I honestly believe that if all humanity had the chance to witness the milky way in person every night, we wouldn't be as humanless as we are today. So insignificant all of our problems. We have lost our way. First time i ever witnessed it at Cloudcroft, New Mexico, it changed my entire perspective. Literally life changing.
HDMScorp it’s very nice there
perfectly put! Only by watching the video made me question the trivial things that I'm concerned every day.
the most impressive thing in the universe,is the universe itself.
Jamokai I like that
Yep
True 😲
Fact
We 2 are a universe in ourselves
✨
I need to see the milky way's arn in the sky. Thats the one thing i need to see before i die.
You can see it if you are in an area that is far from bright lights and is pure dark and have clear nightsky.
same
The last time I saw it i was 14 and my friends and I were camping and I showed my friends dad seeing the awe on his face was wonderful, my dad always showed us the stars and how recognise the constellations. Please for your benefit go out without light pollution and when the moon is down, you won't regret it 🙂
Same
Arn?
Depression and illness I have had almost all my life and still have. However the world is a beautiful place, beaches, woodlands, rivers, oceans, wildlife - its a paradise. I have started to be grateful instead of angry and depressed. And now seeing this video it brings tears to my eyes but at the same time it brings questions and confusion. What are we and why are we here?
On a sphere we spin in an empty dark ocean of nothingness,
Surrounded by spheres, designed and placed by the great architects of the universe.
What ever happens, all I can say with all my heart - Thank you for everything.
This is exactly why I love astronomy, it's so interesting!
I used to just picture the sky as if it was 2D, but after seeing this, it helped me see into our galaxy, and get a sense of depth. It felt more than just a black wall of stars. It was like I could see the earth revolving through our universe, and I could just jump out into the night sky and visit the other stars. It was mind blowing.
i feel you man
True strory..🙄
This proofs we don't live on a spinning ball
Same here, changed my whole perspective
Well Bro, I used to think the very same type of things myself. But as I began to study the Milky Way, I found that things are not what they seem to be, and I am able myself, just as you too are, to realize that ideas we grew up with need to be recalculated. I have your proof. Look above your letter here to MINE, at the "VLT HD TIME LAPSE video on youtube. Rewatch it, rethink it this month. then tell me what you've discovered about your own mind, and this universe we live under. For examples: the sun apparently lights the Milky Way up in the mornings if the moon isnt around to do it. That hints that the sun is under the dome-Firmament (AKA the "milky way") lighting it up at sunrise. Also, the sun follows a path which seems to be at a wildly awkward angle to the directions followed by the Milky Way, and if the sun and Milky Way were soo very far away from us, then we would see the sun and said "milky way" travelling together across the sky, rather than at different angles, and different locations in the sky. We know the stars are supposed to be "moving" through space, but not in 24 hour cycles like this. This can only happen underneath a dome, splattered embedded with stars, and a (much smaller than speculated) sun-ball that travels around inside the dome, as told in Psalms 19, and described in other parts of God's Book. So, as difficult as it seemed at first, I began to admit the truth, and embrace a new reality, that the earth is as flat as it was in Columbus's time. But now we know that it has a dome over our lands, , and it's expansive land mass is infinite, and unknown for now. Our own Navy discovered this in 1947, and 8 years later, decided to bury the story, along with the Admiral who told of it's discovery.
Why fight wars when you can go into a field with your friends and enjoy the night sky?
Because my friends aren't interested in that stuff :(
***** Maybe you need better friends then =)
Sarah Szabo That may be a solution, but not currently achievable. I guess I have to go star gazing by myself :P
***** Check for a local astronomy group. I found an observatory near me, they're great!
Sarah Szabo I live in a town with 1000 people, as much as I wish there would be there wouldn't be :(
I have become addicted on the sights and sounds of time lapse night photography coupled with wonderful music. An audio visual trip into the heavens. True art in one of its purest forums. To be born at the right time to take advantage of this. It really helps me so very much to help manage my pain. Thank you very much. I look forward to more of your work. Please never stop. wc/john
we're humbled!. it's an honor!.
I get goosebumps everytime! Well said ^^
I just wish my eyes could work like telescopes lol
That would be amazing
I wish my eyes could work like telescope too. I really want to see more. If the aliens exist too. Want to see how they live and what is their behavior. etc etc. lok
Technically your eyes do work like telescopes. You just can't see what's pictured in the video thanks to light pollution. Get to a dark place miles away from any light and you too can see what the telescopes see.
