I love the Azelaic 10% serum! I'm sensitive to pure azelaic acid (causes intense itching) and Naturium's serum uses a strong percentage of the more gentle Potassium Azeloyl Diglycinate (PAD) derivative that doesn't irritate my skin.

Can you do a routine for extremely dry skin with psoriasis around the eyelids and lips please? So far nothing seems to be working for me and I’ve been struggling for a long time🥲💔

    • @akshara.s
      @akshara.s Рік тому +2

hi! i'm no expert at skincare, and i've recently started experimenting with stuff. Usually if you have psoriasis around your eyelids, it could be caused by stress, throat infections, allergies, weather conditions, etc. and there are ways to treat it:
      - Use cool water to soothe your skin
      - Use products for your skin that are like, sensitive cleansers/ cleaning products.
      - AVOID HOT WATER! it can be very very irritating for your skin:(
      - *Try* using a heavy cream? i've heard petroleum jelly or any other heavy moisturizer helps absorb water into your skin and it can reduce the redness!
      - Get a lil sunlight for maybe 5 to 10 mins a day, but not more than that.
      - Do meditation/yoga for atleast 15 or 10 mins a day [i mean, if you wanna]
      - Use aloe vera gel/cream! it's anti-inflamming and helps with your red patches :D
There is no proven evidence that tablets help with psoriasis, so steer clear of that haha
      Next, dry skin
This is a very common situation for many people so im gonna give you a LOT of tips and you can choose what you like:))
*if your looking for a skincare routine for dry skin with skincare products, this one's for you:*
      _MORNING ROUTINE_
      1) start off with a non-foaming cleanser which works best for you
      2) I would suggest that you use vitamin C serum next? not too sure about that because i've heard it gives you an extra surge of moisture and all that
      3) next, MOISTURIZER ufff you really need one if you have dry skin like mee loll. Do your research and find a good and affordable one. I really recommend this one if you want, my friend really stepped up her game with this: www.neutrogena.com/products/skincare/neutrogena-hydro-boost-water-gel-with-hyaluronic-acid-for-dry-skin/6811047.html try it out!
      4) of course you need SPF? gurl invest in a good one because its gonna change your life!
      _NIGHT ROUTINE_
      1) Use a cleansing balm, you dont wanna sleep with a million bacteria and germs partying on your face
      2) Hydrating cleanser really soothes your skin! again, do your research and find out which one you'd like
      3) Try hyaluronic acid (idk the spelling lol) it is the best hydrating element:)
      4) and again, moisturizer
      5) this is totally optional, but you can also use face oils before you sleep!
*if your looking for more natural treatments, try searching ayurvedic treatments for your skin! most of them are really useful. I'm going to give y'all some more tips for natural stuff*
      - Avoid hot water~
      - avoid any product with alcohol!
      - keep on hydrating your skin, whether am or pm.
Hope this helps! and you can follow the ones which you find are easier and works with you

@@akshara.s oh my god thanks for the tips🙏🏼 I’ve been using aloe vera gel and a moisturizer for very dry skin and all that and it’s been working great actually. I think stress is definitely a cause for my psoriasis to flare, but now I’m trying to just relax and not worry about every little detail lol. Also, I do try to avoid too much heat (like hot water or staying in the sun for too long) but I live in Kuwait so heat is always there but I’m trying to minimize my exposure to it :)

I just got their cleansing balm and I like it a lot. I’ve always using oils to do the same thing as cleansing balm but thought I would give the balm a try. My skin is so sensitive that even lightly wiping my face with a soft washcloth will cause redness and flushing. I’m trying to just use my finger and hands to wash and avoid any scrubbing like effect to avoid flushing.

Naturium also has a cleansing oil that I love. it’s not really an oil it has some thickness to it. It comes in a tube and squeezes out. It’s like a balm that you don’t have to warm up in your hands first. I have acne prone sensitive skin so I have to wash balms and oils off with soap still or I’ll break out. I don’t use towels. The soap is emough to remove balm and oil. I use non stripping soaps my favorite right now is inky list fulvic acid face wash. don’t let the word acid scare you it’s a really gentle wash . If your in need of a super gentle cleanser Krave beauty’s has their Matcha cleanser. It’s hard having sensitive skin good luck.

