I spent a couple of years working for a civilian boat yard, than (after joining the service) another year working for a USN boatyard (rebuilding a guided missile destroyers small craft while she was in the ship-yard for an overhaul). Man has been working on boats since Eve didn't want to get her feet wet crossing a puddle, and there is ALWAYS someone who is coming up with a new idea... I am fascinated just to see what happens!
The shaft log at this point can be manoeuvred in such a small length if using a tube and expoxie to afix it , you problem is based on prop size what speed you want the hull an rpm to do then the rest is wood work
He’s very cocky but I will say his ability to turn his hand to things is admirable however I’m shocked that he has epoxied the hull and Tom had nothing to say about that. This boat has very little time left if water gets between the wood and epoxy. The motor and batteries will end up in that garage eventually.
this guy looks like a genius , i hope he get the boat working

One of the best things about the Boat Yard is the characters.
It certainly different in everyway.

Very interested in this project. Hope it goes well.
interesting project once again... i cant believe you only have 8.5k subscribers keep up the good work
Not quite clear as to why this chap involved you in his project at all, since he seems to have all the answers already....
Electrical engineer with upmost confidence in his abilities to also practice nautical engineering. *grabs popcorn*
and Tom never asked how this was going to be powered......what batteries.
Haha Tom really dislikes this bloke
Now I'm going to watch it.
He really thinks he cocky! And he is cocky!

Seems the kids didn’t inherit the fixit gene.......
Dig it, 1st!
I don’t think Tom likes this man as much as the others lol. This guy is cocky! Tom does not like it.
That guy is so cocky but then engineers a special tool and nearly vibrates himself out of the boat.
01:17 That hole's off centre bro.
I think he paid too much, very poor condition, and to go electric, when you could go sail, its that commute that makes the man, cut off once too many.