Oh my God how and when dod people become so stupid?!!!
yuki ari I want my eyes to work like a normally lol
This was the perfect song to use. Years later even when I listen to this song I picture these images
Still true a year later haha
Still holds up.
Seeing this makes all of my problems nothing compared to what's beyond the world and everything else
2:16 THE BEAUTIFUL ANDROMEDA. I'm speechless... Beautiful.
This is one of the most beautiful things I've ever watched.
This video made tears roll down my face. The footage of our beautiful galaxy with the music.. amazing. It makes me feel so small.
show me a band lil man
I must have watched this video over 10 times now and it never gets any less amazing. lately this has been my happy place.
And that's the reason I would LOVE to go into space. You'd get this sort of view WITHOUT the atmosphere blocking a fair bit of it out. It would be absolutely stunning.
do a money spread lil bro
2:18 between the two right side telescopes you can see andromeda
I can't think Of a name heyy I saw it
are you sure? is that accurate?
Scary that it is so close
@@gabrielc6252 I highly believe it I because Andromeda Galaxy is one of the biggest and closet galaxies to us. We are also doomed to collide with Andromeda in like few hundred million years.
Its should be milky way, we are at the edge of milky way so we can see the rest...
second scariest thing in my life was realizing my existence and knowing I can't do anything to stop death. Waking up every morning feeling, you know? happy to see another day but also scared of what it might hold for me. This video has got me thinking... maybe everything isn't all that bad...
Death is just another frontier to explore, friend. Greet it with open arms, and stop fearing that which claims everyone and everything. Death is as natural as life.
That worrying is called anxiety. Nothing can really harm your soul. Energy is a transfer. It doesn't just disappear
I know that death may be scary, but it is hopeful to think that we may be turn into stardust again
2:42 - Grand Moff Tarkin: "You may fire when ready!"
I can't remember if I had commented on this video before. I know I first saw it several years ago now and since then have come back to watch it every so often. Very well done.
absolutely blown away by this video ,beauty on an unimaginable scale ,
Such a beautiful video.
Spectacular video. (*_*)
Katharina F. The heavens declare the glory of God. (*_*)
Happy New Year Katharina.
Thank you for posting Psalm 19.
It is one of the most beautiful Psalms I know.
It describes God's creation so perfectly .
The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy,
making wise the simple.
Kind regards.
Liz. xo
an amazing video...
Very very beautiful....I wish one day everyone can visit space and enjoy the views out there....
Space doesn't actually look like that.. well at least not in orbit. You'd have to go to deep space to maybe see that but no human ever has. The atmosphere does an outstanding job at altering the light coming through it.
Nice name.
This is one of my biggest dreams ever! looks so beautiful!
This is one of the greatest things I've ever seen. I could watch it forever. P.S. to everyone asking, the music is "We Happy Few" by the Calm Blue Sea, it says it right under the video...
THE single most humbling piece of footage I've seen... It truly makes one feel small and insignificant, yet fortunate enough to be able to observe the splendor that is the universe around us (even if It is via time-lapse and/or in the non-observable spectrum).... Inspiring,to say the least....
this is true beauty

My dream is to see the milky way very clearly just like this video. I have never looked up and saw anything close to the beauty of the milky way. I know it is caused by the light pollution if you live in a city but there is not one place where I can find a good spot for me to observe this
Mister Eman yeah forget about that, I live in Belgium, no fucking desserts here lol.
SlurpmyButt THERES ALLL KINDZZZZ OF SPOTS YEAHHHH
SlurpmyButt Just go to a mountain in Belgium.
Go to Croatia :-D
SlurpmyButt You won't see the milky way in this detail. Camera picks up much more light than the human eye does. It would look like a grey cloud, or just greyscale a screenshot and boom that is what it would look like. Sorry, but you can't see the color.
The sky in that southern hemisphere sure is a beauty! Great video!
My older brother showed me this ages ago, came across my mind today and wow. It's just as amazing as I remembered! Great job my friend, amazing stuff!
Earth: "Don't mind me, just spinning and flying through infinite space."
Humans: "Don't mind us, we're just here snapping pictures of the Universe from our convertible space ship :)"
This video makes me feel like I'm moving, its weird how it does not feel how we are not spinning.
