The slot is not internaly connected to anything its just a narrow hole. The original had it to put token/credit cards if i am not mistaken. The rs232 port is not internally connected at all and the pcb is missing the rs232 chip. The origin had it to connect to pc for updates.
Thanks mate I just this toy I see it's a hit and miss on what I have to fix but value it as a tool that I didn't pay a arm and leg for. Thanks for you thoughts on it.
These cheap machines are fantastic for leaving in the van. I won't leave my advanced diagnostics programmer in the van, too hot in the summer and too cold in the winter.
Hi When I get to Honda Pilot/ it only shows 2 choices How Many keys (4) and erase all keys . no prompt to add keys. Do I erase all and can I start over and program keys from scratch
The faulty car voltage being too low out of the box new is a concern. The CD 'Manual' pdf is dated 2006 for a different product! Some get ECU not found error messages that some say may go away with a higher battery voltage/jump pack. I will have to test with another cable. Nogo on Honda Jazz 2006 with that ECU not found message. As for cars it may not like I would suggest the same high end German prestige models that expensive programmers also do not like.
I would be interested in what you’re thoughts are on this machine vs the obdstar x100 pro. I thought about this machine but went with a x100 blue machine but for the price I was thinking about picking one of these up as well! So far so good with the new obdstar x100 on North American cars!
You have me interested now, can you tell me if it will do VJ-VO Ford Transits as I have six of them and all have only one key. Also I hope it willdo the Commodores in the Holden section other than the Chevy section. cheers
i need a 2007 dodge nitro pin code can anyone help? is there a tool i can get cheap to read the code i have the launch x431 diagun and it will not give me the pin code to program the new keys.
Was disappointed to find that I could program the keys for a 2014 Chevy Silverado but not the remotes. The remote programming is capped off at 2011 models. I mean who the f*ck came up with that stupidity to allow programming for the keys but not the remotes on the same vehicle?
@@DrLockShop For sure more than $100. Least expensive one I found was close to $1000. Getting it done at the Kia dealer, 2 keys for $150. No locksmiths local (in Maine) had a programmer either.
Do you have another programmer for the same price that can do the same? Its not the best, but the video is about the best value, for $100 you can do alot with it

Is this capable of programming a new WIN module, for 2012 Ram 1500? Thank you for your time!

The serail port is for upgrading the firm ware on the programmer using a nnetwork connection on your computer.

Does not work on ‘03 Honda Civic

This will NOT do a KIA Smart Key. I bought this to program a 2013 Kia Optima and nope. Reads the PIN code won't do the key. Waste of money, really.
I dont think you will find anything to do that for under $100

Garbage. Won't get the pin even if you have a working key. What a joke of a product.