What skincare are teens like 17 y/os supposed to use like is it okay to use ceramides? Our skin naturally produces it already and google said you should start using ceramides in your mid to late twenties. Also I've been using 10% niacinamide serum for like a year now and recently found out that's too much concentration and can irritate the skim so I'm guessing it's especially not good for teen skin. Should I, being this young use all these chemical actives and stuff? If yes, then which ones are safe and don't mess with young sensitive skin and in what concentrations should we be using them?

I’m in desperate need of help, I have frequent breakouts all over my face but they go away pretty quick, I have minimal blackheads and whiteheads on my nose and chin area. I started slowly incorporating some new skincare after researching to try and clear my skin up. My current routine is
    1. Elf holy hydration makeup melter
    2. Panoxyl face wash
    3. Paula’s choice salicylic acid bha and aha toner
    3. Paula’s choice niacinamide serum
    4. La roche posay breakout treatment cream (only on breakouts)
    5. Hydro boost gel moisturizer
I’ve been using this routine for a few days now and it has made my skin noticeably clearer however it stings and burns and even makes my skin break out in what seems to be hives, for a little background I’m allergic to polyester so I wasn’t sure if it was that, after double checking all my pillows and blankets and washing my silk pillow cases and sheets I can’t figure out why my skin is doing this. I’m also not to sure my skin type, it can be oily but can also be sensitive, I always try to take the best possible care of my skin but it has never done this before, I also have eczema and I’m not sure it it has something to do with that, PLEASE HELPPPPP

You need to use way less. Go back to the basics.
      Moisturizer
      Cleanser
      SPF
I have dry skin, but I also reacted when using a ton of actives. Especially PC toner. It’s great, but constant use destroyed my skin barrier. So do cleansers with actives in them. If you’re using all those things in one go, you need to stop. Stop mixing actives together.
      Here’s what I do -
Micellar water (still looking for a balm to use)
      Cerave hydrating face wash
First aid beauty hydrating toner (this REALLY helped me w/ inflamed skin, and it’s lightweight)
      Cerave PM moisturizer
Still testing SPF’s, but trying out Beauty of Joseon’s right now
I’d look for a new cleanser (possibly Neutrgena’s hydro boost cleaner, which I’m also currently trying out). You can still use panoxyl’s, but maybe just 1-2 times a week. Use the PC toner 2 times a week max. I don’t have advice on the serum because I don’t know enough about it, but niacinamide can be irritating to many (so be aware maybe your skin doesn’t like that ingredient).
Use the breakout cream only on nights you don’t use the panoxyl cleanser or PC toner (and don’t use that cleanser and toner together either). DO NOT MIX ACTIVES. Learn from me - seriously.
You just need to cut back. You’re using wayyyyy too much. Give your skin a break. I used to do the same thing.
Also, make sure your skin isn’t stripped. Maybe you’re damaging your skin barrier by doing all that. HYDRATE. Even oily skin needs hydration - especially if you compromised your skin barrier.
I’ve learned less is more. Cut back on them actives.

You should not use Benzoyl Peroxide (Panoxyl cleanser) and exfoliating ingredients (AHA/BHA) together. As a comment above said, for some time, try to go back to basics - stop using actives and try focusing on calming your skin by using products with soothing ingredients

    • @flowerseva
      @flowerseva Місяць тому

Slow and low. The skin will
produce more oil, if irritated, in order to normalize and balance, the pH.Again, lower the actives, introduce one product a week Slowly. Then you will know if that one product is the irritant. Also, lower intake of 🌶️ spicy hot foods, and look a food sensitivities: namely wheat, corn, milk products, soy. Consider an “Elimination Diet” ( google it ) of these 4 food types for 3 weeks. Then introduce one of these foods and watch for reactions ( clearing throat, gas bloating, skin issues. Get clean for another 3 days on Elimination Diet, and repeat with another new food of the 4 listed. Etc

Have people forgot about the integrity about how this whole brand got started? SMH There are way better products on the market.