Sean Motsch it’s because we are not moving... research flat earth!!!
@@andrehughes4344 flat Earth is so fucking stupid. If the Earth is flat why the hell aren't the other planets flat? It makes no fucking sense.
@@lisarhodes3206 your logic is more stupid
@@andrehughes4344 If the earth was flat, physics would be broken. And you think you are smarter than the scientist who discovered physics?
i really want to fly and discover the universe! imagine that you could fly and youll see the colorful clouds out there, i really wish that humanity could invent some spaceship that can fly across the universe
We have and we can, it just doesn't work how you think it would. The ship is powered by dimethyltryptamine and with it you can experience the true nature of the cosmos without your physical body leaving the planet.I know that sounds like some far out hippy shit but it's true, we could never explore the universe with rockets and spaceships, the vastness is unthinkable, we can however experience the universe in all it's wonder through what some call the spirt realm. the connection is real, we've just lost contact with our true nature but when you really think about it, we're all here, on this planet somehow flying through "space" in an expanding universe, is it really that unthinkable that there's more to reality than we are aware of?
+Big Rick how can we actually go there spiritually if u know of such meditation I would love to know
We can yes, but I've never reached the plains through meditation alone, ayahuasca\dmt can take you there though. If you have the ability I recommend going to Peru to one of their healing centres and having a Shaman help guide you through the experience , it really is life altering.
One thing though is you must be prepared, before you can go on the outward journey the spirt realm will make you come to grips with your inner world, which can sometimes be unpleasant but is necessary for you to be healed spiritually. Once they have determined you have faced the internal truth and have become aware of the connection we share with all living things, they will guide you through the universal truths and open your eyes for what feels like the first time.
Like I said, it sounds a little crazy, I know it does, but I also know it's real.
I highly recommend you watch the documentary "Stepping into the fire" it's right here on UA-cam and will educate you better than I ever could here, trust me, it's worth the time if you're interested at all
Also, your name, Oxy gen, is that it reference to the narcotic? the reason I ask is the not only can ayahuasca heal you spiritually, but it can take away addition to narcotics, many long-term heroine users have been cured thanks to the healing properties of the scared plants, it really is amazing, but don't take my word for it, look it up and find the truth for yourself
Dimethyltryptamine confuses your brain and causes it to fabricate a reality while rendering you unconscious. You don't leave your body. That's physically impossible.
i find myself coming back to watch this video on a daily basis, and every single time, it takes my breath away.
Muy buen video Nico, el mejor video de youtube por lejos, todas las visitas deben ser mias
Fantástico!
It was incredibly awesome but I am a bit confused...How did you make the stars visible during the day ? I am very curious about it!
that was the Moon light
Nishad Khadse research flat earth....
@@andrehughes4344 are you fucking stupid? Go into fucking space and look at the earth.
It's crazy to sit back and actually realize that we live on a ball in space.. As much as we don't think of this I see it as a good thing because each time that we ever so often do, it is just amazing to imagine how we live on a floating ball.. Amazing..
These machines are incredible. They serve human curiosity and thirst for knowledge and not the greed of the few. Fundamental research is absolutely awesome.
I find it hard to describe how I feel when watching this video. Amazing is an understatement... My mind blows everytime I watch that first one.. The contrast with the pitch black mountains make the sky blow up.. Speechless
For some reason I find the name of this telescope very amusing
Daniel Qi Probably because it's a bit ironic. In the grand scope of the space it's observing it's not "very large" at all.
Daniel Qi Yeah, the VLT is also know as the BFOT, or "big fuck off telescope"
I'm in an argument with a flat earther who says this is all cgi and that stars don't actually move like this.
Toby-Z tell him to go outside. Simple
Tell them not to have children / not piss in the gene pool
The line of longitude at 2:43 made them suspicious when they couldn't see it in the sky outside...
how can you take a pictures in daylight. 6:14 to 6:23
Tùng Trần Thanh Clean atmosphere, without smog and air pollution, and 2600 meters high above sea level.
thanks you
Piotr Napora but i see the milkyway with the sun
Tùng Trần Thanh One of the authors of the film is Stéphane Guisard. See at the bottom of her page: sguisard.astrosurf.com/Pagim/P164-P169.html
On the photo you can see the sun and the stars at the same time - it's true.
