This seriously had to be one of the fastest albums in the world if not the fastest when it came out. This made everything that came before it look like pussies.
Absolutely love this EP, but not exactly the fastest my friend - this came out in '83 and by then Shitlickers had already done the seminal Cracked Cop Skulls. In 83, over in the US, Siege were writing Drop Dead and DRI had the Dirty Rotten EP. And let's not forget Youth Korps demo in '82. Also in '82 we had Neos "Hassibah Gets The Martian Brain Squeeze" - they were playing so fast in '79, '80 and '81 that they literally influenced DRI and Deep Wound. Of course, no list of early 80s speed would be complete without VOID. That's all to say, god damn I love the fast bands of the world in the early 80s. These guys played with a level of speed and heaviness that was quite literally never-before-heard or even imagined. All of it doesn't get nearly enough appreciation for how it influenced all that came after it.
@@iannelli2448 I would Say probably Neos because they were completely missing from my radars! But Also remembering of shitlickers was absloutely the thing I needed today! Thank you again!

Notice the price; 10 kr. When I was 15 and bought this record in 1982, 10 kr was just a buck or something like 50 British cent over here in Sweden. Today, a Swedish Volvo worker has to work 2.79 hours in order to earn 10 kr.
In Sweden they are cult. I once thought they were viewed in that way only over here, then I found out many Americans, Germans, Brits and even Indians and so on love 'em just as much as we Swedes do. I couldn't live without Bach, Beethoven and Mozart - and punk.
This isn't a mix between Death Metal and hardcore punk. This is crust punk but it did have a huge influence on the swedish death metal scene where this band is from
