hills.
Spun out in 2wd trying to climb back out. Again 2nd gear low range 4x4 to get out as the transmission was getting too hot in high range.
Fun drive.

Just remember to gear down to save your brakes or you won't have any at the bottom. Otherwise a great drive.