You need to go to Chile to see the stars with your own eyes. I wish you that.
you can't take shots in daylight. what it seems like daylight its actually moonlight.
Stunning. It's a pity where I live we barely see a star in the sky at night. Gah, feeling that wanderlust acting up again. :-(
This has got to be one of the most amazing videos on UA-cam.
I felt connected with the universe imediatelly, just by watching this
WOW

We are on a rock flying through a universe full of billions of stars, countless nebula, black holes and things that can destroy our planet without hassle. I LOVE IT
Keivn Bryson I suppose it may actually be Sirius, the brightest star in our (Earth's) sky.
Keivn Bryson I suppose it may actually be Sirius, the brightest star in our (Earth's) sky.
Bordeaux Kisses Did you mean to reply to KarlyKom?
+Keivn Bryson Because of God, isn't he great ;)
You are assuming we are flying through the universe!
It's ok tho.... this had been pounded into our heads since kids!
You believe this because this is what they wanted us to believe!
We can't measure to earth moving! We can only calculate it..... and measuring and calculating isn't the same..... measuring is the experiment in science!
We have not be taught or even get to consider those experiments!
The earth can't be moving and at the same time not moving! One or the other!
Every knee shall bow and every tongue confess Jesus Christ is Lord!
I discovered this video from our physics teacher in high school. He had shown it to us 11 years ago...I just saw it again 😊
I've seen this video a bazillion times before. But some sort of strong force pulls me back to it at least once every month...so I rewatch it lol
Great video one of the best out there:)
you can see the earth rotation
No you can not, the camera is moving.
no chemtrails there!!
🙄
How great is our God.
+Minahasa Tribesman Well your god says the Earth is flat, the sun is tiny and the stars are little things that one day will rain down on us and burn us.
+King Kazma lol god destroyed
+King Kazma God bless you, have a good day. :)
Minahasa Tribesman
God bless you too, as I do believe there is something out there just not what we are thought and preached about.

Jehova and thats because you dont read the Bible my friend, I have.
I honestly don't understand how someone can dislike this video. It's awing and beautiful (:
How majestic , I am in awe . Since my early teens , the magic of seeing the night sky has never left me realising what a playground I live in .. I think if we all looked at this more often we would realise how wasteful and petty our focus on power and differences are .
btw perfect music ...
Watching this and actually thinking that we are the ones spinning makes me want to throw up. At least it'll be a peaceful throw up if I'm watching. Ha
same here. it's like we are floating around
@@BlenderInGame no, it's like we're standing still and the sky is moving.
God created Heaven & Earth, His works are Great!
True
God didn't create Earth. The Big Bang did, buddy. This is the art of science.
don't reply to the non-scientific people. what you just said will NOT change their beliefs nor will it make any impact on anything whatsoever, thereby rendering your comment virtually pointless. don't say pointless things, it's really non-scientific.
not saying that you're wrong, just that it's a beautiful video, lets try to not have any arguments. if they wanna believe god made the earth then so be it.
God did it: Someone had no beginning
Big Bang did it: Nothing exploded
Either way, it's beyond our comprehension. Just watching the video and thinking about the vastness of it all is enough for this brain.
Devil>god
I don't see any satellites.... What the fuckkkk hahahahahahahahahahahahaha
+Ralf Nuggs same, wheres all the space junk?
+tashira lebron By the height they look like stars dots to us.
+Ralf Nuggs You can see hundreds in this video. I counted at least 10 between 1:27 and 1:38. You probably think these were just the meteors you see flash by. Meteors are too brief to be on more than one frame.
+poopytowncat those look like planes and shooting stars but I guess it could pass as anything. It could be UFOS or lightning, it could be spirits! IT COULD BE GOD
+Ralf Nuggs Shooting stars would not show up on more than one frame. Planes would last longer and I highly doubt there will be any planes in that area. Lot of other clues, N S direction of many satellites. Times when you see the satellites. etc. Pretty much no chance it's anything else. Sorry if you don't believe in satellites.
Absolutely amazing. I hope to make the trip to Chile to see this firsthand one day. The Keck and VLT are a testament to modern astronomy! Until then I'll continue to make my videos here in WI, but someday....
