Yep, that was our talented nickle, Gilbeau, that was so excited about the pick he forgot to turn around and block Lucky to allow Barron a free sideline for the pick six.
I was yelling at the screen, “Block, Block, Block” but it didn’t happen.
Great situational awareness from Lucky! 👏👏👏

Gunner should have thrown that ball a lot higher. Way to low for an out of bounds throw. Could have just kicked a field goal and ended it.

13:50 BROOOOOOO!!!! You need to give a shout out to Nate Frazier on this play!!! He took on a 315 pounder to open this up for Stockton to run... Holy God almighty Nate... That's BIG BOY BALL right there!!!
36:40 Ben Yurosek is probably the worst blocker on this Georgia team.. There's at least 2-5 plays a game where you wonder what the heck he is doing as a blocker. On this play, he already HAS the outside shoulder. Stick that left should into his pads at least to give Stockton a chance to get past him. I'm flabbergasted at him hitting the left side of the defender. It's like he didn't know the play.

Hey Brooks, Thanks for the Film Breakdown. I’m really excited about our Run Game potential with Gunner at QB. We’ve needed this as an offense frankly and get back to some old school Georgia football. Seeing us run the ball as effectively as we did on this elite Texas defense in the 2nd half gives me confidence we can run the ball on anybody. I really want to know what this offense looks like with Bobo given 3 weeks to prepare for Gunner and our guys rested and healed up.

This gunner Stockton breakdown shows me in detail and reminds me just WHY. I was not really excited about Carson Beck, deciding to stay and then he became QB1. I fully believe that a QB that is a legitimate threat in the run game makes the offense far better! I happen to believe that Georgia is more dangerous right now going into the CFP than they were ever going to be with Carson. gunner simply makes our line and RBss better and reduces the exposure/use of our WRs to our benefit.

Thank you so much brooks for this breakdown now I know for a fact ik what I’m talking about, everyone keeps telling me give gunner a chance and to be real I don’t have a choice because Kirby is clue when it comes to picking the right QB but when I was watching the game I saw live how this man was missing wide open guys like man that’s the difference between a average and Elite QB, he’s been in college years and can’t hit an open Wr or at least see it and be on time with the ball if he does not clean that up it’s going to cost us gotta be on time I knew I wasn’t tripping

On the second and 12, (35:39) the check down was the correct read. The reason is; if you miss the TE wheel, you’re in 3rd and long.
The check down gets you into a manageable 3rd and 3 off a 9 yard gain after a 2 yard loss on 1st down. Coach Bobo can always come back to the wheel later in a more manageable down and distance.
“I’ll take 3 yards in the flat because it forces a defender to make a basic play. If your guy can make him miss it’s a 7 or 8 yard gain.” - Joe Montana 1993 Beckett Tribute

28:20 #69 held Texas LB #0 Anthony Hill during the play, refs didn't call it. That's why Etienne makes the corner clean. It would be 7 yards normally (if the lineman doesn't hold) or -10 yards instead of +60 if the refs called holding equally during the game.

25 completions for just 206 yards through 13 games. 1 interception in 32 throws.
We don't have a large sample on Gunner Stockton (6-feet, 215 pounds).
He's a gamer.....that we know for 100% sure, as evidenced from the game winning first down run in overtime.
Can he operate the vertical passing game? We'll find out soon. That's for sure.

Just noticed on the FIB concept you point out that UGA was in an odd front with the OL. They actually had Truss lined up like a TE on the left side with 84 lined up as the RT. Wonder if they do that to try and trick Texas into guessing run based on alignment.

  • @neverfalter6702
    @neverfalter6702 Місяць тому +1

I think it was funny some people were saying because UGA lost the starting quarterback they shouldn’t be in the playoffs. It isn’t like Stockton was playing in middle school last year. He’s a 4 or 5 star. He’s probably better than half the quarterbacks playing currently.

29:18 I'll venture that that was a game saving (for the time being at least) tackle there. If ETN houses that thing it's an explosive TD to make it 17-6, and there's blood in the water. Instead they hold the Dawgs to 3 and keep it a 1 score game
