@gslichttechniek2 I've never had the chance to use any of the MA ranges. But I'm racking my brains as to how I would program the effect at 0:36 on a Chamsys console. If I ever figure it out I may have to borrow the idea :) Not having a console in front of me I don't have the chance to think it through properly, hmmm maybe tomorrow...
Timecoded? Really like the effect you created with the led movers at the back at 0:36 and 1:16. Mac 101s?
@tomthelampy I don't know chamsys that well, but I'm quite sure its possible with chamsys. For the MA its: pan effect divided in 4 groups and dim effect also divided in 4 groups. Both same speed and make the dim effect quite narrow. Play a little with the size and starting point.
Hey! Been trying to do that effect for a while now and not having much luck; but I'm so close. I've set the effect rate for both dim and pan at .5 and 4 groups. I'm trying the swing waveform on both as well. Not quite seeing the same effect. I'm on MA by the way. Any thoughts?
did you use any LED's? Also did you use par cans w\ DMX?
sorry about the spelling guys
That made me really happy. Thank you for posting this.
@gslichttechniek2 That was my thoughts. I just haven't combined those two effects with any real success. Maybe perseverance is key. Mind you last time i gave it a go I was in a major rush. Next gig should be more laid back :) Have you tried the Robe LED 300s?
@tomthelampy Lol, the video is up for only an our or something, din't took the time jet to write a description. You ll find the answer there. Thx for your positive vote.

Hi gslichttechniek2
I'm a professor of lighting here in las vegas and I show your video excellent job
can you send me the blue print and the show file of this I will love to use this to teach my students the amazing things that you do thank you very much
@tastim5 Less is more :), check my other account 'gslichttechniek', there are shows where I also use the other lights.
@tomthelampy I guess this effect combines a dimmer effect and pan effect, but IIRC chamsys do not have as advanced effect options as GrandMA2. I tried GrandMA2 ON PC and its interestning thing, i tried chamsys on PC and its not as nice... I tried effects on GrandMA 2 PC and it offers a lot of customization, you can specify many values.
Check my other account 'gslichttechniek' and yes they should :p.
Martin should pay you ! Amazing work...Maybe you can post and real jobs of yours?
POR FAVOR!! ESTAS TOTALMENTE LOCO!! ES UN ESPECTACULO LO QUE HACES CON LAS LUCES!!!
@tomthelampy you can download GrandMA on pc (and a 3d visualiser) for free on MA lighting website. Perfect for learning how Grand MA desks work!
as invested in head phones? everything is controlled by DMX controller?
Have you worked on Qlimax, or a any over the other large events? You definately should. Love your work!
Nice lighting! How many playbacks was that?? So awesome. Can you tell me the difference of Chamsys and grandMA? Are they just the same?
could you please do a video of all your lights and there setup?
alweer mooie show ! mag ik vragen wat er aan licht hangt ?
At 35 seconds, what "Form" did you use for the PAN and DIM parameter?
What are you using to film the shows?
wow! Now only live band is missing! :P
if you dont mind, can you tell me how to make a circle at time 01.42..because it's really amazing and i am new at grandMA2...thank you
+dimas wicaksono There are several ways to do this, I do not know how they did it but the way I prefer to do this is to use a cosinus on the pan and on the tilt, then it is just a matter of messing around with the phase and you have to decrease the width on the tilt so that you get a "flat line" at the
bottom in stead of a full circle. of course you have to adjust the low and high values for both the pan and the tilt.
If you also want the dimmer effect, just add a dimmer to the effect and use for example a sine form and again play with the phase and width.
and for the color you just add a color effect to the effect and mess around with the form, low, high, phase and width for both a colorwheel and any kind of colormix.
for all the effect lines i recommened using a speed fader in stead of the speed in the effects themselves. this way you get more control over your effects when improvising.
hope to have helped you
Daar kunnen nog heel veel mensen wat van leren! Applaus