This is the best star timelapse ever, great job man , really appreciae it
Fake! Went to look outside , didn't see this
I am sure that you are living in the big city so that's why you can't see it.
it's timelapse
*Woosh* Sarcasm flew right over your head.
let me guess you're under the age of 17
Try Night time Justin.... smh
Absolutely breathtaking! It'd be something to get to see the sky from there.
Still one of my favorite UA-cam videos of all time.
No words. Night, mother earth, the cosmos, stars, moon, galaxies, . . What an aweful moments
This needs an 8K version
It's so beautiful that I'm speachless!FANTASTIC!!!!
Amazing Sky Scenes in this Time Lapse and the shots of the Telescope moving around are very Cool! Very Nicely Done!
I have seen a fair amount of night sky time lapses, but I think that might be the first time I really had the sensation that we are moving through space all the time ! trully awesome
I hear that if you watch this video over and over in full screen for an hour straight, your mind and sanity breaks down at the sudden realization that no matter how great or awesome you are, you're less than a speck of dirt compared to all those stars and galaxies in the night sky.
Just beautiful...I've never seen a sky even close to that!
Star gazing makes me feel like opportunities are endless and that we are apart of something so much vast than we can comprehend. Most beautiful thing I've ever seen.
This is the best video to watch on salvia ever. Every person should experience this video after taking a hit.
This is my absolute favorite video on youtube.
the most amazing video i’ve ever seen, absolutely mindblowing! This is what humanity should work on - the Billions of stars and galaxys out there !
Wonderful!
This is one of the most impressive things ever.
The laser is used as an artificial star for the adaptive optics (AO) system to use. The atmosphere has thermal currents, moisture, etc. that distorts the light from the sky, we call that 'seeing'. Normally the 'seeing limited' image, the max resolution we can get, is about 1 arcsecond. AO uses a wavefront sensor to measure the distortion of the laser star, and it sends signals to a deformable mirror that corrects for the atmospheric turbulence, allowing resolutions around 0.1 arcseconds.
This video is just fantastic, I can't stop watching it.
I cried with thousands tears dripping through cheeks.. I love you, you made my day :,)
This video never gets old
One of the most relaxing things I've ever watched!
This video makes me depressed. in a good way though.
its so beautiful. astronomers at work. the Universe unraveling in front of our eyes, always there, moving nonstop.
we are so lost in our day to day life, caring so much for so little... we forget to look up and wonder.
thank you to the person who took time to shoot this and put this together.
Yep! Best thing about them is that the baseline light source the provide allows the adaptive optics to cancel out the atmospheric blur inherent in looking at anything from down here on our little chunk of rock. Suddenly, the blobs we saw not even ten years ago are suddenly super sharp and full of stars.
As a person who loves to study ancient Andean cultures, watching this helps me understand why they had dark cloud constellations rather than the constellations we're used to. Can you imagine picking the stars of Orion out of that? So the dark patches became their mythic constellations. Amazing stuff.
Tellement beau ... merci de partager cela avec nous. 😊
Mind blowing amygdala forward clicking for sure! Recommended to listen in surround sound and full screen HD.
Thanks for sharing the video with us. That's beautiful.
This just blew my mind, absolutely incredible, great music too.
Nice video, thumbs up. Cheers from sunny Sint Maarten in the Caribbean.
this is beautiful. thanks for uploading this
This video breaks me to tears, and connects me with the universe.
If you focus less on the stars moving around us and more on us moving around the stars, it makes you realise how small and insignificant we really are, incredible stuff.
This is truly awesome in the most literal sense of the word.
This might just be the most eye-opening video on here.
This is beautiful and should be reuploaded in 4k
Those are the telescope housings, with a large opening which can be closed by shutters or opened to let in light. Note how they sometimes rotate very slowly, as they are recording images, then suddenly, as they switch to a different celestial object.
Com certeza esse é o vídeo mais lindo que já na minha vida!
Wow this video is so amazing. I love it. Thank you for sharing. 😍
Exactly. At 0:38 you can see the suns starts setting. The exposure will be changed to compensate so it's easy to miss but as the sun goes down more light is captured by longer exposure time and/or wider apertures/higher ISOs.
Under the light of the moon, an exposure long enough will actually look like daylight (since the moon reflects sunlight). Last full moon I took some such shots with exposure times of around 13 seconds.
Amazing! Natural is incredibly beautiful
